This doll will blind you
Interesting idea, like the graphics, but mechanics little bit not that understandable from beginning.
build.png Please, tell me how to build the scarecrow)
I tried to hard to grow crops but just kept dying I thought the scarecrows would keep them away, but they acted as decoys Never managed to grow a single tomato! :( LOVELY mood and style though. Nice work.
@hardytryer Hi, yes I had to push the tutorial a bit so I forgot to add the building system to it, to build the scare crow you need to hold 3 logs in your hand and click on them, you can also by looking at a built one see how much HP it has left it starts with a max of 3000 and if you hold a log and click on it it adds 1000 to its hp
wOOOOOOOOOOOOw
Very good visual, like the post processing
I liked this entry, the voxel style stood out to me, I think it looks really good - though I do think the pixelized shader clashes a tiny bit.
The gameplay loop is quite fun, I had a good time watching over my crops although I died before I could harvest them. I think that was my fault though lol.
I think one thing that would improve the game is if you could build things that shoot at the creatures, like a turret or something - as I quite struggled to aim at them, and I was busy cutting down trees and stuff.
All in all, this is a really strong submission that I found quite fun and that was very pretty. Good work!
@reecemungus Thank you for the kind words, I originally wanted to give the scarecrow a gun but I was running out of time so it ended up as just a decoy.
An interesting survival game)
I found that the installer was a bit unnecessary, would've preferred to just have a packaged version with an .exe. Played this through WINE on Linux. Had some bugs, but I'm not sure if they're from the game or because I run it on Linux. At the very least I couldn't play the tutorial, so I ended up not quite understanding how to play the game.
But outside of that, wow, what a great job you've done here! This is a lot of work to achieve in such a short game jam. The vibe is absolutely immaculate, the graphics, the setting, the mechanics and the soundtrack.
Of all the games I've played and rated so far, this one is by far the one that feels the most like an actual game instead of a small prototype. Yes, it's unfinished, but it's still really impressive. Well done!
@mars Thanks so much for the kind words, it's also cool to see someone try it on linux
I like the graphics. Strange, but in a good way. But at night i see nothing and its bad for gameplay. At all its simple and interesting survival game. Greate job!
@forik Thank you, yeah I have to admit the night is pretty dark.
interesting art
Really nice graphical style, although it kind of felt like I was losing my vision. There was a surprisingly large number of game mechanics, but it took me a while to discover all of them, and I was never able to fully understand the various "health bars" on the lower left. I think my tomatoes were falling through the map, which led to me never having enough food to last through the night. But it was still fun defending against the glowing evil rabbits.
@cody-raethke Thanks for the kind words, Yeah I only realised about the tomatoes last minute and was unable to fix it in time
This game is REALLY creepy. Nice entry!
@asfdfdfd Thank you, I originally intended for it to be a horror but that idea changed I just never changed the feel and the colour, also why the nights are so dark
