I think it's done well and fun :) But it's very difficult to quickly understand what's going on. I would add more tips for the player in the dialogs, i guess.

@daria-toni Thank you for the feedback! I will try to communicate better with players going forward.

jasond 2019-04-30 03:12

Looks interesting - the mood/theme is definitely there! But I think I'm missing something, because I can't figure out what's actually going on...

lot9s 2019-04-30 03:18

@jasond A lot of what's going on is communicated in the description of the game. That said, I could have done a better job of highlighting the '[Store]' button when it appears. When you win the first time, you can click on the [Store] to spend your life points.

shaolin-dave 2019-04-30 05:14

I'm not sure I get it. I played once and it froze after I tied twice. Second time I tied then noticed the "Store". I bought "Lucky" and clicked "Birth"... and it's frozen again. I don't know if the game's broken or if I'm playing it wrong.

hutchings90 2019-04-30 05:17

I think it would help to update the description of the game. I had to read the comments in order to understand what was going on. Even then, I'm not 100% sure.

calzep 2019-04-30 05:18

I LIVED, took me a while. Uhh wish it was a little more than just rock paper scissors.. and not really sure how the upgrades worked or if they even mattered.

lot9s 2019-04-30 22:27

@shaolin-dave Sorry that the game froze! I didn't encounter that bug in my play tests, and would love to be able to re-create it for debugging purposes. Would you mind sharing which browser you used to play the game? Also, did you make your RPS selections quickly?

@hutchings90 Would you suggest that I update the description to address navigation issues? I'd be happy to do it --- just need to know what information would be useful to post.

@calzep Congratulations! Originally, I planned to have a whole bunch of mini-games to play against Death, but one mini-game was all I could manage in the time I had to set aside for the LD Jam last weekend.

Tied death 3x won 2 hands then wasn't bored. 10/10 would gamble my life on those ties! Fits the theme for sure. Wasn't quite sure what the shop was useful for.

iferit 2019-05-01 03:52

I think i'm doing it wrong... Is this just paper rock scissors? I feel like there is more to it.

hutchings90 2019-05-01 04:25

What was going on as I played wasn't very clear to me. I didn't see any indication of the value of my winnings, just that the word store was present or not present. I wasn't sure if the rock, paper, scissors game was all there was to it. Making that clear in the description would be helpful.

squirmonkey 2019-05-01 06:17

Uh, maybe I'm doing something wrong, but this appears to be a game where you click a button and then it tells you you lost. All of the buttons make you lose. ???

lot9s 2019-05-01 15:39

@squirmonkey I'm afraid that was just a bout of bad luck. Winning is certainly possible.

dimoon-ly 2019-05-01 19:53

Good game, but I wonder why I won since I only clicked scissor and it said I lived...

lot9s 2019-05-01 21:27

@dimoon-ly That's odd behavior. Could you please describe what happened in greater detail? Clicking on scissor shouldn't short circuit the player to the win condition...

flying-dog-fish 2019-05-01 23:06

Interesting concept, but there's not much of an actual game here, just random guessing and hoping you'll live when you can finally click birth.

413x 2019-05-01 23:11

Dont quite know whats going on. Feels kinda random.

allan-urique 2019-05-01 23:22

Very nice, interesting concept I would just add more tips to whats you objective, it was very fast at first XD

ryusui 2019-05-01 23:37

Presentationally it's okay, but the lack of feedback is infuriating. There's no indication of how many "life points" you have, and the life points you win seem to have no real purpose except to unlock the ability to "win" the game as soon as you win a round: as far as I can tell, all the options in the Store menu are useless.

I'll say "NEVER BORN" is a solid candidate for the creepiest game over message I've ever gotten, though.
