Hey ! Amazing game, great level of polish  However using the 'Z' button to jump is really counterintuitive, why not the Space button ? I really like the fact that you must use the round-shaped terrain to shoot at those spaceships ! I can tell you've put a huge amount of work in this, great work ;)

@4quet heh, it seems like I've been playing too many metroidvania's on pc. Thank you for playing, I'll make it more obvious that you can swap out controls (in the unity dialogue thing when the game boots up).
The art style and sound were suberb, and the gameplay was quite engaging. Didnt realize you could stand on rocks and such at first though, and I never really found out how to properly get past the lazers in stage 2.
Still, great game!
Hey there! I'd really like to play your game, but the mac build doesn't seem to work... in ultra low there's only a all blue screen, and in ultra, I just can't move or do anything. Is there a solution ?

This was cool! Bit too hard for my abilities, but I really appreciated all the work that went into the visuals and sound design. The idea of the small planet and the gradual destruction was just great.

@garymarance I haven’t been able to test the Mac build myself, but I believe it has been successfully played before. I’ll ask some Mac users about it and get back to you.
@darylsteak @dwam thank you for playing, it’s a shame that you couldn’t get past that phase. You’ll need to look around and find the black power ups around the map and on the enemy ships, which give you some powers that you need.
:warning: **I can confirm that you can beat the boss, and that I have not found any way to get completely stuck.** *If you feel underpowered, look around for extra abilities! You can try to parkour over lasers and on enemies, but that’s not required!*

I really like the design of the boss fight, and the destructible terrain is a super cool feature to have had finished up in 72 hours. I'm actually quite curious about how you did it. My only complaint is that while using the curve of the planet to get an angle on the ships was really cool, it unfortunately made it super difficult to shoot enemies and I couldn't keep up with the difficulty curve. Maybe some sort of lobbed projectile would've been helpful there?
Either way, this was really well put together. Great work!

@garymarance I’ve been looking around, and I’m not able to offer any fixes sorry. I’ve got two other Mac users, who are not reporting any issues, and are running the game fine. The fact that the Quality level damages the game leads me to believe it might be an issue with your tech, perhaps an old graphics driver, but I have no way of knowing. Sorry that it isn’t working. :broken_heart:

really well mayde and specialy for the circle game design I have trouble with shoot , a delay and maybe precise that its recommanded with pad ;) Anyway really solid entry
Super intense and pretty damn fun! Though I did feel a bit lost for a while because I wasn't aware I could jump over the central lasers I feel like this could be signafied better by having a sorta canopy or something that the lasers are attached to instead with a gap above them or something. Other than though the boss fight was super intense and took me a few tries to finish but kept me wanting to come back for more. Nice job

This is probably the most polished game I've seen in this jam. The style is great, the puzzles of defeating the ships were well executed, and level design is beautiful. As @morrilet said, shooting grounded enemies was a pretty big struggle, but other than that the game felt absolutely amazing.

i love the movement of the camera with the little planet, great job and great game!!
Really well done. The graphics and sound were great, I loved the rotating planet mechanic, and it was much more polished than I would expect from a 72 hour game.
Super neat game. Boss fighters are so cool, and the round world really added dimension to it. A platformer where you shoot things is a little overdone, but yours definitely separates itself from the rest. Great art, and great music.
I really enjoyed the cutscene animations, they helped sell the story a lot more. I thought the pixel art was a little messy for my taste, but generally the design was clear. I would have loved a faster / instant projectile. the pace of the game felt like it warranted things being a little snappier on that side of things. Overall, I actually really enjoyed playing the game. Great work for a LD entry!
Really loved so many things about this game: the impact effects, the music and the arcade gameplay. Loved the boss and the polish put in the game. Awesome job!
cool game nice, game feel. I love the pixel art.
I love the llama-esque guardian, the art style and execution of this game are impressive, and the music is great too! Nice work!
This is by far the best game I have played on here yet.

This is a really impressive project to cram into a ludum dare weekend! The music fits perfectly, the game is a fun challenge, and the destructable pixel world is cool. Plus extra points for supporting gamepads!

I beat it! That was difficult, but a lot of fun. You could really feel the impact of getting the new abilities. The boss fight felt really epic, well done! Timing the shots was tough, but I kind of got the hang of it. Art was solid, I enjoyed watching the world diminish.

@kellmen I’m glad you enjoyed, and it’s great to see that someone made it to the end! Stupid on my part tho that the pause menu opens during the win screen!
Now I saw you are the guy from Sigillis! :) I loved this one! The music and rithm is incredible. I had alot of fun, the action is perfectly balanced, the concept works great and the graphic is stunning. One of my favourites in this LudumDare. Amazin job!
A game well done! It was fun to play and it all was super smooth and bug-less.

The pixelart is super nice. I see you put a lot of effort into it. Game was pretty difficult and intensive but I liked that about it. Overall felt like you put a lot of effort into polishing it. Great submission!
Cool game guys. Especially sound and art.

Man, that was difficult. But fun! This was really well put together; I think this could probably be extended into a longer game, though some addition love might need to be given to the controls? Even as it is now it's great, though.
Cool entry, very original, the graphics and musics were really good! Not sure about the theme though, but that's an amazing entry anyway :)
Wow! This is awesome! Great graphics, mechanics, look and feel, music... it's just perfect.
It's a pretty complicated game, sometimes glitches. But it's fun. I'd make it for mobile platforms.

Fantastic game :)
Very interesting game, though I experienced some problems with it (probably all of them down to my own skill, though) ;) Here's my attempts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2u3BIVgcKdQ

I loved the game, it's very addicting in my opinion and the land destruction is awesome!
I think that maybe a little better tutorial would suit the game nicely.
It was a little hard for me, if this wasn't for LDJAM entry, I wouldn't play it till the end. It was enjoyable, but repetition frustrated me.
Another thing, shooting bullets on button release is annoying. It had to be like that because of the charged shot, but you could've looked at Megaman and copy that working mechanic from there, and it would've worked much better.
Great audio! It suits the world theme very well and made me feel included in the world
Graphics very stylized worked also towards this game's benefit. Pixel art FTW!
This is overall a great game, a little polish and it would be a major success even outside LDJAM world. Keep it up!

Awesome pixel art, combined with good soundtrack (it adds a good drive to it and could be heard for hours)is a good base for a great game. Although i had a lots of fun for a long time (because it's hard for casual like me) I found some minor things that could be improved next time. For example black flames for upgrades, at the first time i thought those were the things that were supposed to kill you. If i was not clumsy i wouldn't have learned to jump. At the end it says press any key to skip, but nothing happens. On the bright side, nice touch is that the planet gets destroyed over time, and that there are multiple enemies, different kinds of attacks and so forth. Overall it is very good game.
