Very cool graphics! And the game itself is pretty cool. Although it was a little difficult for me with stealth (although in all games where there is stealth, it's hard for me). Great job!

I love the atmosphere. I really like the fact that they can dissipate, it reinforces the vulnerable side of our little fireflies. Love it !

Beautiful graphics! The atmosphere is great. An indicator showing how long my light lasts or is charged would have been nice (or did I miss that?). Nevertheless, I managed to complete all 3 levels. :) Great game!
Insane! Art: Amazing. Music: Super chill. Gameplay: Interesting but too hard for me. I couldn't get past the first enemy type thing. I probably tried 10 times but he always got me. Overall love the game! Good job.

The level of immersion in the game is incredibly high. With such beautiful graphics and music, it’s no surprise. The concept behind the gameplay seemed remarkably interesting to me.

the mood and immersion this games gives with it's music and art is just beautiful and mechanic is innovative. a little more clarity on how much longer you can stay alive would be nice but overall i had a nice experience.

So far, I can definitely say that this game is the best game from this LDjam. It has the art, the sounds, the music and the mood to look and feel like a real production game. GJ and keep it up, I loved playing it (and I will play it more, since I haven't finished it :D).
I was really confused by the mechanics at first, I think they could be explained (or better yet - shown) in some way. Overall very pretty art, unique concept and I had a lot of fun playing it:)

Nice and moody, but it takes some time to understand the mechanics. But I didn't figure out how to keep my fireflies from dying.

Great art and music combined to produce a really cool atmosphere. It took me a lot of goes to get past the first enemy but I'm glad I did otherwise I would have missed the different environments and challenges you created. It would have been nice if there was a clearer indication of your "light" level and when your "hide" ability availability. The darkening of the screen was a bit too subtle for me. Overall, really impressive game!

Очень красивый и качественный визуал, но неудобное управление. Было бы куда удобнее, если бы во время игры высвечивались подсказки того, что нужно делать (прятаться от тех же стражников (?) например), а не допирать до этого самостоятельно уже после того, как ты умер.
Очень интересная пиксельная графика, а также отлично передана атмосфера. Багов я не заметил во время игры, механики интересные и вцелом это одна из самых крутых игр на всем людуме!!!

Beautiful graphics and audio direction, let down by confusing and difficult gameplay. I think this would really benefit from being more lenient in the stealth detection because I found it incredibly hard to judge when to hide/appear and not be seen and killed. Really nice concept though, and really excellent for a weekend's work!

This is so beautiful. Great atmosphere and the timing challenges were just difficult enough to keep me wanting to play thorugh until I completed it. Nearly gave up during the prayer section before I realised I could pause behind the pillars. Only note is that I'd have liked more of an ending - unless I accidentally skipped a longer sequence, it seemed to just happen instantly at the end. Really enjoyed this.

What a strong atmosphere. I have started by playing a cute game and a few screens later and an underground passage, I was vibrating like when I played Burnhouse Lane the first time. Your music and sound effects are very efficient. Your graphics are nice too, they're pretty and your character design is interesting.

Superb art and atmosphere, with great staging and clever ideas to setup the mood. Unfortunately as some have pointed out, I felt that the game is too punitive (for me). With a game like yours, and your strong point being art, I wouldn't have mind a simpler gameplay if it allowed me to take in the atmosphere more calmly if you know what I mean. Anyhow, I'm just being picky. The game IS great.

Stay until the end, your lore and mood is stunning, graphic is beautyfull and the game is poetic. This game is one of the best I play in this gamejam actually, the only thing that was a bit hard to understand was the hide cooldown on hiding mechanic that kill me a lot during my early try. Keep coding an making such nice game!

The visuals are great. The sprites and the light work really do the job! The music enhances the atmosphere - minimal and a bit ominous. In my opinion, the need to hurry (as the fireflies would go out if you don't) doesn't really fit the rest of the design. I would expect more need to sneak and skulk :wink:
But a great entry overall!

