great game
Fun game:)
Really great game
Fun game :)
really fun game
Nice game :)
Fun game :) . but there's only 2 levels
Really fun idea the game is fun to play to. great work :)
waaaaay to easy
i'm sorry but for some reason the link doesn't work on phones and i also noticed that the highscore system doesn't work anymore :(
I FIXED THE PROBLEM WITH THE DOWNLOAD LINK :)
i was not able to fix the highscore system do
I'm glad you liked the game. I was planning on adding more enemy types but didn't have enough time (i spent to much time fixing bugs). But thanks for your feedback.
I tried without the blocks but it really took away the feeling of standing on a CASTLE wall. But if you have an idea on how i could improve the wall without taking away the feeling of standing on a castle wall let me know ☺.
i think your right
really great game (i also did my first ludum dare entry) :)
it's pretty fun and there are quite some levels I just feel like there could have been more interesting obstacles (Moving enemies? teleportation?)
still I had a lot of fun playing the game!
I quite like the simplicity (no shading) and the walking is funny but it's way too short and small :)
It's pretty fun just not that interesting, there are many games that have done almost the exact same thing. maybe you could have made it more replayable by adding more interesting types of power ups? and maybe more types of meteors, maybe the big ones need two rockets?
simple, and well executed. it just doesn't feel very unique (I also liked the graphics)
don't know how to delete this, sorry
So good! I mean it's not very fair to compare it since this was made by 3 people (3 times my game lol) but still I've seen stuff with a bigger team and way worse games props to everyone the art is beautiful and has an awesome feel the music fits in very well (altough I heard a drinking noise at the wrong puzzle) and the game has some solid code probably not the most complex ever but it's solid. the only complaint I have is that you can't skip test phase
Awesome game!
edit: I also loved the detail that you go slower when you walk through a crowd
Ha! just clicked on your username from my comment section to see what game you made, didn't realise you were the guy (or gal idk) that made Hell Yeah! lol :D
(also I updated my game if you're interested in seeing the end)
It's very simple, maybe a bit too simple in my opinion, I would've loved some power ups (maybe in the form of satellites you need to shoot?) or something to add more variation. I do like the music though! (my game has no sound at all, my time management isn't great either...) and I thought the end text was really funny :)
THIS IS AWESOME! I love it, at first with the menu I was already like "wow this is incredibly polished" for example when you change colors it fades from white to black instead of just directly changing and how the pawns don't just move they move from one place to another, the way you have to escort the king. and then when I started it the cutscene and the particle effects and the way the pawn reloads. all of it, BEAUTIFUL! also props to you guys for making a 3D game not many of those on here (mine is also 3D).
and then last of all the best surprise of them all was when you introduced the Bishop because at first I kept getting killed but then I realised that they can only stay on one color so I moved the king to the other color and the bishop couldn't do anything!
I really don't like the graphics, but that's just because I don't really like that style. it's actually very well done, and I'll rate you accordingly (altough everything is gigantic?) I've seen this with a lot of ludum dare games but it really needs a tutorial, it's not fun to just keep getting killed without even clearly knowing what to do.
Pretty fun game it just really needs a tutorial... (oh and scale the bushes waaaaay down)
Such a cute game, I loved the graphics! and the game itself feels really polished, Love it!
Simple yet fun, just a lot of people for such a small game lol
@doodlebrisk Thanks! the physics part was kind of on purpose, just to make it even more chaotic :)
@frankie-hobbins No you just need to make sure the plant doesn't fall over and stays in the sun you can never damage it by watering it. Too bad you didn't get to the end, the plant gets angry :)
Well at least I hope you had fun!
@ryzy27 Thanks so much! I actually have a patch with some better stuff like 3 difficulty settings and the ability to switch the mouse button functions around. I wanted, and could have finished it in time but me and my family had to go somewhere so I finished it today (didn't exceed the time limit of course) but I think the easier modes will make it more.. available :)
so there's now an easy, normal, and hard mode (original)
@ryzy27 awesome I'm glad you liked it more!
