I like the funky rocket controls. I also like how you have a score thing at the end. The camera was a bit to shaky for my taste though.

I like the funky rocket controls. I also like how you have a score thing at the end. The camera was a bit to shaky for my taste though.
I really like the art style and the movement feels really really smooth, but I couldn't figure out how to shoot? I tried space, tried all the face buttons on a ps4 controller. Maybe I'm just missing something obvious?
Short but very fun! It was very satisfying defeating all the little cloaked guys. I like the decisions to make the projectile pierce enemies. The time mechanic threw an interesting twist in. Difficulty felt just right. Very well done!
This game is great! It was very satisfying to beat it. I like all the restrictions placed on it to give it difficulty and it teaches you though losing which I appreciate.
If I could change one thing I would make it so you absorbed water automatically every time you moved your root, this is mostly because I didn't find any situation where you wouldn't want to absorb water.
The beginning was kinda funny if you like dark humor.I got pretty bored with the walking speed considering how far I had to drag the body. My biggest gripe is the inverted first person camera. I found it genuinely hard to control.
On the bright side physics are always fun. I thought grabbing the body was pretty funny and dragging it had a certain physical charm. I also thought it worked pretty well with the theme!
Visuals look amazing. I played solo, and I think that this might be a lot more fun co-op, but overall it felt too easy I think?
I liked the boss at the end but after -1300 meters the boss kept climbing downward next to me not attacking. I waited in the center of the screen collecting more and more health until it hit -2400m and at this point nothing had changed so I stopped playing.
I can't help but feel like I was missing something, maybe a second player would have helped.
I also thought the overall theme and mood were on point! Loved the feeling of going deeper and deeper!
A neat little side scrolling shooter. It was easy to pick up.
Liked the sound effects, especially for the chat! I love the concept, though the controls were a bit hard to get used to. Overall well done!
Wow! This is impressive. It really felt like a full experience, great VFX,Models,Sound,Dialogue. I really like the voxel art in general. It felt very tron like and I think the lines were a great way to direct the player. Combat was fun!
It took me a bit to pickup but the the tutorial was really well crafted especially for a game jam. Very cool game. I was surprised at how innovative the concept was.
Very awesome. Love the graphics, love the feel of the game. I really have no gripes with this. Very satisfying
Wow this game was excellent! Tons of fun. Upgrades to buy, multiple enemy types, and a boss! It looks great visually too and I'm a big fan of the explosion effect. I was really sold on the underwater feeling by the sound and the graphics.
I did notice a bug with the shop menu which is opened with the ( I ) key. If you hit escape to exit the shop it unpauses the game, but leaves the shop open and things get a bit funky. I also think it might have been a bit easy and maybe a bit long, But overall I loved it. One of my favorites so far! If i had to change it at all I would make it shorter but harder. Although I must say the meter rolling over to 9999 was a great touch that was what kept me going.
This was pretty neat. I also am a big fan of the leader board. Meta tip scroll the cannon tilt all the way down. I love the low poly art style and water it's really neat.
Wow I really love what you did with the theme. The glowing fish and everything slowly getting darker was an awesome effect. The leader board was a great touch too.
Wow. This is the most fun I've had with a game in a little while. Let alone a Ludum Dare game. Everything was awesome, graphics, theme, audio. Even the menus looked great.
My only gripe is that I got to the bottom after buying only 2 upgrades. I think this is mostly because I didn't see the exits on the side of the map until I got to the bottom. Anyway I would love to see this game with more levels. Excellent work.
Also I would love to know more about the process you go through to make something of this quality so fast.
This is a neat little OS sim. Definitely feels like I'm using an old OS, Very immersive. It was fun getting little messages from the email client too hahaa. Nice work!
The art is great! Love the animations. The general tone of being underwater in a cartoon was really well accomplished.
I got to the bottom and when I did there were tons of green fish following me, which was very funny.
I think a meter for how deep you have gone would be cool.
Wow this was pretty addicting. The end really surprised me, and I thought it was a clever way to end the game mechanically. Very well made.
Really good job in making this an intuitive experience. I automatically moved the fryers and just had fun poking around. The one thing I had to back out and figure out was the receipt having to go with the food order. Very immersive overall.
Wow! I'm thoroughly impressed. I really love your art style here. The game play was a solid mix of lite puzzles and quality combat. Also I liked the ending!
Be sure to rate more games it would be a shame if you didn't receive 20 ratings. Fantastic work!
Man... these characters are mean to you but its cool cos that theme song is BUMPIN! Really fun dialogue
Loved that you have a boss! There is very little waste in this product, good job
A very good addictive loop!
