The graphics and animations are good, and it is quite atmospheric. The idea of shooting at the cost of your health and surrounding light was well done, but the player notes are too slow. I would just go through the maze without shooting and that wasn't too much fun.
The game is quite fun, but it could use some more enemy variety and more options to destroy them. If you focus on the falling aspect more, giving movement options like falling faster or enemies that attack in different angles for example, I think it could become a very fun game!
Good job on your first entry for ludumdare!
I loved it! Couldn't stop playing it until I finished all the levels, and even came up with some speedrunning strats. I think this game could gain a lot by focusing on the level design and other gimmicks. The art and audio are really charming, and also the cat of course.
