98%, damn you, you filthy / shiny one sock I missed! That was on my second try, on the first one I got all covered in dirt...
The game plays quite well, but there are a few issues that can probably be fixed easily. First, the player collider seems a bit big, I got hit by dirt when I was sure I dodged it. Maybe make two colliders, a smaller one for the dirt, and the currently used one for the laundry, so it is a bit forgiving. Eventually the cause of this first problem is connected to the second one, and that has to do with rotation and the movement axes. When the tube twists and turns, the movement to the left and right seems to get adjusted to the rotation of the tube, which is really confusing. It seems like the player is moved on a global axis when it should be moved locally.
Apart from that though, it was really fun and just the right amount of challenging to navigate through. The art is also great and quite polished (love the title screen!). Some audio, even just a little bubbly atmo and some collision sounds, would've elevated the mood a lot, but it's already really good in this current state. I especially love the opening sequence of diving into the machine.
So, overall, a really enjoyable game already, with some nice space for further improvements. Well done! And thanks again for your input and feedback for my game! <3

@erkberg Thanks for playing! Yes the controls get a bit wonky when the tunnel strays too much from forward movement, since the Player is placed and moved on an absolute position. I should take a look at that later. Having two different colliders for collectibles and hazards is also a good point - overall I want to make the game a little more forgiving and add a bit of variety to the laundry graphics. Oh and sound as well. You might even say there's quiete a laundry list of thing to do and polish :smirk:

man what a cool art style, I'm a sucker for monochrome! I would have rather the speed up/down be toggle-able (instead of needing to hold the buttons down), but that's probably just because I was using my laptop. Also I agree some sound effects and music would really go a long way. Great job!
Really cool game and the artstyle is really cool! I just thought the dirt clouds blend in too much with each other, so there are cases where smaller particles close to the player are not discernible because of a larger cloud of dust behind them. The dirt also blends a little too much with the darker background, it would be nice to have some more contrast for those obstacle.
The art style is awesome! I had fun playing. There is a nice sense of momentum, I couldn't help but feel like the bounding boxes on the dirt were a little big for the particle effect that represented them.

>you have to collect laundry >its all socks
perfect. Also I was surprised, that there actually is an ending. Pretty funny one too. Good game!
Best idea I've seen so far, very lovely. The game is nice, although at some point it feel a bit too long, and I never thought I had to slow down, so increased difficulty or natural speed could help maybe. Some music would have helped a lot in the game as well(although there's no sound in space, I give you that). The particles effect when you crash against the dirt is really well done, just a shame that it's a bad thing in the game. Well done!
Really nice graphics but could use some changes in the color pallete, when the enemy is black and your vision obscure is black as well you can't distuingish what is what which make it worse because you are moving in grayscale coloured tube

92%! I had fun playing, and tried a few times until I managed to hit the moon with 92%. The game would benefit a lot from some sounds, to create a more interesting atmosphere. I thought the idea was very original and for several moments I was wondering how it was done, congratulations!

Cool game, the controls were a bit weird for me as the directions are oriented statically and not towards where you look. But apart from that, a solid jam entry. Keep making games!

@albertnez Thank you so much for your feedback! I definitely want to improve the the structure of the game to give a better sense of progress, like an easy start and ramping up the difficulty in the end, to keep things interesting. Slowing down is mostly some kind of an emergency brake if things get too overwhelming. Indeed just speeding through the tunnel and smashing into the dirt is actually the most fun, maybe I should have made a racing game instead :D

@caiojmini Thank you for your feedback! You're right, the dirt is quite unforgiving and the lack of contrast makes things quite difficult to distinguish. Maybe I can come up with a solution to enhance visibility.

@octopussy Yep, the lack of contrast makes it hard to distinguish the dirt particles, I'll look into this. Thanks for playing!
Cool idea, and well implemented. I did ok but in all cases eventually got to dirty and lost. Some ideas for possible improvements. - I found it hard to spot the dirt against the grey background and hence might be nice if it was easier to distinguish the dirt. - There were times where I thought I'd easily avoided the dirt but got hit anyway, hence I wonder if the collision detection is a little off at times.
Overall though really nice graphics, and an interesting take on the theme. Awesome job considering the time allowed.

@nuclearredeye Thanks for playing! The two issues you mention I should definitely adress and make the game a little more forgiving :)
Now we know where all the lost socks are! Interesting idea, although I found the moving kinda hard (maybe it's just me?).

Took me a while, but as promised, your game is now my desktop background! The ridiculous premise is just too good.

Really liked the modeling, and the bubbles are very fitting atmospherically. Reminds me of those old on-rails space battle games.
I want my Rare:tm:-brand golden sock!
Some considerations:
- The controls seem a bit suspicious, as they are not always relative to the camera's orientation, sometimes moving in a straight line moved me diagonally. The camera also appears to not follow the bends on the tube, which is mildly confusing to have to compensate for; - Agree with the visibility considerations the others mentioned, a couple times I got splatted without even noticing; - Maybe it would be cool to have some measure of progression, I think on stream I even asked if it was endless? Either a simple bar, or maybe progressive changes in the environment, would be interesting.
Maybe it would have been interesting for the controls to be "move forward", and you turn with the mouse? I'm not sure, but at least then you wouldn't have to code the automatic camera turning.

@sandra-jasionowska Thanks for playing! Yes the controls are a bit wonky, I will try to tweak them a little to make them more intuitive.

Hi @kroltan yes I re-watched part of your stream and saw you setting up the background, very much appreciated! Glad you like the premise :) As for your feedback: - Yep, the controls are wonky because the WASD movement is absolute, while the player moves on the tunnel's spline. This becomes a problem when the tunnel strays too much from the forward direction. I'll fix that and try to find a solution for the camera rotation. - The dirt is very unforgiving at the moment, I'll tweak the contrast, colliders and will make the collected dirt on the screen disappear after a while. - Sense of progress is also very high on my list, right now the elements are just randomly distributed, I want to introduce different stages with ramping up difficulty and introducing new elements.
Thanks again for playing!

@ulisses 92% is pretty good! Thanks for your positive feedback and yes, some atmospheric audio is definitely on my todo list. How it's done is actually quite simple: I used an external path creator tool (link in description) and created a spline which is the basis for the generated tunnel geometry; the player is moved along the spline and gets offset from the spline via WASD.
[Thank you for the submitting the game to the stream. If you want to rewatch the feedback, you can do so here.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1008357028?t=04h01m31s)

I made it (on my second try)! My score: 66%. Controls were hard to understand at first, and my brain just didn't get that the mouse was not controlling my direction at all - seems like maybe the entire game could have just been steering with the mouse, with no keyboard controls, and it woulda been a little more intuitive. Not bad after I got the hang of it though, and I enjoyed my slide to the moon.
It's like those tube sections of Spyro 3, but as it's own game. Nice work! I like how the collectibles are socks, ha!

Nice entry! Two minor things: The collision with dirt sometimes felt unfair, maybe the hitbox is a bit too big? Also the dirt can be quite hard to see, even if you didn't get any hits. The white rings help there but maybe you can make it a bit more accessible  Was a fun game!