I admire your level of ambition for this and I think for how complex it is it was pretty successful. I got killed pretty fast but I can see the depth and I like the game. Upgrading a team is an exciting prospect. I like how you have to weigh getting more resources against potentially running into enemies.
Same issue here I couldn't find an EXE on windows :/
This is a neat Idea. I could see this really coming to life with a significant difficulty increase and upgrades of some kind.
Things I would change if you had more time.
----Move time left to a more important screen position like top center or top bottom and make it bigger. or bold or something ----When you pickup water,or other minerals add a text popup that says +x Seconds ----Add a particle effect each time you damage another block, or each second you are mining in a direction
Thanks for uploading the windows version!
The art style is awesome! I had fun playing. There is a nice sense of momentum, I couldn't help but feel like the bounding boxes on the dirt were a little big for the particle effect that represented them.
Pretty neat to see a physics oriented game like this. It was pretty funny too as physics games tend to be. I also appreciated the extra layers of depth. A change in scenery is a nice reward for getting deeper. Also the high score meter was a nice touch!
Good job on the presentation! I played till I was quite wealthy but I wasn't sure how much health I had before I died.
Very neat as a physics simulation, but I found it a bit unbalanced as a game. It seems like the best way to get to the end is to avoid the entire solar system, all the fuel, and just go straight there. I think making the solar system more dense, reducing the gravitation pull and giving you less max fuel but a more powerful rocket would solve this issue.
Also as a side note I had no idea what the victory area was on the map until I looked at screenshots of the ending of the game. A little animation of it pulsing or something might back that more clear.
I like the way you implemented the gravitational pull UI for the planets and your current speed. That was really smart.
Wow I really didn't expect this. Very innovative. I tried to kind of break it by writing words that rhyme without sentences. It didn't really work which I was impressed by. I started by taking one of her words like Daring for example and just putting it in the sentence.
Daring more like. Caring.
What I found interesting is the next time she talked she used the word Caring.
Then I put in.
Caring more like. Daring.
and this time it failed instead of succeeding.
Then I decided to just put an f in over and over. I quickly noticed this was still yielding wins at about a 1/3 ratio. Just to make sure it wasn't some word processing that had to do with the letter I tried again with a period. Same results.
I realized the comment above mine is also true. If you type her exact sentence in you always win. That is the only method I've found to win 100% of the time. But I didn't find something that fails 100% of the time.
Even things like $$$ or 43215823457 or $234$$# Seemed to succeed in some situations.
Very curious what the logic behind this is. It feels like it's just random to be honest, but the thing with her own sentence always working makes me wonder.
Love it. very fun to go get gold and upgrade. Pretty extensive level to explore too.
I think it could benefit from some texture in the water to give you some perspective on which direction you are going. also it would be cool if you didn't use fuel when you were on the surface of the water.
Overall I really like it!
I fumbled with the controls for a bit. The keyboard movement but clicking with the mouse to confirm everything threw me off a bit. Maybe there was a confirm button on the keyboard, but I didn't find it.
Overall this being made in such a short time is very impressive. Love the music. It really is making me want to fall asleep right now haahah. Very relaxing. Feels good to play something chill after the jam. Art is great!
This game seems really cool, but I was having a lot of trouble getting the drilling to start when I pressed space. I ended up mashing it and sometimes it would trigger after the 7th or 8th press. I think maybe I'm missing something, but if it's supposed to trigger when you press space then this is a bug that you could totally fix even if the dev time is up. The rules say your aloud and your game is pretty awesome so I would if you have time. I'd love to play more but I'm having a lot of trouble digging.
That said I love the way the little coins go in that bag. It reminds me of kingdom two crowns but you even expanded on the concept by having physics applied to them while they are in the bag. That's a delightful touch. The core game play is also really cool.
Nice work!
@risk4bisk Absolutely! I think it would make a big difference for your rating, even though I ignored the bug for my rating and I'd personally really love to play it more with that quick input fix added. Here is a reference to that line of the rules. I'd say you are aloud to fix it if you like.
"Certain Bug Fixes are allowed. You can’t add new features, but if something broke or didn’t work correctly as you were finishing up, you can fix this after the deadline. You are asked to highlight the changes you make in your submission (a short change log). You probably wont get a 2nd chance with some players, but at least it wont be a problem for future players."
@risk4bisk This is my first Jam as well. Seems like a great community! :) glad I could help!
I loved this game! I appreciated the thought put into the background story, as well as the theme behind it. I really loved playing this, and was actually upset that there wasn't more! Great job!
