Neat idea. Getting on the side is a little tricky, especially with digital inputs. I'd consider adding some physics assists to help get onto the side.

Spent 5 minutes trying to roll a coin up a single ramp. The Dark Souls of physics-based games. :D
Fun idea, hilarious title, and I love that the face on the coin changes expression!
I absolutely loved the take on this theme lmao. 10/10
This is fun! The quirky art style is cool, the gameplay is fun (if not a little frustrating in a good, challenging way), and it makes quite possibly the most literal use of the theme I've seen so far.
Phew, this is tough! Feels like riding a bicycle for the first time 😅
I really like the funny face on the coin. And the scene transitions are well done.
Way too touchy to control (on keyboard at least), can't keep the coin upright for more than a second, but it's an interesting concept with a pleasant presentation.
Thanks for playing @deathbysnail @otresnjak @zubspace @shp sorry about the tough-ass controls, was trying to balance it between feeling like an actual coin and being able to move it around. For now the solution is to start rolling it the moment it stands upright.
@b3agz @morg didn't feel the theme strongly this time round, but glad you found this interpretation fun!
Considering you did this in only **one** day, it's fun! Controls definitely need some tweaks though
I liked the backstory and the coin animations was really nice. The second level was way too hard for me though. I could manage to get up, after much struggle and wobble roll two or three grid spaces at the most. So either the controls need some helper feature that lets you get up standing on the edge easier before you start rolling. Or maybe the coin could get wider/thinner with progression to gauge the difficulty as the player gets more skilled. I also think level 2 should not introduce three new problems (bouncing balls, rolling, going uphill). One of them would have been enough, and I guess rolling downhill should be easier than uphill, so it would make sense to have that first.
Nice work. The character is super cute and I love that all the dead coins stay in the level. I made it through to the end but that second level is a crazy difficulty spike. Main comment would be that with platform style games you want to have a bit more lenient jump off ledges. I found if I was near an edge I wouldn't jump. Overall really fun.
At first I thought this game was going to be ridiculously hard, but actually it's quite intuitive. It's not hard at all to jump onto your side and start rolling. Good job on getting that right. I like the coins of the fallen remaining after you fail. Could do with some sound effects but otherwise it's a nice little game!
The animation on the coin <3 Especially when he's about to fall :D
Reminded me of the Bread game :) Great example of a really fun and addicting game you can make relying on physical engine
Really good game... But so hard :D ! Love the physics of the "player" Good job ;)
Hello! I knew you for the game De/Void, it was an awesome game, so I decided to play your entry for this ludum dare too.
I played for much more time than I am proud to admit hahahaha, maybe 1 and a half hour. It was definitely a VERY challenging game, but extremely rewarding too. The mechanic is so simple but you can do so many things with it, it was very smart of you to do this.
Trying to put the coin on the side to let is slide, together with the lock on the camera view was really, really smart.
That ramp on the last level was the hardest part, for sure, but the Esc button that wipes all the dead coins of the way was very well thought.
The animations on the face of coin ant the story were a very nice touch, you have a sensitivity to do simple things that works so well, it's inspiring.
I finished the game with an extremely rewarding feeling, you did an awesome job, again! Good game.
I really enjoyed this one. Trying to get a diagonal roll going to cross the chairs was maybe a little too finicky, but otherwise I thought the controls were just tough enough to present a challenge, but feel satisfying once you got a good roll going. The graphics were great and the style is very charming, and I felt a great sense of accomplishment with each level I completed. Awesome work!
@sciman101 thanks, no excuse for the game being it is though - it definitely needs more playtesting and refining!
@local-minimum Level 2 was intentionally designed to forced to learn coin-rolling before doing anything else as it would make their journey through the rest of the game much faster - on hindsight that might be too much of a punishment early on though. Agree that I should've added one challenge at a time, thanks for playing and feedback!
@vimlark agree that the jump and ground detection is quite hackey at the moment. Great idea on having a lenient jump - I keep forgetting such details for platformers. Congrats on making it all the way, that must have been quite a challenge (especially L2)!
@adam-clayden thanks for playing and glad you found it not too difficult - there's still a bit of learning curve though. When it came to time for making sound effects and music, I was just too spent. Might do an post jam update with sound, just because the game feels too empty without any sound effects.
@datagreed that I am Bread game looks like fun! Thanks for playing my entry!
@deformhead thanks for playing, yes it is real challenging!
@eduardo-yukio Wow, thanks for remembering my game from past LDs, I'm really surprised and touched  glad I didn't skip out this time round. I think it was a bit more challenging than I would prefer it to be, but that was a real long time spent playing my game! Feeling bad that it felt a bit more rushed out than usual - had wanted to draw some pictures for the intro and add music/sfx but that was unfortunately not done. And that tacked on story was a little cheesy, but glad that you made it to the end!
@dan-thompson Agree on the finicky diagonal roll - it still feels like I could have explored an alternative movement there but it ended up as a more challenging roll. Thanks for playing!
Love the way you used the theme. The controls are hard. You need to find a balance between usability and difficulty. Great job!
Funny game! I couldn't beat the third level, but I had fun getting there. The physics are really fun and silly.
Very fun and the tutorial was short, easy and informative!
Interesting idea, but couldn't even beat level 2
Hah! Controlling a coin is harder that it looks :P my urge to 'steer' constantly gets me to fail and flop. The controls are really tricky, but I slowly got the hang of it, they are very unique. I would have loved some soundeffects/music - preferably something a bit silly.
I dig the concept of reincarnating as a coin as punishment :P
Wow, I would have never imagined a platformer with those controls! I've reached level 3 but didn't find a way to continue. Good job.
Interesting concept, but it's very difficult! I love the face expressions xD Congrats!
Loved the look of the coin. The controls ended up being frustrating, resulting in me not wanting to continue. Would have been interesting if there was just a roll mode and a jump mode for flipping the coin. Still loved that the face of the coin changed.
I really like the expressions on the coin and the concept overall. Gameplay was a bit difficult, especially getting the coin rolling properly. (Sounds would be a nice addition, but I understand 3 days is not a lot of time!)
It's very hard to make a coin roll, it's crazy. The design is simple, but the coin is fun :) Reminds me of a game where you have to play for a piece of bread haha. And yes, a terrific intro, it made me laugh out loud :)