@sibi I'm glad you enjoyed it. The thing with the tutorial can leave people really confused and unable to play the game. That's why I'm considering it a game breaking bug and am patching it tomorrow :)
@kent-reese finally someone who made it to the end, I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
@daniel-onstott Yes I made an update to the game (see previous comment) and forgot to change the tutorial so now it's very confusing but since it's pretty game breaking I just fixed it :)
@g-a-gamestudio Next time I'm gonna try to make it for Windows, Linux and Mac :D
@g-a-gamestudio I would if I could but the game is in 3D and too heavy to be calculated online without a download :/
@g-a-gamestudio UE4 it's 3D rendering features (for example realistic godrays) are in my opinion much more impressive than unity, unfortunately this also means the games are too heavy to play online...
@g-a-gamestudio sorry for responding so late but of course not, I'm just telling you why I chose UE4 instead of Unity.
I'm sure unity has it's strengths in my case the strengths of UE4 were just more useful for the kinds of games I make :D
@honest-dan I'll try to make it so the tutorial isn't the size of a book next time :)
I just didn't realize I had to write such a lengthy tutorial untill I started writing them (which was at the very end) so I'll try to keep that in mind from the beginning next time!
Pretty fun game just really hard to know what to do since there's no tutorial... the graphics could use an upgrade too :/
but it's a very fun idea!
Honestly if you're really 11 this is awesome(that's about the age at which I started). I love the art (altough that's maybe not you since I can't rate graphics?) and the idea of a classic 2d platformer but you can't stop moving is very interesting! I do have some tips however,
1 - a story is awesome but you don't NEED it, for me it's pretty obvious you didn't make the game with the story in mind since I can't find any robots (altough I did only get to lvl 2/3)
2 - just put the text through a spellingchecker, it's pretty hard to change the text after it's uploaded :)
3 - it's too hard, we the developers play it a thousand times while programming but the player hasn't. keep that in mind.
Overall a very fun small game!
Simple and fun, I feel like it's not really a new idea (reminds me of robbery bob 1&2)
one thing I could really appreciate was that it felt done (mostly) most games here have something which they had to sacrifice to get it done but here there's music, there's the guy that helps you there's the way the color of the lights change when they see you. it really feels finished :)
It's pretty fun just very slow, and I feel like the response is very slow, it feels kind of weird with such a slow response time. also the all art is very incoherent, one part is very blocky and the other looks drawn.
With some tweaks here and there (especially the speed) this would be a very fun game (it's already fun just even more fun!)
So cool to see another 3D game developer, we even use the same style (not completely but still)
The controls are Really awkward (I should be able to look around by moving my mouse) and the camera keeps going inside the walls. Honestly I'm very impressed with the art (so many detailed models!) but programming is clearly not your strong side.
The art is amazing but it really needs some better code :)
I love the style, music and animations it all fits together so perfectly! I also really liked the gameplay and how you could upgrade different aspects of it. Reminds me a lot of the hopeless series :)
What a beautifully polished game, the art, the music, the movement. I enjoyed every second of it! (also, finally someone who puts a tutorial IN the game)
Hey, I think you were right about windows cause I tried and moved like a snail + I couldn't open the door...
Also you should probably just remove the view bobbing all together because it was making me seasick and no one moves their head that much
so, if I did something wrong or had to press a button to unlock the door please tell me and I'll try it again and adjust my rating
@pi-pi3 so, I tried it again and this time I got a bit further... I opened the door, then another, and yet another and quickly found out that I was in a loop, this effect I quite liked! (I highered my rating accordingly)
the problem is that a bit later I managed to walk through a door without opening it and landed here:
soy-content_ltFbhJxBMT.png
and unfortunately the character moved so slow that I felt like it was too tedious to start all over again..
If the character moved faster I would have probably tried to finish the game. It's just that he moves very slow + it feels like your on ice.
Don't have vr headset myself but just wanted to say that this is the first vr game I've ever seen on LD, bravo :D
I love the art, the game is so cute and relaxing! I did find some bugs though...
1 - the rendering was often wrong
2 - His eyes sometimes completely dissapeared when he respawned, I have no idea why
here's an image that shows both bugs
LD47_HAZLdX5tVO.png
3 - after completing the game I was dissapointed to be greeted by a fatal error message
LD47_cMbTg6ZpkC.png
4 - this one isn't really a bug but altough I loved the respawn anim/loop it could have been smoother
despite these problems I still really enjoyed it!