This was fun! I liked how hard it was. I was able to get to 29 on hard. Also I'm a fan of the simplistic style. The high score was a necessary touch it pulled me back in several times.
This is a really neat idea. I can imagine someone spending a lot of time finding the ideal path (speed running) this game. Even though I tend to not like games in this genre. I thought the art was cohesive, the audio was solid, and the world building was thorough. Overall pretty cool stuff.
Constructive criticism, some of the pixel art didn't quite read the object for me, but I eventually figured it out.
Great game play. I love the main character design too! The section with the moving platforms where you needed to switch very quickly to jump through holes was amazing. It really made me sweat and I liked that.
Incredible work for a first game or even if it wasn't your first game and for a game jam no less! Well done pat yourself on the back!
Clever concept and a good memory exercise. I liked how I could get a glance of the solution before entering the deeper maze.

@str8griz Thank you! mmm yeah I think we could have benefited from implementing a mechanic where the last note you shoot turns into ammo you can pickup when it breaks. Maybe well add this after the jam.
@dancan @bufalloo Thank you! We put a lot of work into the Theme, Visuals, and Mood!
@smeljey @matterlinx Thank you! Yeah, now I'm wishing we had the lowest light level be a bit brighter and also I think a gamma setting option at the beginning to adjust for screen brightness might have helped some. This could be a good change for us after the jam.
@wintergatn Good point! I'd like to see a version where the notes you shoot keep bouncing forever until they hit an enemy.
@ambear Thank you very much for playing! While we did edit some of the sounds and had fun figuring out ways to implement them. We didn't create any of the original sounds or music, so we can't take credit for them. But I'm very happy you enjoyed them and I hope it helped with the mood!
@ironfred Thank you! It's helpful to know the tutorial worked! :D
@daaweed Awesome! Happy you hear you had fun! Thank YOU for playing! :D
@radowicht Awesome! Thank you for sticking it out to the boss! A major worry for us was that people would put it down before the boss.
@gamesbysaul :D thank you!
@draconimous @spaghetti-inc Thank you! Yes music is a powerful weapon >:|
@mega-marlon I'm glad you felt that way. We were aiming for a slower bullet hell. Almost like a bow and arrow feel.
@marc-jones Yeah I think you are right honestly I wanted to add a special mechanic for when you ran out light but we kinda ran out of time. I think it would be nice to expand things in a post jam version.
@evileptic Glad to hear its thank you so much :D
@risk4bisk wow no damage all the way to level 3. That IS impressive! Also holy shit. The person I created this with suggested making a story about Orpheus when we started and we ended up twisting it a bit. But I'm really glad it shined through.
@runtrg That's unfortunate I knew the web player would be a bit problematic for some. We will try and release a downloadable version at some point as well. Thanks so much for playing!
@g11 XD
@carpaccino Thank you!
@legolula Yeah the health as ammo thing seems to be a polarizing issue. I think if we could have done more with it that might have helped. Thanks!
@bqq Thank you! We really wanted to make precision/sniping important.
@guardaro Thank you! Very happy that you enjoyed it!
@vitor-milioni Wow thank you so much! Making the boss fight was a lot of fun. I think I'll have to do more work like that in the future.
Wow that was amazing. Seriously 5 out of 5. This might be my favorite entry so far. I'm glad you are putting it on steam. I would love to see this become a full game.
I had fun playing! I think the first level was a little long, I was about to quit thinking there was only one level and then I beat it as I was about to close the game. I liked the difficulty increase of the second level.
The health bar was clear, the idea of being the sun collecting gases was clear, I'm not sure I know what the squiggles were, but it was easy to figure out how to play, and it was fun to play. I think a meter for how long the level was would have gone a long way to keep me interested.
Over all it was successful and pretty fun! Nice work!
I love the name. I love the bold decision to have the start button be only one key on the keyboard just to make you search for it. Very brave for the sake of humor. This game is the funniest game I've played so far!
I think adding a number that goes up the further you drive would add a lot to the experience.
I love this concept of gravity pulling your movement and the introduction to it was done in a fun visual way. I think I ended up exiting the map after playing a while however and I encountered a lot of flashing lights.
Wow very awesome! This is such a beautiful concept. I would also love to know how this shader works.
I felt bad not giving people 5 stars before, but your game definitely deserves all 5. Great gameplay, audio, graphics, everything was amazing. I especially loved the octopus facts, although the last one was kinda sad :( Amazing job!!! Best game I have seen yet!
This has great presentation and really makes you feel like you need to use intuition to tell what arrow keys to press next. I really liked the audio and graphics especially the front cover.
I second that a score meter would have been nice to see if I was doing better or worse each time.
