Very fun game ! I reached the top after several attempts.
The mouse sensitivity is really high, and sometime the stairs were completely blocked by the big dresser thing. Would be nice to be able to adjust sensitivity and maybe kick obstacles away, also different floor layouts.
But the concept works very well with the theme and is very enjoyable.
Neat idea! Unfortunately I didn't play for very long, the mouse is **way** too sensitive!

I had fun becoming a bunny-hopping, water-avoiding, parkour legend. The final cutscene was a nice touch! In terms of level design, having to cross the floors to get to a staircase on the other side would be a more fun challenge. This would also take more advantage of the randomized furniture in the way. Mouse sens was appropriate for me, maybe we have the same DPI?

that was an interesting game, fun concept but maybe a bit more work needs to be done on the movement and the mouse speed. also don't start the water level rising before I've clicked space to continue

Great job for your first time! There are a lot of things you can do to make the game better, but it's great that you were able to make it! It took me a few attempts to get used to the mouse sensitivity, the furniture sometimes blocked the stairs but since you're able to jump high they were a shorcut sometimes. The cutscene at the end is a nice touch.
Great job!

Nice concept, reminds me of some old roblox gamemodes. Doesn't offer much in the way of challenge, since you can just keep moving in a circle around the stairs, with the occasional piece of furniture briefly stopping you. Maybe putting the stairs on opposite ends of eachother would've been a better choice. Regardless, it's a good first submission

Hey, I'm 15 and started doing ludum dare when I was 13 :D
I really tried to get to the end but unfortunately at some point there would always be furniture blocking me in some way, idk, maybe I just have really bad luck :-/
I also noticed that the game isn't paused while the tutorial is on screen. so the only way to have any chance of beating it would be to immediately skip the tutorial. (as other people have said mouse sensitivity was also too high)
But I did actually really enjoy it, and completing a game in three days is an accomplishment no matter what!

nice! mouse was pretty sensitive, but this was an interesting concept for the game jam!
I made it!! And wow, was it intense and scary 😱💦 You really have to hit the ground running (quite literally!) and get a head start on the water or you'll have no chance, but it's definitely not impossible, feels very balanced.
The random obstacles are neat, seemed to always be possible to get past, and add replay value. Biggest issue is really just a lack of polish on the presentation (plain black text, the end of the sea plane visible, things like that). And some matching intense music would have really complemented the tension of the gameplay.
The theme interpretation is really clever as I've seen a lot of games about going deeper underwater but not about escaping a flood like this! Hope you can get your 20 ratings, I think you just need to play more games yourself if you have the time and people will play yours back 😊
