I'm not sure what is going on, but when I launch the game I get the unity splash screen, then it just hangs on your splash screen without progressing. Is that a bug, or am I missing something (it can be hard to tell with this theme sometimes haha)
Hangs on the unity splash screen (Windows). Screenshots look great, will come back later to try again.

Same problem as above unfortunately, hangs on splash screen on Windows 10 64bit. As it is a Unity game you could try compiling a WebGL version.
The player froze for me after I entered the room after the first puzzle. But I really dig the music and the effort that you put into the art.
On OS X, like @saltfactory-studio it hangs after you enter the third room. Looks nice, though.

Looks like it no longer hangs, but the resolution is really, really low! Maybe enable window resize, resolution selection or set the default resolution to something like 1600x1200. Tried playing it, but unfortunately it was small enough where I couldn't read the instructions. Will check back in a bit!

This looks dope. Wish I could play it on my mac

I wish I could play more, but I got stuck after the first puzzle as well (unable to do anything). The visuals and music are great though!
I like the style, I want to play more, but like others, I'm stuck after the first puzzle.
What are the controls? I cam move easily, but beyond that, l_control, rmb, lmb, q, e, what I consider to be the usual suspects do nothing.

I love the graphics and the music. Like others have said, I can't do anything after that first room. I also do wish the attack animation would play even when there's nothing to attack, that would have helped reduce confusion at first.

great art and music, but is there really only 1 puzzle? i cant move after.
Was dodging missiles for a good 2 minutes before I went afk and realized they deflected off me... From your description the lack of explanation for the controls seems intentional, but in any game when you see a missile flying at you, you don't usually think "I'm gonna let that hit me in the face!"

Got stuck on this puzzle. Probably bug. Tag me when you fix it and I`ll rate you. Art & sounds nice

Dear @team-on, thank you very much for waiting. We were fixing an infernal bug, but today we fix it.
This events need more people like you. Now you can play our game. Thank you a lot.

I like the art and animation, unfortunately the camera following is pretty jarring, and I think it should center on your character more and not move so fast. Not sure if the game crashed or if I finished it.

@druvsaft You should reopen it :D
Crashed for me after finishing a couple of rooms. Graphics looked great!

Nice graphic, I like the style. :)
The game crashed for me, but I can see from other comments that you are aware of that.

I am going to drop a small hint here for others. Start it again, use Continue.

Couldn't get past the monolith. The sfx seem super loud, but the presentations pretty damn neat, would like to see more of this game :)
I went through about 4 or 5 puzzles (it was time to awake), then when I restarted I accidentally clicked New Game instead of continue... :sob:
Very pretty and sounds great!
I don't really like the real-time deflect things with your sword gameplay for a puzzle game - plus the tutorial telling me to attack and the attack animation made it feel like this wanted to be a fighting game rather than a puzzle game?
I have no idea how this game ties into the theme?
Forgot to say, the restart to resume seems like an interesting and innovative idea for a mechanic, it's just not terribly clear to the player what's going one - looks like a crash.

@neonlare Thank you so much for you feedback! C:
@chaotikza Hi, our game ties into the theme by this way: Don't know anything at the start, but you can know more and more as you go. And, thank you so much for you feedback too. <3
Smooth controls and a world worth exploring! It ran good for me but I saw some other comments that had me prepared for a bug, I would just suggest to update your information to let people know it's been fixed. Good submission!
@bradleyashley Thank you! Just added an update notice!

I like it! Had a few issues with crashes between every level, but I just needed to restart the game and press continue. Thank you for the game!

@hermitao Hello! Thanks for your review! The crashes were meant to be intentional, as a way to give an example of breaking the fourth wall; although it got kinda confusing and we apologize for it. On another note, did you check your desktop? you may have missed some stuff if you didn't!
Wow, splash screen, puzzle game play, sweet char controller, awesome music, so polished!
Nice graphics and presentation. Idea is fun. The camera was incredibly jarring though. It jerked to either direction you turned to too far and too fast. Made it difficult to focus on what you were aiming for.