Impressive what you managed to do in 3 days! I liked just about everything, the art, the gameplay, the upgrades
I just didn't really know what the DO NO EVIL or DO EVIL buttons changed apart from the amount of money you made
also some sound would of course have been nice (I rated LD version)
overall great game
The art is amazing, can't wait to play it when it's fixed!
Just played it all the way through, what an incredible game, the art (obviously), the incredibly smooth animations/programming and of course the music!
I thought my game was pretty good but this, wow :)
The only thing that I could say that is even remotely negative is that it felt too short and especially too easy... I completed it first time and because of this I felt like I completed it before I even completely got to know all the mechanics and that just feels like a shame, maybe I was just lucky that I got the boss fight so early? Idk..
but overall an amazing game, I just wanted a little more challenge so I really had to learn some tactics
Damn, was the appendix there yesterday? Didn't know there were so many cards, I'm gonna have to play it again now
What a dark take on the theme lol
It took me a while to figure out that you could drop his hat but once I had that it was smooth sailing!
I really, really liked the art. There's only one setting/environment but it's so well done I can't really say anything bad about it!
It was really fun, the only negative thing I could probably say is that it felt very short.. but for the rest a game with great art, fun puzzles and good audio!
most of this game I felt like I was in a fever dream..
If you like physics based games this is a must play ld game in my opinion. I really liked it and played it all the way through altough I felt like the slippery stairs were way too hard!
I also sometimes got stuck on buildings when I got hit by a car (luckily this only happened 2 times)
and finally as other people have said, the camera goes through a lot of walls :)
It was pretty fun and the visuals were good altough I really didn't like how some parts were high-res and others super low-res. It was also just a little too short in my opinion.
for the rest it was an okay game :)
hooooolyyy sh***t what a plot twist ending that was, love it!
the art was cool, I didn't find any bugs and the goose took me a while to do, one of my favorite ld games!
@n8dev thanks, I really need to find out what causes it to ask for extra permissions before the next jam...
@cookienoir thanks, but which ones didn't shoot? because the ones in the armor room are supposed to not do anything untill you kill one of them and even then be pretty slow since at that stage you still only have one life :)
@batlen last time people said they only saw like 20% of my game because it was way too difficult so I'd rather it be a bit easier than harder from now on 😃
@eldelhas thanks so much! that's the nicest review I've gotten so far, I really appreciate it!
@honest-dan thanks and will do!
@rytisruk Thanks! and no it's not your fault lol, I honestly have no idea why I decided to implement that "feature"
firefox_9PpZk69rwC.png
No, I have no idea what you're saying, did you shit your t-shirt?!
Sorry just had to throw that in there, I really REALLY loved this game altough it is for the most part more a story than a game it was really well written and altough there weren't that many the illustrations they were very nice!
the only downside would be that there is no sound, not that I can say much - my last two games were completely silent...
LOVED IT!
@fawnblue I can't seem to hear it on firefox... either way, I adjusted my rating in that category knowing there is sound I just can't hear it.
The AI is just way too difficult... I feel like sometimes it's hard to pick things up, also the camera kept glitching when I stood next to a wall.
It was pretty fun, it's these small bugs and the difficulty that just subtract from the overall experience.
I did really like the art and the fact that he looks right when you turn right :)
It's cool but there are quite some bugs (keep in mind I played the html5 version) for one, the jumping is really weird I find it really hard to move even a centimeter in the x direction while in the air. the beginning instructions text was also so pixelated that I only recognized it as instructions the 3rd time I saw it
that said I do really like the graphics and the idea is pretty fun, too bad it's kind of held back by some clunky controls
What a beautiful game! the sound is also really good (something I struggle with). the mood is great!
there are some small remarks I would like to give though, 1 the collision is missing on quite a lot of objects. 2 it would be great if there was some kind tutorial... I spent like 10 minutes wandering around not knowing you could read the books. and 3 I was able to completely block the game by reading a book while dying.
but as I said the game is still really great!
Can't play game, no link...
I liked it, I liked that there were so many different types of squid and conspiracies they could be saying
I did get a glitch however, My health was at 0 and I didn't die. only the healthbar changed...
