The idea is so relatable, just two more minutes of sleep please.. I liked the graphics and the jump physics feels good to play. I'm struggling to make it past the higher platform in the first level however, since the camera is locked on the left side and I can't see the rest of the map or enemy (which was on the left side of the hand). I will keep trying!
Super cute game I am obsessed with the art style and animations. The music is also super fun to listen to! Unfortunately I couldn't get the browser version to work, like I couldn't move the character or do anything except listen to the music and watch the hand bob up and down.
this game is really complete and beautiful (the graphics are awesome, the animations are stunning) i love how you made use of the theme
Love the adorable art! Sound design is good too! I am, unfortunately, terrible at platformers, and could never quite get the last of the alarm clocks on those damned lower platforms, lol! Great work though :-)
The sound design on this game is absolutely incredible, and the visuals are great too. The gameplay, however, is absolutely busted: - Sometimes when starting you see a level select screen, and other times it brings you right into the game. Both have different first levels - The second level in the "level select screen" mode never lets you go through the exit, even when all enemies are dead - Sometimes when you jump on a big clock you take damage for no reason - Small clocks... what even??? Sometimes damage, sometimes no damage. Often damage if they jump, even if you are above - Bells. These are basically impossible to kill. You don't bounce at all off of them, or maybe you bounce, but not enough to bounce again, so you just collide and take damage. - Level 3 of the "no level select screen" mode, has two bells defending each other, which is an unfair nigh unbeatable combo - Level 13 on the level select screen has a jump that I'm pretty sure is impossible - Level 14 (I think) has an exit door that appears to be a child object of one of the clocks. It walks side to side with the clock, and disappears when the clock is killed. Unbeatable. - ... This is about where we gave up
adorable art but quite hard and a lil confusing :)
I liked the music and the Art style. I also like how instead of there being a countdown of 10 seconds, you instead made it so that every enemy defeated adds up to 10 seconds. While those are the aspects i like about the game, the platforming part needs some work. Some things I would suggest adding/tweaking is:
- Have the bells only shoot if you are in front of them and are on a certain distance away from them on the X-Axis -Add the ability to jump below thin platforms if pressing jump and down - perhaps add a smaller player hitbox or make the hand smaller to give the player some space to jump/avoid enemy attacks
Another thing I would suggest is to prioritize gameplay (with some polishing) over adding a variety of levels. but Overall I think within a small period of time, I still see a good amount of quality and effort put into the game. nice job!
Interesting take on the puzzle platformer. Great art and great music and sound! It was hard but doable which is a nice balance. Clever integration of the theme, too - collecting 10 seconds to progress was a good idea! I feel like the enemies maybe could have broadcast their attacks a bit more to give you more of a chance to avoid them but, overall, excellent game!
Very innovative take on the theme, I really like the hand as the player character. The game is hard, but still playable.
nice concept this is the first game that is not time based ! art / animation are really great, audio give a great feeling ! (just one note: unfortunatly level 2 is too hard for me i didnt manage to finish it )
I love the art, but the camera seems to have trouble in some sections which can ruin the gameplay at times. But, overall, nice work!
I liked the artwork and the premise. Despite being a basic platform, the idea of the hand and the watches was very original.
Some bugs need to be fixed. In some stages I can't pass because the door disappears.
Congratulations on the work.
The graphics, audio and atmosphere is honestly great, really nailed it! The game is unfortunately a bit frustrating to play.
The fact that the camera always keeps the player on the left makes it very difficult to see anything when trying to go right, which you sometimes have to do. The collision is also a bit unforgiving, sometimes you do damage when jumping on the clocks, sometimes you take damage instead, so the hitboxes are not really clear.
It would also be great to be able to jump down from platforms, sometimes it was hard to kill enemies on a middle platform because you had to be careful not to jump through to the platform above, and there wasn't a lot of space to work with.
Great job with the submission either way, hope you will work on a post jam version!
Neat game, but I feel its beautiful art and nice music is a bit lost in the not-so-fun gameplay. Moving and jumping feels alright, but it seems really arbitrary as to whether an enemy will hurt me or vice versa. Are the bells which shoot projectiles to the sides even possible to beat? I've tried that level a dozen or more times but I always get killed by the bell (which somehow takes 2 lives at once). I think just *once* did I damage it, but then was killed immediately after. Sometimes enemies just ... disappeared? And as noted in the comments already, the camera should let the player see to the left too.
Another entry which bends the theme. This game has theme like this: Every 10 seconds count. That being said, it could be good if only hitbox were better, at least visually. I don't understand why enemies could hit me when I'm clearly stomping them.
