I like the "switch the roles" aspect of the game. I could not figure out how to get very far though. I think it is generally bad practice to require the middle-mouse button, a lot of people don't have one. However, I also used middle mouse button for movement in my game. Shame on us both.
It looks pretty polished. Congratulations.
@damien-black thanks! I didn't know about middle-mouse button.. it's strange. I'm used to using this button to navigate in Blender, for example.
Okay, that took me 2 dead runs without dealing any damage, before I actually started to understand how to play this. Or at least any. I managed to kill hero by placing a lot of spawners (when I understood these was spawners) almost in the same spot and after getting +2 speed and +1 health is just win. But I still dont understand what the pickaxe is for, and the description says about 3 abilities, and I only see 2... Also, how do I use the dropped icons from killed spawners? Doesn't seem to be doing something when the king passes by. Feets the theme good, and once I fugured out something, I actually got invested. Did you only make one hero? I would definitely play again if you make more, I can see potential in that, if the heroes have different behaviours. Also I think this game requires some limitations in how dense you can put the spawners, because right now, there is no reason to use this big map and leave that spot that you have.
Cool little game, it took me a couple of tries to figure out. Love the idea was hoping for more peeps to vs against after that first guy! I liked that you flip it, so you're the bad guy :smile: Lots of room to expand on this idea, especially they way you've mix base building and being able to use spells. Great job!

@heiden-bzr Thank you! Yea, placing a lot of spawners is a good strategy.
The pickaxe icon destroys all items dropped by killed slimes. These are bonuses for the hero, when he picks it up, he improves himself. But you can't use them.
There should be a chance to get teleport, as a third ability, but something went wrong.
I was planning to add a second hero, but unfortunately I didn't have time.
@glaikunt Thank you for playing! Idea was to make reverse Crimsonland, so that it would be a sort of hero defense game.
I'm not really sure where the difficulty would come from, I just kept making spawners and it seems the hero was no threat at all? I just stayed outside of the range and auto-won. The game looks visually very pleasing, i like the hero jumping around, projectiles graphics and slimes' cuteness c:
Quite confusing to understand how the game mechanics works. First I get dying, then I just spammed the green lettuce on the ground and won. :D
Really fun game. Take a few run to fully understand the game. But I really enjoyed play it. It work really well with the theme.
@lisek-gagatek @samuli @firekiking Thank you guys for playing! There is a lot of randomness in the game, so it will be different game expirience for each game session.
I had a bit of a hard time understanding what I was supposed to do. Read some of the comments and then went back to it and managed to win. I basically went for the "spawner strat" to just overrun the hero. It's a fun idea and I think the graphics are cute. I would have liked a lite bit more hints at how to play and what things do. Never the less, nice little entry :)

Interesting idea but I couldn’t figure out much how to play. I suggest that you write some more explanations in the description, it would be at least something.
I like the idea of "reverse tower defense" or what should you call it. Game is little low on information and feedback whats happening. I kinda spammed the spawners as some other commenters seem to have done and won.
The art is nice and the end screen was nice reward for winning. The world feels little cold/empty though.
Overrall nice idea and execution, but as usual more complex games in jams tend to be unfinished or hard to understand.
The concept definitely has legs! I could see this being expanded and polished into a full game with some more time put into it. It's almost like a reverse vampire survivors. Neat!