I also think the dashing is a bit overpowered and could really use a cooldown timer
other than it was fun to play and really funny
The font is really hard to read and I feel like the game could be a bit more difficult, other than that I had fun with it!
PS, Loved the art for the menu
It's very simple but I really liked it, Imagine if this is how they actually solved cases lol
there wasn't that much to it, but it felt very polished and the graphics were great :D
I wanted to get to the end but had trouble seeing the dogs and so got caught two times, after that I didn't want to drag the body again
On a positive note the beginning is pretty funny and I liked the physics for dragging the body
PS, It looks like you play like elastigirl when your arm moves so far away from your body lol!
(I never rate based on post jam version) I like the idea and really love the style but it was just way too difficult. and having to focus on both at the same time, no thanks!
I think this would be really fun if it was a bit easier, too bad you had to change that after the jam...
Edit: I now also played the post jam and that was a lot better!
Not exactly the most original idea but it did look very polished and feel good to play, I had fun with it!
there wasn't much to it, but it's probably the funniest Ludum Dare game I've played so far!
PS, I also loved how there was a button just to scream
Haha, towards the end I was really starting to think "how pretentious are these people?" but the ending did make it all make sense :D
Simple, but I really liked it!
I liked it, especially the effect with the light. no idea how you did that...
The game felt very relaxing and the mood was great!
I normally mostly play games with fewer ratings but this one just looked too good
I honestly really liked it, as you said I was able to see what the cards did by holding them over the "use card" region and the descriptions were very clear. Everything felt insanely polished for a LD game and the illustrations and models were beautiful!
The only slightly negative thing I have to say is that it was a bit easy in my opinion, but that's such a small critique that it doesn't even really matter
Simply incredible, I have nothing bad to say!
I liked it, but I didn't really feel like I was progressing. Maybe a counter of how many questions you've successfully answered would help?
I also liked how part of the game was just to turn the lamp of in front of the officers face and just calmly drink coffee while he asks questions lol!
Wow, really great.
Insanely interesting, maybe a bit much reading but it was worth it!
15/10, would get brainwashed again :D
PS, Amazonbar... reaal subtle
@busy-games @phantom-lab I'm so dumb, you're right I forgot to hit publish.
I would really appreciate it if you could try again :)
@busy-games Yeah, this is something I realised in like the last minute but it was too late to fix it. Since it's a game breaking bug I think it's fair to quickly patch it
@magnie @busy-games So sorry the game got stuck, since this is a game breaking glitch I have patched it and updated the itch io page :D
@bicheste thanks! If you're talking about the axe traps at some doors, those make a small sound before they trigger. So you have enough time to dodge
And if you're talking about the mice, they will run away if you shine your light directly at them
I guess that those two are pretty hard to find out on your own :)
@euix I'm able to dodge the axes every time, but I get that they're probably a bit too difficult, I agree
I felt that there was a sense of urgency, with the cave in...
And lastly about the rats, you need to look down. Right at them, maybe you have some extremely rare glitch I don't know about but otherwise it should always work like that
Anyway, thanks for playing the game :)
@pythooonuser Thanks! and you're right, only doors are interactable
@hugison thank you so much!
And I totally agree with just about every critique you have, if I had time these are just about all things I would add/change
The saw sound is a stupid one (on my part) because I just couldn't find a saw sound that would loop perfectly!
Potions would probably as you said add some much needed relief in later levels :)
@meritcoding hey, I agree with the intro critique but there was definitely sound (I've even had some positive feedback on the ambient sounds)
Just wanted to let you know before I get a bad rating on that category lol
@wuppos thanks, and I agree with eveything you said.
Balancing the health and time was really difficult because people play very differently, some people are careful but slow and others are fast but take a lot of damage
My brother for example almost always died from time, so yeah, I'm not sure how I would fix it but that's definitely something I would've worked on if I had more time!
It looks like we had about the same idea and just approached it very differently! I felt that the dungeon was a bit hard to navigate, I tried for about 10min in the first level and found only one star.
I even tried pressing retry in the pause menu (I thought there might be a glitch and the stars weren't spawning) but that didn't help. I actually found a glitch where if you press retry your health doesn't reset
Overall the graphics were good and there was a wide variety of traps, I just felt that for the first level it was way too hard :)
I really liked the art style, I feel like it would really help if there was a tutorial because it took me a very long time to figure out...
