LD45 — Start with nothing

Start with no dice by Listonos 2019-10-10T17:42:17Z

I really like the concept :D It reminds me a bit of a board game called Dice Forge that has the same mechanics of customising dice. But I think the ballncing can be improved and I will try to explain why :

Due to the way the game ends, it depends a lot on the fact that you can discard sides. I played a game where the other player hadn't a possibility to do customisation and I had only one. It made the game stagnate for a while untill I could purchase other discard sides and speed up the process. But I finished with 249 where the other player had only 150.

Also I think the quantity needed to end the game is to big. Or there should be more ways to discard sides for example.

On another side, it may be nice to a some things to speed up the turn, like skipping the purchasing phase if you cannot purcahse.

But I'd like to conclude by the fact this is a really good game and the first one I play that want to play again and again :)

Gravity Fusion by Steffo 2019-10-08T15:52:46Z

That was nice. If I had to suggest something it would be to make the particles spawnable by holding the mouse button instead of clicking, maybe.

Anyway, thanks for the game !

Begging Simulator 2019 by lekiy 2019-10-10T15:30:32Z

I like the assets, but the gmaplay and controls have to be improved a lot I think. I undersant this is still in a prototype stage, tho.

Anyway it may be something really nice to play I think so good luck if you plan on working on the game after tje LD's end ;)

The Legend of Sky Stones by Iluvatar 2019-10-11T11:29:31Z

That was really nice! Just un detail : when clicking on the "Leave" button on the menu, the "Quit" and "Play" texts are a bit out of their buttons. But that's really tiny detail ^^

Just One More by grena 2019-10-09T15:38:37Z

I see the comments about DLC I don't get them.

Maybe I need to have a DLC on DLCs understanding.

Or to have a DLC on understanding DLCs on DLCs understanding.

I'm close to it though. Just one more... step!

Island of the Coconut Spirit by candlesan 2019-10-11T12:42:59Z

That's a funny game. The music gets a bit repetitive though ^^"

Nothing Engine by freakoftheyear 2019-10-14T17:39:24Z

This needs a lot more tornadoes!

N0THING.exe by PSiv 2019-10-11T12:18:46Z

Nice! I'm not a good puzzle player but I liked this game.

But I think I found a bug : when closing the installer and opening it it alorws to reinstall programs that were already installed.

Roll a Ball Genesis by jsloth 2019-10-09T16:01:13Z

That was nice, but having to type help so much time was quickly annoying ><

But the concept was great!

Noctisa by Hellper 2019-10-09T11:47:36Z

Thank you a lot for your feedback! I probably will do a post-ld game to imporve the game ^^

Noctisa by Hellper 2019-10-12T06:39:23Z

@inferture Yeah I think it would be better to "randomise" the choices so you don't end up spamming only one button x) But the fact that, due to the problems I encountered I could only start coding 7 hours before the deadline so I made the system as simple as possible to be sure I could finish it on time x)

Meowlediction by Inferture 2019-10-11T11:05:15Z

Nice art. I feel like they've been made with the use of a lot of filters but they look good! Too bad the story's very short D:

Thanks for the game!

Soundscapes by Kaish 2019-10-15T15:26:23Z

The concept is cool, but I'm not sure if it fits well with the idea of "Nothing" on screen. I think I would have enjoyed it more with some art to explore ^^

Anyway, thanks for this experience!

From ZERO to HERO by Salamander 2019-10-09T16:38:37Z

That was really easy, as said before. I think it needs a bit of work on ergonomics to be nicer to play. But with that and the balancing fixed it could be a more pleasant game I guess ^^

VoidTech by loganthemanster 2019-10-09T11:44:27Z

Nice game ! I liked the atmosphere. Here are some elements suggestion and bugs :

- The player hitbox could be smaller. - You can read the newspaper when looking in any direction as long as your are in front of it. - The fact that things are forbidden for use with the message "I don't have time for that" get a bit disappointing with time.

Thanks for the game :)

Joe Mama by TobyChadderton 2019-10-08T17:28:42Z

I can't play your game D: When I run the exe, I have 4 windows that open one after another with an error message and then the game closes.

AGameWhereTheGameStartsWithNothing by Nick Parry 2019-10-11T12:05:05Z

The concept is nice but the physics are really weird I think. I didn't play through the whole game due to that :'(

Story Of Nothing by Milta 2019-10-11T10:53:32Z

I can't play D: It apprently needs VCRUNTIME140_1.dll :'(

Monolith by Kalucifer 2019-10-13T06:41:38Z

Nice assets, but the gameplay and the répétitive fake crashes are to be improved I think. First the sword hitbox should be bigger since I feel like it can't redirect the arrows on some angles (and it's frustrating not to really see where it works). Also le camera has probably been monted on a wet soap (:p) seeing how it moves.

For the fake crashes I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to redirect on the title screen instead. That way we don't have to see the splash screen each time.

To conclude I think this game is like getting served a wondefull plate... that falls on the floor, through a hole in the ground, inside a transdimensionnal portal then a wormhole ans somehow still gets right on your table. That's an experience.

Jokes appart, I've added you game in my itch collection. So thanks for the game!

Creation - a weird story of how nothing can become something by dqmhose 2019-10-14T15:22:17Z

That was pleasant. I'm wondering if it could be better with more situation and arts to represent the evolution because it was a bit repetitive ^^"

Quest for the Good Time Adventure by Thomas Sylvester 2019-10-09T16:52:58Z

Well... that was suprising to see assets from rpg maker into a unity game :D But I didn't enjoyed the game a lot as I felt like I was only going to kill monsters and sell loot in an endless loop. So after some time I finally gave up playing D:
