Man the art looks great. Sadly couldn't get it work with Wine on Linux as the first dialogue freezes the game.
Is there a chance for a Linux specific build later? :)

I'll build a Linux version now... But I have no platform to test it, so maybe there'll be some bugs. Just wait a while!
This game is really really cool! The cute art and innocence of the main character really contrasts the dark contents of the game really well! This is really impressive for a game jam!
+ nice pixel style + fluent and releaed dialogue + deep story and colorful branched - Insufficient teaching tips NICE JOB!The game deserves to accomplish,GKD!
I just found out that I somehow can't buid a Linus version... Working on web version now. Itch.io is not very handy in my area \:(
I really like the story, very moody! Graphics are pretty decent too. However, I ran into a bug. After getting one of the endings and restarting the game, I got stuck at the detective screen :( Also, I do wish the game had some sound too. Either way, a pretty decent submission :)
@snesgaard Update:web version is now available on itch.io! Check out the link in this page!
@vectrex28 It seems that I failed to reset some triggers when restart in game... I barely have time to fix it in time so just restart the game maybe. There is no audio-related role in our team and we have no enough time to make some audio work while not breaking the game's balance, sorry for that :) Thanks for your comment!
@Bungalow Thanks for your comment! Your game is also amazing!!!
I like how the black and white graphics add to the mood. Neat idea for game mechanics. Sound would be a great addition. Great work, thanks for submitting it!
@john-harper We will definately add more sound and music into it if we will make a fully-developed version! Thank you for your comment and advise!
Very nice movement and presentation - I think you and your friends have created something really charming with fluidity, engagement, and passion! All of those elements work super well together and, even though it's a demo, has come out really polished! Massive congrats on what you've produced here - it's very inspiring! :D
@icoso Thank you!!! It is also a great inspiration to us that you guys love our game!
@lighty-the-light Thanks for the web build. Glad I got to play it, really great and spookly atmosphere!
@snesgaard Thanks for your advise and playing!
I love the black and white art it fits well the mood of the game. Maybe a lack of sound design, but it's a really good entry ! (The web player worked fine for me :) )
I think it is amazing to see what you managed to pull up in such a short amount of time! The story is really good, the graphics are simple, nevertheless great. The only small thing I didn't really like is the lack of music. (But I totally understand if you didn't have time for that!) Also, I encountered this weir Bug (?) where after talking to the boxer, I was running around below the rooms, slowly falling. Not quite sure what could have caused it, though. Nevertheless: VERY great job!
Very cool, you should definitely develop it more!
@lorwon @saintchristopher777 Thank you for your playing and review! The after-developing is under discussion now! @pd-dev Thank you for playing! I was intended to make a animation for this cut scene, in which the boxer's soul will push you and locker boxes to the corner, but I'm not very good at it and decided to use just physics system. I tested a few times and published it since I haven't encountered any bug like that :( sorry for that!
Love the look of the game, the story is quite eerie. I got the CaughtBySecurity ending. Played in full screen and it worked perfectly. I was shocked during the boxer scene and the flying lockers. Excellent work.
This was cool, I enjoyed the experience and enjoyed imagining what sounds might be in this world
I got as far as I could in the web version but I think it's a little broken on linux, I got quite a few items and explored all the rooms, and had the crazy phsyics area in my sleep (I liked that, it caught me off guard), but couldn't find anything to interact with after that. I saw the note about using the mouse in your description but I can only seem to inspect items, not use them. I like the minimalistic style but it's a little hard to see what the interaction arrow is over at times.
@raptor851 You can right click on items to interact(mostly craft new items if possible), but basically to reach caught by security ending, you don't need to craft anything... I would consider it as a bug cannot recause now. But I can't debug it under linux env, sorry for that!
NEW BUG FIX IS ON! Sorry for those bugs! Now you can evade security more easily, and reach some deeper endings!
SPOILER WARNING!!!!
*Try not to steal the syringe on the first floor before give the security anodyne?*
This is pretty decent entry. I like the style. I've found just one ending so far. :-) Feedback: Before I switched to fullscreen (in web version) I was not able to see the whole inventory (and it looked like it is empty).
