The concept of picking up devils that summon you crazy taxi style is definitely neat. The implementation as a memory game is alright, though it does seem like there's a limit to how far you can go since delivering fares doesn't recharge your timer.

I thought this is a great first game! the idea was very original. I had few trouble for understanding what to do... but in any case well done for doing this on your own!

meepster 2024-04-15 20:38

This is a very cool Submission! Really loved how the game utilized the summoning theme. The art style was great!

Game reminded me a bit of enviro bear with its player view!

Gameplay was easy to understand. There is a level of mastery to this game that I quite liked. At first I was quite slow delivering people but eventually I got into a flow.

sound design could use some work but overall for a solo jam this was a very fun and overall great experience!

dmitry-mozgin 2024-04-15 23:31

I like the art style of the game, it is memorized well. The use of theme is original. But the gameplay of memorizing the moves is not what I do well. Good luck with your first entry!

heretic 2024-04-16 08:06

something in the spirit of the good old flash games, looks fun, but as for me the usual train home:D

letssnack 2024-04-16 08:41

Very funny idea and great pun^^

iaselar 2024-04-16 10:37

Fun interpretation of the theme! I didn't do very well but my memory is .. not great xD

d0vid 2024-04-16 11:30

Loved the game !

- Amazing art-style - Love the humor, some of the customer's names gave me a good laugh :D And I'll not even talk about the name of the game xD - The idea and execution are both a solid 11/10

Great job m8 :D

thatfirey 2024-04-16 12:07

Woah, very interesting and original design of the game, really cool!

robowarrior1982 2024-04-16 12:13

Very interesting game, the art is interesting too.

chrisbeck 2024-04-16 14:39

Really like the concept, but just a little too short for me. It would be great if this could be expanded across multiple days and collecting money depending on how good a job you do? I liked the distorted real world images, it's good to know there's even a Greggs in Hell :joy: Good job!

doonutsaur 2024-04-16 15:14

the minimal game loop drive-checkphone-drive-check street is very nice . good job!

hardytryer 2024-04-16 16:02

This game mechanic reminded me of Hellidivers 2. There, too, you have to press the right combination of keys to summon reinforcements.

I liked the concept and the visual style. The audio effects are missing, but overall great implementation.

Congratulations on the completion of the jam! Good job!

thomaswang 2024-04-16 16:07

I like how it implements a simple driving experience, and the use of real life street photos as the world to navigate. The left/right/forward feels like activating some game cheat codes haha :D

bobbie 2024-04-16 18:46

The use of edited street view images as a map is pretty neat, I haven't seen a jam game do that before

The input did feel a bit inconsistent for me, I was occasionally pressing a direction and it wouldn't do anything, and I ended up having to press it multiple times.

kirass 2024-04-16 23:03

I really liked this game! You guys are great!

adamg 2024-04-17 04:14

This is a cool idea. I would have liked if you could play a little longer, and had multiple days where each day you had to be a little more precise to finish it successfully, but this is a cool intro for a style of game

braktheman 2024-04-17 05:27

I think I liked the concept better than the game itself as I kept trying to move faster than the game would allow - but I will say I found the unique blend of art styles to really be the strong suit here. Congrats on completing your first jam and here's to many more!

framboisedodue 2024-04-17 13:54

Nice idea, would have loved to play even longer !!

denkithegamer 2024-04-17 19:39

Really unique concept! The only problem I had was that after going left or right, I couldn't go forward for a short while.

def-mane 2024-04-17 20:46

Clever idea! wish there was some music or something playing tho. Loved the art style!

chaoticspear 2024-04-17 21:08

Love the idea, the gameplay loop is short but sweet. Really impressive work for solo in such a short time frame. Nice job!

roughskin 2024-04-17 21:35

Loved the play on the theme, and weirdly enough I really liked this artstyle. Nice entry for a jam!

scrapmetal 2024-04-17 21:41

This gets extra points just from the name alone. So great! :ok_hand:

My first time, I just drove around and couldn't figure out what to do. Then when I went back to the main page and noticed you could hit E to bring up your phone, I did a little better the next time... :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Such a great concept!

happyhour 2024-04-18 01:33

congrats on your first entry and good on you for sticking through with it. i think you came up with conceptually something very amusing. hope you stick with it and good luck to your future projects!

wakobu 2024-04-18 09:40

Nice concept, really lack music for ambiance

re-markable 2024-04-18 11:36

Amazing first entry! I always love a good pun, so when I saw "LuciFare" I knew I had to play it hahaha. I really like the use of real images overlayed with 2d art, I think you did a great job making a unique game that fits the theme! :D

soffu 2024-04-18 18:33

Concept is hooked me up! A very fun mix of themes and memory game. Only lack of sound, it could make more impact for a player, but anyway it's a nice first entry, congrats!)

kizilejderha 2024-04-18 19:17

Could be a very fun memory game if we got extra time with each fare and could give inputs a bit faster. I like the way store names and such are edited to fit the theme lol

persepolis 2024-04-18 19:23

A demon taxi driver! Love the concept and the style of combining photos into the scene

chiara-sanviti 2024-04-18 20:09

I must say that the concept is truly particular, excellent work!

frozenfire92 2024-04-18 22:54

Good work for your first jam! The resolution was too big for a jam (usually start at a smaller 16x9 res and allow people to full screen). I wished I could go forward sooner after turning right. Keep on making games!

mertol 2024-04-19 14:59

Fits the theme very well and better call saul

madr 2024-04-20 11:24

Very unique idea and gameplay mechanics. Loved the wheel bounce back animation!

hexy 2024-04-20 12:18

A nice idea that should last longer. The biggest issue I found with it is that my inputs would not always be recognised, which messed with my memory of the route I was supposed to take. Unfortunately this did cause a little bit of jarring for me and is something I would like to see improved in a later version. The lack of ambient music was missed, but I just did what every Uber in the UK does and put on Capital Radio in the background. Surprisingly, it worked! Good job :)

neontropics 2024-04-21 21:57

Very fun idea and fun graphics! It's cool that it feels like a connected 3D space even with only the Google Maps style photos.

The gameplay is a bit simple and gets a little repetitive, and some music and audio effects would go a long way in further selling the theme and humorous mood.

trevor-lentz 2024-04-23 22:12

I was playing at 4k and even changing to 1080p didn't fix the carPOV/ui kind of hovering in the middle. I enjoyed the concept and feel of the game. Very nice work on your first entry! :)

sweetwizzle 2024-04-26 18:44

Good job for a solo submission, and your first jam, no less! The look reminds me of Magicdweedoo's stuff, which is an absolute bonus for me, but I would have liked some more audiovisual feedback for things like not being able to proceed or completing a job. I think my resolution caused an issue where the windshield was cut out in the middle of the screen, but those kinds of bugs and oversights happen to everyone. Overall it was a nice time!

deadjolly 2024-05-01 00:45

Interesting take on the theme. I liked the check phone animation, which is good, because I had to check it after turn. Shoutout to Ozzy. Simple audio for checking phone, honking, etc. would really help the atmosphere. The little details on the cars was a cool addition. Nice job for a first jam entry!
