@jordaneh sorry to hear that lol. Unfortunately, I couldn't implement a proper pathfinding system for the dog since the time is limited. However, we will continue to develop this game further and make sure that other people won't lose their dogs like you did. Trust me!
Great game! Really creative environments! :)
The graphics are smooth and i think being able lose abilities by taking damage from enemies is good idea.
I had some funny moments where I got stuck forever and the dog flew into space

Though I think you set a great vibe in the first level! Though I kind of lost that vibe after finding the kick button. I think a more powerless character would go better with the spooky style and sound design. Well done on your entry :thumbsup:

@king-kujito I know that there are bugs because it is a game made within 48 hours.( I know that it is not a excuse for the bugs :( ) Kick button's OP ability is just because we didn't have time for implementing everything in our mind, so we just implemented stuff which is meant to be fun in our opinion. However, in the full game, our character might be weaker. Overall, thanks for your precious feedback, it points to some of the fatal flaws of the game. :)
I love the attack animation, it kinda looks like a ballet-kick to me :D Also it looks realy Cthulhu-esque :)
Dog in the game is a great idea, but as mentioned above, it is very sad when a dog is lost or dies. I tried to keep the dog, but I didn't succeed. It could not jump over the lake. You can just teleport the dog behind the screen if it is far away.
I like the idea that in this dark world has a little friend who will be next to me and be able to defend. If you add simple AI for the dog, such as growling or attack enemies, or vice versa whine and fear. This will strengthen a sense of attachment to the dog. 🐕
Let me know if you change anything in the game. I'll be happy to play again.

@uchiro I know that the dog's AI is not the best AI in the world. However, me and my friend plan to develop the game further and add more features to the game. We just put that dog in the game for a little gimmick. We didn't think further fur the jam but definetely that dog will have more abilities other than just following the player. Nice graphic and idea! Maybe it will be better if you can move and attack at the same time and when you loose you can statr at the beginning of the current level

@marmeladki first of all thank you for your comment! Yes, will implement the attacking whilemoving feature definetely. The way you spawn when you die might change according to where this game goes actually. I mean if it will be a linear story game, your system sounds logical. However, it may not be linear story game. Who knows? Time will tell what this game is going to look like :)

A very athmospheric game with a nice artstyle and good sound effects. It also plays quite well, although the "combat" physics seemed a bit unpolished. Lost my doggo to the water which was really sad. I played for a bit, but there is no ending, is there? Anyway, really enjoyed it, great mood!
Poor dog. Nice art style, and very nice opening level. The main level was very repetitive though.

Controls in this game are very clumsy and the fact that I had to hit enemies with a heel made me laugh (not really in a bad way, but it's funny) :) But the atmosphere is gorgeous, creepy, thick (for me it's something between Limbo and Badland).
I feel like the jump was too high and slow. I really feel bad for the dog (althought at first I thought it was an enemy XD). For me the main level was quite long and not much happening (maybe more platforming?) and the enemies were too easy to beat (maybe more kinds of enemies would be good?). I like the graphics and artstyle a lot, very cool atmosphere!
Nice little game. The controls are a little bit floaty sometimes and when the enemies arrive it is hard to escape and to fight. But overall a nice game.