Also, I think it would be nice if you could know which enemy there would be where. that way you can look in your notebook before you fight them
I really liked it, I just wish there was some kind of tutorial :D
Hats off to you for using blender as a game engine lol!
I liked it but I feel like the road leading up to the boss could be a bit shorter but harder, because it took a really long time and got pretty boring.
but when I got to the end I was excited to see there was a boss fight, unfortunately I died and didn't want to do the whole road again to try the boss again
I still had fun with it :D
I liked it a lot, but there's a glitch where you can't mine the block right in front or behind you. the game also crashed two times out of three...
I also quite liked the graphics, very cute :D
Hey, I'm 15 and started doing ludum dare when I was 13 :D
I really tried to get to the end but unfortunately at some point there would always be furniture blocking me in some way, idk, maybe I just have really bad luck :-/
I also noticed that the game isn't paused while the tutorial is on screen. so the only way to have any chance of beating it would be to immediately skip the tutorial. (as other people have said mouse sensitivity was also too high)
But I did actually really enjoy it, and completing a game in three days is an accomplishment no matter what!
I liked it, the story was pretty confusing at times but I think I got most of it.
The graphics were nice but I felt that they were at times a bit unclear, still, nice game :)
I got to level three, and the mechanics are simple but enjoyable.
I liked the little parts in between, I also liked most of the 3d models
I didn't really like the combination of 3d and 2d, the 2d just kind off felt out of place...
What an amazing entry, especially for compo!
I love it, I have nothing bad to say about it :D
Very cute, the tutorial was bit over the top flashy in my opinion but I loved that you could kind of see through the camera :D
I finished it and scored 290, I really liked it! the holes mechanic took me a while to figure out because I had to realise it wasn't actually top down view
But overall a really creative take on the snake game classic!
I LOVED IT!
but I absolutely hated the pig sounds, I always got this image of an actual dying pig in my head :(
other than that, awesome!
I won! I think the graphics are really good and I like the control scheme, the only negative thing I hae to say is that the laser should be explained, as it took me a while to figure out:D
Wow, 400mb!
I really, really enjoyed this. it looks great, it feels great, I had a lot of fun :D
There are honestly only two small negative things I have to say, first some of the planets were very poorly UV unwrapped.
and second, I feel like it doesn't get harder. At first it was a real challenge but once I got the hang of it I felt like I could go as far as I wanted. in the end I got to 5 light years and stopped
PS, turns out black holes are just portals lol. I died from a black hole and then after death it changed from like 5 to this 2001_A_Space_Odyssey_WIt42mO6Si.png
I had a lot of fun with this, it feels incredibly polished and very nice to look at.
I also loved the water - air jetpack mechanic!
Unfortunately i got stuck at this part, as I have no idea how to get past the second water area. firefox_Y8WmQITL1Q.png
still had a ton of fun with it though!
I played the game and tried to finish it but every time after I found the first clue the "Accuse someone" menu popped up, so I unfortunately never had time to get to the second clue!
I also saw that the colors for the menu changed and the scroll wasn't cut out perfectly firefox_PEc5GYI1UR.png
firefox_0jMe2Yxw4p.png
I did enjoy the idea and honestly would have loved to finish it!
I think it would look better if all the textures had the same pixel size, it also took me a minute to understand but in the end I got so many bees they're probably gonna die from food shortage lol
firefox_sPlwHgByiA.png
also the nurture UI spins around with the egg and that looks pretty weird
But I enjoyed it :)
I really liked the graphics and the idea
The controls felt a bit clunky and I also felt that there should be a more clear indication that you need to drop down, because if I don't see a platform from where I'm standing I'm gonna think there's nothing there
so you could either bring the platform higher up so you can see it or kind of create a trail down with the cubes or coins or something
I still really liked it though!
As other people have said, the sounds were really good!
Now, I don't know if this is a glitch but I couldn't reel anything in, it just kind of reset my weapon...
I didn't really like how many styles there were, the diver, the boat, the rocks, they all had different styles clashing together
I still liked it tough
