A cool idea but it really lacked content, you run out of things to do very quickly and nursing eggs honestly just takes way too long.

Some more guidance on what to do in the game, in the game, would go a long way.
I think there's a good basis here for a fun game! Collisions with the other bees made it hard to get around after I had a few of them. But I'd love to build an entire colony and see it continue to grow. Great job!
@pandepic thanks for the feed back, I can see how that can happen. @cheese-team Yeah I can see that, did you see the description in the Itch.io page? If you have, please tell me how to make it better. I will work on in-game tutorials. @1minatur Thank you very much. I hope that I will be able to expand the game, to be more complex.
a neat concept I could easily see a broader game based on this concept. overall well done
Lovely game, i didn't expect it to bee () this enjoable
@too-lazy-cat haha
I don't know if its just me but any bee that was nursed by one of the worker bees got stuck after hatching. They wouldn't move. But other than that, I really enjoyed the game.
@turquoise-moon yeah, there were a few bugs in the game that I couldn't fix in time. I will fix it soon.
Cool idea, could see it fleshed out a bit more, as is the nature of game jams. Anyway, how crazy would I bee if I excavated the entire map and made it a mega-hive.
@sockpuppetcow that would bee a amazing idea.
I like the art style, but I found it quite confusing. I did manage to figure it out after a bit. Oh and the rotating nursing UI made my head hurt haha.
I hate giant bee x) but its fun
thanks @nyanpierre
I think it would look better if all the textures had the same pixel size, it also took me a minute to understand but in the end I got so many bees they're probably gonna die from food shortage lol

also the nurture UI spins around with the egg and that looks pretty weird
But I enjoyed it :)
Good beginnings of a bee simulator here, but after the first couple of eggs hatched, there isn't really a need to go on. Wasps look great though.
@crazybot thanks, I was trying a way to make the wasp a 32x32 wasp sprite, but I had a hard time with that. Also, haha. @xeke-death thanks, I didn't have time to have an objective. I was thinking making either some hostile insects, or food maintaining, and maybe weather. Thanks for the feedback
A few instructions in the beginning would help a lot, but I eventually figured it out. It's a cool idea and some nice art! There are a few physics bugs though. Eggs kept spinning together with the nurturing UI, many of my wasps got stuck and didn't do anything and the ones that did something were following me all the time and pushed me around ^^
It was fun to play, thanks.
that was quite fun and a nice try! It would be very helpful if i knew what i had to do.. Btw the bee animation was nice! Keep up the good work :)
@nikl could you eleborate on them getting stuck? @kaminos thanks
@thewhiterice I dug a small hole, put honeycomb on the bottom and then hatched a lot of eggs on it. All the wasps stuck together in the hole and did not come out. I tried digging them free, but they never started moving.
Sorry, but I really couldn't figure out the controls to the game. Clicking to place only seemed to work for eggs and I never was able to destroy any blocks. Also, as I mentioned on stream, try to avoid held button actions unless you really need them for sake of accessibility.
@bluishgreenpro alright thanks. Did you make sure to read the description before playing?
First there was nothing, then I came into beeing. First I harvested some flowers, then in the spirit of the theme I dug deeper and deeper until I reached a good spot to make my nest, once the nest was dug I said "Let there bee beebies" and beebees hatched out of my eggs and went to harvest flowers. All was well.
When they returned I could tell something was wrong. They said this world wasn't beeg enough for all of us, and I was the one they had chosen to exile. They rammed into me repeatedly but I escaped up to the surface with them hot at my heels. Unfortunately they cornered me at the edge of the world and while I flew there helplessly they gathered together for one giant blow that would squish me flag against it. I closed my eyes as the blow came but to my surprise instead of beeing squished against the edge of the world I was knocked through it. We flew there stunned for a few seconds, then I realized...
... I'M FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! FREEE.png
(This wasp a nice game )
@Anonymous hhahahahah. Yeah, I have to fix that eventually. Thanks for the story though.
Had fun pooping out infinite eggs. I'm now going to take my army of wasps and invade a country. Nobody will be able to stop our military invasion >:)
I think more of a goal might be nice, as well as maybe tightening up the baby wasp AI - most of my babies just sat around doing nothing. However, this was still fun, and I really liked the wasp sprite!
@dwightdavis yeah, I didn't have enough time for a goal
Pooped a bunch of eggs, grew a large nest! Now I want to attack some unfortunate creatures! Good game, I can see this being expanded with some more options on what to use the baby wasp for