The game was really good. I was really impressed how much content you put into this game. The dialog was pretty nice and I I think the graphics were pretty cute. I kinda had a problem with the syringe thing. If picking up the item makes it impossible to reach a deeper ending, you should maybe add a warning dialog like "Are you sure you wanna steal the syringe?" or maybe add the option to drop items. Besides that the game, story and mechanics were really cool and I think it really has potential to become a full game. Honestly: I would play it ;) since I like these kind of adventures. Also I am looking forward to experiencing this game with audio, since that would make it even more cool. I also found a funny bug btw: I think I stood to close to the boxer in the dream sequence and he literally punched me out of the world. This resulted in me also waking up outside of the worldDEEP_Bug.PNG To sum it up, really cool game with a lot of potential!
@drskort This was on my list, but after I finished part of my dialog parser, I have to give it up so that we can have enough time to get the main thread of story onto the game, I'm now thinking maybe not let the syringe affect how the security react to anodyne...
@sageware @isthatyounoah @8bitcharlie Thanks for playing! It would take a long time finishing the dialog parser to make the whole working process easier and less buggy if we were going to develop the game to its full content
When I pick up an item and press space to pass the item description, it starts the search again which was annoying. Nice graphics and mood.
Can tell you put a lot of work into this -really like the art style and very interesting!! Awesome work! :D
really nice artstyle, also experienced the boxer bug, but great game nontheless!
also, i think the game should have smaller dialogue boxes, they covered like 70% of the screen.
@thebmxeur Thanks for playing! Will fix that after we remake our dialog parser!
@chase-of-bass Thank you! :DDDDDD
@adamphoebe The boxer bug is caused by discrete physics simulation, will fix that later using Animation! And thank you for your playing and advise! We will adjust the dialog boxes to make it fit the content automatically.
I had a tremendous time exploring this black and white asylum / dark hospital of yours. I really enjoyed uncovering all this dark lore by reading the description of "everyday" items. The detective room making sense after your first playthrough was also a blast.
Strengths : - Great lore and character development - Repeated playthrough and creative ending
Possible improvements : - A little music/sound effects goes a long way
Fantastic entry !
Super interesting so far! Love the visual style, I think once it has music it'll be amazing to finish off the moodiness. I got a game-breaking bug I think when "Boxer" kicked me out of the world, it seemed really interesting suddenly things started moving with physics and lockers falling over, it really surprised me and seemed really cool.
This is really impressive! Even without audio, the graphics create a very immersive atmosphere, and the little details in the story make it captivating to play! (But a bit of atmospheric sound would still improve this a ton!)
UI-wise, I would have liked a less obtrusive inventory that doesn't have to be activated, and a font that matches the pixelated art style better. Also, at one point I got stuck in a dialog and couldn't continue (none of the keys worked), so I had to restart the game.
Otherwise, amazing entry, I loved playing it! Congrats!
I'm a simple man: I see black-white pixels and Lovecraft, I play. I love the idea and the gameplay, as many people mentioned, some sound would be even better but it's a great entry nonetheless! I liked the lore and the creativity of the game and writing. Cool!
PS I had the same boxer issue when I spawned outside the game area and were slowly falling down (deeper and deeper, hehe).
This was a great entry, really big fan of the art, the character was cute. With some iteration and music this could be a solid game! Keep up the great work
Great job this game is amazing ! I really do like the graphics, and the storytelling is good too. The lore is cool and it set the mood really well (you realy want to escape!). Concerning audio, I think that your game don't need a music, it's better for the atmosphere without it, but adding some sound effects when you interact with objects or during "cutscenes" would be perfect. Good job !
Cool idea, has a few bugs, like if your rush the opening text it hangs, also the boxer cutscene during the first night can launch you outside the room and it hangs after that too. I got 1 of the endings.
Tried to interact with as many items as I could, which led me to a quick ending (unexpectedly). The story is interesting, feels like there is some plot twist there!
Here is my demo:

The story really hooked me once the concept of "souls" came into play! I really like the art! I feel like with just a tiny bit of atmospheric music and sound effects my experience would be greatly enhanced! Great work though!
I very like a graphic style
