I love the look and feel to the game but I've been searching for about 30 minutes and can't find the 2nd letter. I really want to finish it though!

I headed north and searched around every tree I could find but no sign of the 2nd letter :( Any advice ?
The game looks good !
OK, really the first game at LD in which I had to lower the quality settings. If I judged by screenshots, I would think that this was made in Unreal. So many materials and particles. I took it as a walking simulator and in this role it's very good (nice sounds too). I found 3 letters, but after that still got lost (and fell into NOTHING).
You should write us all a walkthrough :)
Thank you for the kind words and thank for playing my game. The second letter is North. Hop back to where you have found the first letter and head North you will find yourself at the edge of a cliff it should be under the cliff on your left.
Another hint all the letters is on wooden creates.
They game is very immersive, once i started i couldent stop xd. Good job
Beautiful immersive environment. Reminded me of Myst series. I loved the compass :)
nice
As a tech demo of what anyone can do in Unity within 72h, this is great! I love the day/night cycle and the graphics and environment in general. Great stuff. Controls and plays very smooth, although the download size is quite massive ;)
As to the gameplay, well, following letters is tried-and-true of course, although you really need to place the second letter somewhere -much- closer. I finished the game without finding it! In fact, I finished the game by just finding three letters (4, but I couldn't pick one of them up). As such, the story was - to say the least - a bit disjointed. But I do hope Leonard finds peace!
Great place to wander there :)
Interesting idea. I included it in my Ludum Dare 45 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/Bucux0B4E5k
I really struggled with this. I could not find letter 2 for the life of me, ended up stumbling onto letter 7 instead, and then found what I assume to be letter 8 but I couldn't open it or read it. Dunno if sequence breaking broke it, or if it's MacOS, or what, but it's pretty unfortunate I couldn't continue, even though I was way ahead and confused at that point.
I think the game would benefit from more distinct clues, or specific landmarks, instead of just "go X direction", but I didn't get to experience much ultimately, so it's hard to judge properly.
I appreciated the idea, though!
An overall impressive experience, especially for the timeframe of the Ludum Dare! The basic premise definitely had me hooked, and figuring the story along as I found the letters (I didn't find all of them, and it's already been mentioned finding the second one is hard) added to the experience. The nights tended to get a little too dark for me so I usually waited them out. But I did find a letter in complete darkness once, so the candles were a good touch! The audio and the overall ambiance was also very well done.
this was a bit heavy to download, aside from that, the music is very beautiful and the landscape you created is quite impressive, it seems like a good exploration experience which I wish I could appreciate for longer .. the light rays are amazing how did you achieve that?
Like a TextBased Retro adventure but with nice graphics and first person controlls. Nice Job!
The graphics are nice, but I wasn't able to find any notes. I walked north and found some trees, but none of them really stood out. I can see from the comments that it is hidden on some cliff, but this is a bit difficult to figure out on your own. Referencing shade, etc. makes me think of trees, so I looked around trees. If this is meant to be a puzzle game, then maybe the difficulty should have been more gradual (with the second one pretty easy to find, then gradually appearing in more obscure locations). It would also make a lot more sense if the notes were placed near more unique landmarks.
Hey man,
you did not create the grass, trees, ground textures flowers etc. These are all standard assets that come with gaia.
I don't think you were trying "fool" anyone, I just think you are unaware that you have to opt out of the graphic section if you did not create the assets yourself. Same goes probably for the audio.
Please still opt out, you still have the option on your game page. It is unfair to all the creators that spend their time creating assets. I myself used premade assets (some of which are the same as yours, that's how i know for sure), which is why I opted out of said categories.
Really great graphics. Even using assets, you managed very well to put all together. I wished for more clues or indications, I can't locate even the second letter and when the night came, I couldn't see nothing so I quit the game. I think improving the learning curve of the game adding another type of challenge would be very nice.
