Awesome use of the theme! Love the intro too xD

softground 2021-04-27 00:14

I really liked how you used an office theme!

anniv4x 2021-04-27 00:17

This was a really clever idea, and the gameplay was enjoyable too! I think the instructions feel a little a unclear because it does, as a new player, feel a little overwhelming at first. I think that if there was a way to implement learning the mechanics with the game through progression it'd probably flow together more. This is really cool though, and the graphics match perfectly!!!

llaumegui 2021-04-27 00:18

Very fun take on the theme, it was a nice experience even though i think that the editor is quite complicated to use

imdigitaljim 2021-04-27 00:20

Funny concept! Good instructions on the page, I would have been lost without it :P

nuggetmchotdog 2021-04-27 00:21

Love the intro and concept! In the beginning I was a bit confused as to what I should be doing, I think that could have been conveyed to the player a bit better.

cslupius 2021-04-27 00:24

Thank you all for your comments about confusing gameplay, @nuggetmchotdog @imdigitaljim @llaumegui @anniv4x well as you know jams are a bit time consuming :D maybe next jam we will try our best at that subject

mizatorian 2021-04-27 00:26

Nice use of the theme with the graph. The music was funky as well.

nate-wec 2021-04-27 00:32

A really fun game! It was fairly easy throughout (Which considering it's a Jam game is fair enough) But the final level felt difficult and fair still. All throughout I was hoping more gimmicks or mechanics would be thrown at me or the main mechanic could be explored more, more levels where changing one part alters everything else so instead of moving everything all the way to the left, right, top or bottom more balence would be needed (Though the final level did this).

The editing graph mechanic took awhile for me to get used to and caused some frustrations as I kept pressing spacebar to edit the graph rather than E.

Overall, Office/10

evil-villain-games 2021-04-27 00:34

Liked the sound effects, especially for the chat! I love the concept, though the controls were a bit hard to get used to. Overall well done!

sambean 2021-04-27 00:43

The office theme was a great take on the theme. The humor was also great. I actually laughed out loud. The music and sounds were good. The game play was fun. I could see me playing finance.exe as a quick, mobile puzzle game.

millingmadly 2021-04-27 00:45

I liked the sound and graphic design a lot! The game controls are a little difficult to get a grasp of, but it definitely stands out as different and innovative. Also, "okay, boss" is a great meme. Nice game :)

dane-tesla 2021-04-27 12:07

Really cool! It was really original, I love when game themes are not taken literally but rather explored a little. One of the more unique ones I played so far!

jonathan-turner 2021-04-28 14:55

Thanks for participating in the jam!

Was a really fun concept. When it first started I went oh no this is going to be a weird 3d office simulator thing, but really enjoyed the 2d platformer on the graph and being able to solve the jumping puzzles by manipulating the board.

I do agree that the controls were hard at first but figured it out.

Fun times.

My favorite part was the chat notification message from your boss, good stuff.

3rksum 2021-04-28 15:10

I've played a lot of entries, but so far this is my favorite. The platform/puzzler gameplay. The music, and message alert sound. The humor with your boss. All very well done!!

wormholegames 2021-04-29 12:47

Funny game! And also very original!

ninjacatz 2021-04-29 12:56

A very good idea. But to be honest, I could not get through to the end, because it is very annoying to constantly move the character after falling. Overall a good game.

pdotjpg 2021-04-29 14:40

Really nice gameplay concept, good job! Dragged on a bit too long and the controls made editing the graph a bit slow and tedious, but I definitely think this idea has a lot of potential. It's a cool take on the theme as well, and I liked the Windows 95 interludes :) Very groovy music as well! Honestly, probably one of my favourite games of the jam.

grimsbaldruk 2021-04-29 16:41

The main idea is gold ! Controls are hard to figured out at first but finally it works. The global mood is here, coherent and really original among the many games of the jam. Maybe a lil bit too repetitive. Awesome overall work, with a cinematic, really, well done !

metalfox-dioxymore 2021-04-29 16:45

Woooooooooooow how did you get such an idea ? That was so original ! The game was a bit easy, but I loved the concept ! The first level was a bit hard to understand, but then... I had a blast ! The boss messages were hilarious, a really good addition, and that 3D intro was really cool =) !