Pixel art is amazing! I kinda wish checkpoints were a bit more prevalent since some parts of the levels felt needlessly frustrating, but definitely one of the best looking games from the jam
The art and sound both made for a very nice, mysterious atmosphere, and the overall game feels amazingly polished. I did kind of miss the little floating fireflies once they became humanoid though--they were so lovely to look at.
The game creates an impressive atmosphere through eerie music, exquisite art, and a clever light-and-shadow gameplay mechanic. I think it’s truly worthy of being called a piece of art.
There’s one level's checkpoint that I wasn’t quite satisfied with. In that level, the player starts in a room and needs to push a box onto a switch to open the door. After dying, the player has to repeat the process every time. Since this is essentially a 'puzzle that’s already been solved,' repeating it feels a bit tedious. The other parts of the game lean more towards testing the player’s skill. I think adjusting the checkpoint in this level would improve the experience.
I also agree with some other reviews that the firefly form is more fun than the human form. I felt a bit frustrated that the human form couldn’t hide anymore.
I’m really curious about the man mumbling before the ending—who is he? Is he the one who killed the girl? What was his purpose? The ending doesn’t seem to clarify this, or did I miss the 'true ending'?

Beautiful game, very cool atmosphere. I also really like the premise for the story. Some checkpoints felt a little frustrating at points, I wish certain areas saved a bit more progress. I had to re-do the first box pressure plate multiple times over as I kept accidentally doing the wrong things. I think the presentation is top notch.

Stunning experience. Art is extremely good, atmosphere is on point! Some parts were a tiny bit frustrating but the gameplay calls for it, and is aside from that quite fun and explicit. Sound design was great too! Great job, great entry <333 NB: First time I tried to play on browser I was kinda stuck in a loop, like intro cutscene kept replaying. I just hit refresh on my browser and everything went smooth from there... Couldn't reproduce it.

I really loved your game! I think I softlocked myself with the box and the door though. I pushed it too far and I could not get it to go on the pressure plate. The different atmospheres are really well made and feel distinct between the level while still being cohesive with the overall mood of the game. Plus the art is really beautiful. The fireflies gameplay is a really interesting take on the theme. Great job!
Absolutely stunning pixelart, lighting effects and atmosphere. Best entry in this regard I have played thus far! General design seemed really good, and the gameplay, a tad bit frustrating at times, was really enjoyable. The music brought everything toghether!
Dare I say this is my favourite atmospheric game I have played so far (and I made an atmosphere based game as well :skull: You blew me completely out of the water!)

The game seemed moderately difficult, but I liked the control of the humanoid form a little less. I would like some more detailed ending, for example, a picture or text that explains everything. An amazing atmosphere, it feels like there isn't enough music in the game. Overall the game looks incredible for 3 days, The gameplay is fun, because there is some special mechanics. I liked the game. But i wouldn't really agree with the theme usage, not the main thing of the game. And else you need an repeat level button because at the third room i placed the box to the door because i didn't see the floor button at first, and then i couldn't do anything so i leaved the game and joined again and it started from the beginning.

Take this review with a grain of salt, I'm going to be pretty critical because there's a *very* good game in here, but also quite a few elements that nearly made me stop playing on several occasions out of frustration. All of the timings felt too tight. The whole first section creates this really great atmosphere, which makes you want to take your time to enjoy (and make sure you're not running headlong into danger), but you pretty much have to just hold right the whole time or you won't be fast enough. I nearly gave up from frustration in the first section until I realized that you have to stop at each lantern to "charge up", it would be nice to have that explained more clearly. The "searchlights" that flash on and off also have very punishing hitboxes, and I died many times to having just the tiniest bit of the character in the light. It's also frustrating to have charging enemies show up from behind you, there's no way to expect them, since you never passed them, they just appear behind you, and you're pretty much guaranteed to die the first time.
Again, I hope I don't come across as too negative, because I *really* like the core of this game, but it was more frustration than fun for me.