Nice assets, but the gameplay and the répétitive fake crashes are to be improved I think. First the sword hitbox should be bigger since I feel like it can't redirect the arrows on some angles (and it's frustrating not to really see where it works). Also le camera has probably been monted on a wet soap (:p) seeing how it moves.
For the fake crashes I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to redirect on the title screen instead. That way we don't have to see the splash screen each time.
To conclude I think this game is like getting served a wondefull plate... that falls on the floor, through a hole in the ground, inside a transdimensionnal portal then a wormhole ans somehow still gets right on your table. That's an experience.
Jokes appart, I've added you game in my itch collection. So thanks for the game!

Very polished submission! Great aesthetics / mood / audio. Only point of advice I had is that the deflecting using the sword feels a bit wonky because the hitbox is imo a bit to small. Keep on making games!
"Impressive game, Very cool concepts. I left wishing that there is more. Had a lot of fun "
It was pretty fun to play, the graphics are really nice and fit together well, the mood as well!
As others have noted; The deflect feels a bit annoying to use because of the hitbox, the camera feels a bit weird and the fake crashes felt kinda strange. But man this game feels fun though!
Awesome

Love your game mechanics and art (including animations). Collision box sometimes may be pretty harsh!

Not bad for a game made mostly by kids, looks like an amazing first experience into this world. Still long way to go but great work anyways. Keep the good vibes!!

I really loved the mystery and surprising turns. I will not go into more detail to avoid spoilers. See me puzzling here (do not watch before playing!): https://youtu.be/TKMadkFzmWI
Ok, this is really clever, and I won't spoil it.
People who downloaded this trough the Itch app, you should make sure to run it directly by double-clicking on it in Explorer (or Finder), rather than launching it from the client, because if you launch it from the client, it'll _look_ like it works (e.g. the game loads and you can sort of play it) but it doesn't work the way it's _intended_ to work and you cannot actually finish the game.
Some notes for the developer on fixing the Itch client problems:
!>But I will say, at least on Mac (and quite possibly on Windows) this super cool clever thing this does _doesn't work_ when you run the game from the Itch client, because of [Itch sandboxing](https://itch.io/docs/itch/using/sandbox.html). The developer needs to set an [App Manifest](https://itch.io/docs/itch/integrating/manifest.html) and opt out of the sandbox with `sandbox = false` in order for the game to work properly when run from the Itch app. !> Also, just as a general note, it's really hard to pull something like this off smoothly; when you make your game crash intentionally as part of a secret puzzle, you need to make _really certain_ that it doesn't ever crash _unintentionally_, or the player is even more likely to assume the game is just buggy (something that is already a risk with just the intentional crash). Likewise, if you're going to have the game do unusual things a game wouldn't normally do, you have to make extra sure they work properly. Of course, that's hard to do given the constraints of a game jam.
Hello @philomory !! Thank you very much for such valuable feedback! We were not aware of these kind of itch sandboxing issues :O and, as you said, it is not easy to prototype and test a game like this within a game jam ... We'll post an update soon with some fixes including a couple of bugs and a workaround for the itch sandboxing functionalities affecting our core features. Thanks a lot!
Man @rialgar I must admit I got stunned by that amazing 44 minute review. You went deep in what we put on the table, you did it the right way!, you really got us thinking about a postmortem for Monolith. Thank you and keep up with those great reviews!
@soulblaster Thanks for your kind message! This is very important for the kids!

@kalucifer thanks for the response, as alluded to in the video itself, the main audience of these are the developers/designers of the games. The videos are not meant to be entertaining, but to experience something that LD particpants rarely get: actual playtesting by someone who did not work on the game. I just love when people answer me and show me that they now understand their own game better than before .
Fun game with nice graphics and great audio. My biggest complaint was with the camera movement, which moved oddly in such a way that made me feel a little nauseous. Good entry

Really loved the aesthetic and style of this jam! The sprite work was unbelievable and the soundtrack was very fitting of the work :) third level definitely had me stumped though XD I must've been doing something wrong, but other than that this was a great pleasure!