Congrats !

james-7777 2021-04-29 16:45

Really like the unique gameplay design, and the music was top notch! Although I found the graph editing a bit confusing at first and quite clunky. Great job!

alberto-cabrera 2021-04-29 17:08

Okey, Boss!

gyemelmor 2021-04-29 17:09

Okey, Boss!

tentaclemax 2021-04-29 17:12

Damn! I can't beat last level! Can you help me? I'm really interested what boss gonna say next! (it's not a game, it's my life!)

Oh, music and sounds are great!

omer1615 2021-04-29 18:07

@alberto-cabrera @gyemelmor Okay, Boss!

sanemsky 2021-04-29 18:07

@ninjacatz, @pdotjpg, @james-7777 thank you for playing and the valuable feedbacks. Initially we wanted the charecter to be able to just push around the graph controls but couldn't accomplish it in the end. Unfortunately it is a bit frustrating and non intuitive, you are so right about that.

sanemsky 2021-04-29 18:25

@tentaclemax try matching the incline on the second part (using both left and down sections), it should look pretty straight ;)

omer1615 2021-04-29 19:23

@tentaclemax here is a walkthrough for all of the game.

"Unexpected decline of Stocks" _**DOUBT**_

Fun concept, I loved the music during the finance game. It was a little repetitive but i didn't stop me from going on. I wanted to Okay this boss till the end. And what a satisfying ending 😈

tarcisiotm 2021-04-29 23:49

What a great entry! Congrats on making this. I appreciate how experimental this entry was. Great job!

omer1615 2021-04-29 23:55

Okay, Boss!

kuviman 2021-04-30 13:32

Bling bling

omer1615 2021-04-30 13:32

@togis @kuviman Okay, Boss!

strangeryann 2021-04-30 16:20

It's neat but I feel like it's way too ambitions the nod to office space and that kind of vibe in the intro is nice I found the level editor cumbersome to manipulate the concept of a 2d sidescroller where u have to edit the level to be able to pass it is really cool - don't get me wrong - i just feel that doesn't shine through here unfortunately

same with the little chat with your boss - it's a nice addition and it settles the game as being humorous and all but I feel maybe just focusing on the platformer + editor might have been time better spent I'd be curious about the development process and what sort of 72h yall spent that got you here :)

Great concept nonetheless, thanks for sharing yall :)

omer1615 2021-04-30 17:13

@strangeryann We spent the first half of the first day finding ideas. I spent the rest of the day building player controls and simple UIs while our other programmer was busy programming the graphical drawing. On the second day, while waiting for the graphic drawing algorithm to be finished, I switched to adding character animations, since we were a little behind at this stage, we did not have the chance to do the graphic editing exactly as we imagined since I didn't want to draw a test map because it will be a rework. On last day, we have full time jobs as a whole team seperate places. However, the last edits and bugfixes could be made a few hours before the deadline. So thats why the graphic editing didn't get the love i deserve. We originally had so much better ideas for that part but it didn't made it to final game.

mateusboga 2021-04-30 17:32

Such a funny game, I liked it a lot! :) Thanks for submitting! Here's the VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1006074748

poweranze 2021-04-30 21:52

What a great and unique idea. I haven't seen anything like this before, but at the time I feel like there is nothing to expand on in this idea. You can only do so much to manipulate a line and I think you exhausted the idea. While the puzzle plattforming gets too easy pretty quickly you did a great job breaking it up with the little dialogue bits. Very cool entry.

andreia 2021-05-01 04:44

This is such a cool take on the theme! I found the editing graph mechanic super interesting and fresh. The chat with the boss was super funny too. Great work!

meritcoding 2021-05-02 18:12

Feedback - Too many levels - The sounds started to be annoying

omer1615 2021-05-03 16:14

@meritcoding Okay, Boss!

etrealjunior 2021-05-04 02:23

Congratulations on the game, I love voxel art, the idea is very good but I missed challenges, which often made it a little repetitive, maybe a suggestion to have a movement limit and a regressive time to complete the challenge, some more activities to reverse activities can be interesting, I hope I helped a big hug, and I await your evaluations regarding my game.

giovanini 2021-05-16 01:25

I loved the sounds that you made to simulate the mouse click and the boss! Very charming!
