Cool concept. I really like the way the levels drop in and out, and I can see the fire and water djin having some cool animation potential. I was struggled to fully understand how the fire was spreading until about 4 levels in, and I also found it difficult to use horizontal and vertical inputs on a diagonal game board. Also after i finished some levels, the game just stopped, and i had to restart. Really cool idea, nice one. :)
I think the little drawings that teach you the rules are a little confusing. Or perhaps they tell you the objectives? Because I was a little confused on the last level because previously I had to burn all the trees but not on this one. However, the music was nice, the puzzles were a tad easy but well-put together and enjoyable to go through, and the animations are nice. The transition between levels was slick! Great job! I really enjoyed that.

that was fun. I think a lot more could be done with this concept. The last level took me a while to figure out but when I did it felt great.
would be cool if there special blocks/items that allowed you to flame jump from one to the other, of course only a one time usage. then you could have things where you jump gaps or jump over previously scorched areas.
Loved the level fading and the graphics! - and cool concept as well.
I never really understood the firespreading, or what killed the djinn, and the controls where a little wonky at times - also, sometimes the camera wasn't correctly centered.
Overall it looked amazing and very finished, and with a little more polish and clearification, it would be great!

Fun, i'm note sure i get everything about the concept but i loved it :)
Excellent audio and neat visuals. The first levels were a bit too easy, but the later ones were really enjoyable.
I liked the graphics and audio. Nice puzzle game idea. Nice work!

Pretty fun game! The enemy was inserted in a great point of the game, adding a different mechanic. Good job.
The game looks very polished for a game jam project! As mentioned above, the camera was off-centered sometimes so I couldn't see some of the blocks. I actually got stuck at a level with the water genie and genuinely couldn't figure out how to beat it :(
Really good game. The audio is crisp, clear and works well. The controls I hated. Wish the angle or the controls were easy to play. Otherwise gj
I'm impressed by the polish of this game. Feels like a full fledged puzzle game with great graphics and audio!

Realy well made ! Nice graphic, cool music... I like the first steps that teach you how to play, really good tutorial ! But it is certainly short :/ Maybe a little lake of innovation too. But with more time you would perhaps be able to add some new mechanics in this nice puzzle game :)

(SPOILER) Like the concept that you depend on your opponent to help you. Nice hang drum music. Overall best game I played so far from this Ludum Dare!
I like the graphics style of this. A bit tricky to understand, I think using some words in the tips that pop up would have been helpful! But once I got the idea I had a really good time! That last level was tricky and it felt great figuring out the solution. Very innovative!
Nice game! Had a perfect way to teach the basics to the player without feeling like a tutorial :D
The level loading animations were awesome! Good job.
I like a puzzle game and this one was fun. Although I didn't fully understand how the fire worked, if I did I probably would have enjoyed it more. The animations of the level appearing and disapearing was a nice touch and the visuals were great.
Good job.

Really good puzzle game. It's actually quite similar to the original idea I had for my entry :) I've seen a lot of people making games about fires in one way or another (including me) and it's always fun to see how varied their ideas still are :D
Great Gameplay and great game overall. There's a lot of potential for expansion like more puzzles etc. Thanks for you entry.

What a beautifully polished game, the art, the music, the movement. I enjoyed every second of it! (also, finally someone who puts a tutorial IN the game)

:frowning: whoaa.. what an awesome game.. solid mechanic, stunning graphic & sound with excellent level design. the end level is very tricky, it takes about 9 times try for me to finish it. good job:thumbsup:
:astonished: Wow thanks to everyone for all the amazing feedback! It's my first Ludum Dare and I'm really amazed by the quality of input we received through your comments! And I'm super happy many of you seem to have actually enjoyed our game.
@chickencastle Interesting point with the camera angle not matching the input directions. The bugs with levels stopping working was fixed post-jam.
@barret That's a nice power-up idea. I was actually thinking about something similar during the jam.
@skovtrolden Camera angle not matching inputs and unclear mechanics/tutorial. Noted. Thanks for playing!
@grumpy-wren-games Off-centered camera. Noted. I think it's related to the WebGL Build. Sorry we didn't integrate any hints so you got stuck! :slight_frown:
@literal-games I also do believe some text from time to time would've been helpful. Noted for the next jam, thanks!
@crazybot Haha yes. The true nature of tutorials so few seem to know about. Thank you.
