The visuals are dope! Love the atmosphere and the audio. Minimal/functional screen. Definitely could use a little work on hit feedback. But great effort for a 48h game jam.

John Romero WISHES that he came up with King Kringor, the king of kringe.
Cool atmosphere, but I thought it was a bit dark, couldn't see the enemies in some areas. :)
The gun feeling isn't great. There is no feedback on whether or not I'm hitting the targets, or even if bullets are going out of the barrel. The crosshair is far to big/noticeable on the screen. It's seemed to be a crowd control shooter, where you often go backward while shooting, but the arena is filled with too much stuff making it easy to get stuck and die. The "light on the gun" only shine two meters ahead so it's hard to see enemies.
And I would like an option to disable motion blur.
Well done. Very atmospheric, nice graphics, You can shoot things.
I would really have liked to see hitmarkers of some kind for the gun--particles when the bullets collided with the walls, for example. Because I couldn't tell where my bullets were landing, it was very difficult to aim.
This is the freaking gaming. quick response and rapid reflexes !!!!!!!!
really cool game overall!
my likes: * great atmosphere; * superb audio; * great visuals in general;
what I'd want: * better feedback from shooting (bullet trails, hitmarks, recoil); * brighter flashlight; * ultra-wide monitor support. some elements not visible in main menu;
Amazing game. I can't believe it was done in 2 days). 5/5
Hi everyone, thank you for the feedback! Every piece of feedback pushes us to do better next entry! Due to popular demand I pushed an update that adds some hitmarkers to the gun. Windows build is live, and Mac build should be updated shortly. Thanks again to everyone who played and rated!
:v:
Your game looks amazing! I love the post processing affects and the colours. You set an amazing mood. Did you do the voice overs yourself? They sound super clean.
Unfortunately FPS games are not my thing and I couldn't even get past the first crawling green zombie guys (they do look amazing though)
Overall a great job given the time constraints.
I also love the quotes from famous game sites... that kind of humour is right up my alley!
Keep up the good work!!!
Thank you for the feedback @kevin-s ! Yep, our teammate @divic did all of character voices (minus the final boss) and sound design. He does great work on all of our entries! Everything in here except for a few small SFX were created during the jam! Thanks again for the review :D
I had A lot of fun. I kept wanting to try again, and get further. Very smooth controls made the game fun and fast paced. Also really liked the look and atmosphere. Great job.
Really impressive, the platform going down while playing was a cool touch, the atmosphere was also really cool at the start but made it a bit difficult to see while playing. The gun could use more recoil/feedback as well as better indications when you are being hurt, but very impressive that this was all done in only 48 hours!
Breathtaking mood! Really like the the environment and lighting, and the briefing voice is very emersive too. With a lot of details, you guys did a great job!
The gam is a solid Shooter. Need some polish in termes of visuals, especially some optimization for low-end machines. On my laptop the motion blur was killing me. Literally.
The enemy designs appear to be cool, though with the way the lighting set up, you don't really see them.
The "Game over" probably could use some more feedback that just a grunting sound effect, the screen going dark, and then game automatically restarting.
EDIT: Just realized another problem I have with this game - the enemies are small. Basically to aim at them you have to aim way below the horizon, and lowering your camera kind of gets in the way of spacial awareness.
Fun, looks dope and polished, very atmospheric. :v: :gun:
My cons: - Please lemme see something - Please lemme turn motion blur off
All in all, great job, you people nailed it!
This game is amazing! Love it very much, the audio, the graphics, the ambience, everything! Something that I'd do is probably slow the camera motion so it doesn't feel confusing, and when you shoot at the enemies, you don't have the feeling you're doing any damage until you kill them - the same goes for taking damage. Overall i really liked it and good job on making this!
The gameplay is a bit generic and there isn't much player feedback. Also not being able to see enemies is a bit frustrating. Kudos for the fun voiceovers :)
Heh, what are you talking about I'm not scared, you're scared. Be back in the morning I gotta go have nightmares now.
Anyway, those voiceover lines were great, especially Kringor's.
This definitely has like... Duke Nukem meets Doom 3 vibes, with a hint of Serious Sam, and as a fan of classic shooters I am *all* over that. I would absolutely enjoy a longer, polished up version.
The only real drawback this jam version faces is that you can't really process it very well. The darkness is a little too intensive, the audio a little glitchy, the feedback a little lacking, which combines to make it a bit hard to really grasp everything that's happening. All of that is solidly down to polish and refinement though, and I have no doubt if you do decide to keep going with it the end result will be a blast to play through.
I think it's really good for a jam game, and a great start at something more. Awesome job!
So atmospheric!
I love the visuals and the atmosphere, but the game is let down by the gun which feels under-powered and lack of feedback when shooting enemies. I was unable to understand the voice over as it blended in with the music and sound effects.
Amazing atmosphere and mood, really remind me of the game GTFO. Weapons feedback when shooting could be improved for a better experiences, and enemies are sometime difficult to spot. Otherwise, really nice job!
Really liked the atmosphere, menu, graphics and audio. It is outstanding for a jam, great work on that.
The only thing that i should say it's about the ilumination/flashlight - too dark for me, could be interesting if you increase or the flashlight luminosity or the enviroment just a little bit.
Despite that, is a amazing game! Congrats.
Mood and atmosphere are really on point stellar effort for 72 hrs
Decent game in my opinion! Would love some lights tweaking since certain enemies are hard to see in dark areas. Also the antagonist's speech is really quiet as well as sounds enemies make compared to other sounds. Loved the idea and the atmosphere tho!
Wow, that was quite something! The visuals are incredible and the mood dense as anything. The voice-overs are really atmospheric too, but a little too quiet, and some subtitles for them would've been the icing on the cake. The gameplay is fast and frantic, I like it! Some enemies are indeed impossible to see, maybe they could have some small emitting lightsource attached to them. Died to the boss, but had a blast until then! I wish I could've started again right from the boss and finish the game, but was not too inclined to play through everything else again. Overall, a really impressive and polished experience, well done!
It's so rare to stumble upon a FPS in a jam game I had to give it a shot! I loved the game atmosphere and sound ambiance, the voices you hear all along really immerse you into the gameplay. It would have been awesome to have some gun variants or more enemy types to change the pace a little. But I can't complain, it's a jam game after all  Very good job!
I liked the graphics and the atmosphere but the gameplay wasn't up to par imo. There wasn't really any feedback for hits or anything. Also, the game was a bit too dark. A flashlight of some sort would have been nice.
Aww, I love the advertisement in the beginning of the game description xD Really got me interested in the game and I wasn't disappointed! Really great shooteer, it's hard to make such a game during a jam, especially a good one but yet here we are : D I love the voice acting, it was really well done, and the character movement and atmosphere were really on point. Great theme incorporation too!
As some people mentioned, it was too dark sometimes and it was hard to spot all the enemies (especially the small shooting ones) but it wasn't such a big deal.
Very cool game! The atmosphere is incredible. I think a little visual feedback when hitting the enemy would help a lot.
The atmosphere and visuals were great, I just think there should be checkpoints for every wave. as having to start from the beginning is pretty annoying
still had a lot of fun with it!
Awesome, at first it was hard, but still cool. It will be nice to add checkpoints. Thank you a lot for your game!
Wish there was a brightness option - most of the times it's hard to see your enemies. Other than that, spectacular entry!
