Nice artwork, but I didn't realized gameplay moments of the game. It was not obvious where the mails are directing on the game map.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD46 → Keep Hope Alive?

Loved the artwork and the idea of handing letters is great. I had minor problems with the map but apart from that, it's good
the art of style is great and the font style is also great sounds overall it was fun to play apart of some minor errors
The artwork is really great and goes well along with the sound.
I absolutely loved the atmosphere you created with this game. It had a strong "This War of Mine" and "The Cat Lady" feel to it. The audio, art, dialogue, and animation set the mood and tone amazingly well.
I was very impressed with the simple design choice of making it easier to hand triangle mail to recipients vs forcing the player to drag the mouse farther for gray letters. The arm animation was genius and a great way to involve the player directly in something so difficult.
I would like to make some minor suggestions. I also understand that the comments below may be super difficult to implement in a short game jam like this.
- It seemed that the "Keep It Alive" theme was a little forced with "Keep Hope Alive?" I think the main reason is that I didn't have the feeling that I was keeping hope alive. This isn't a criticism of the game (the game was awesome), just a suggestion if you wanted to adapt the game to fit the theme better: I think you could have sold the theme better if you had a mechanic that measured hope/happiness like a "Gauge/Meter" of hope that the player had to maintain. If you've ever played "This War of Mine," certain actions in the game make the NPCs that live with you depressed or happy. In extreme cases of depression NPCs may even commit suicide. In "Keep Hope Alive?" this may mean maintaining the "hope" level/status of the player by doing some sort of action. If she gets too depressed she may lose her job or ___ insert consequence.
- I would have loved to see some more dialogue or interactions after the player handed over the letter to each house.
I only give this feedback because I really enjoyed the game. If you guys have made or decide to make more games with this kind of theme, I would love to playtest if you're interested.
The music and the art are really well made, it kept me wanting to play more. I was not sure if i had any impact in the "story" but i enjoyed your game very much.
@prototype-jon Thank you for your words! Was some ideas about "hope" level, but time... :) For implementing more interactions we had no time too, even if our artist created some stuff for it. But in the future we want to complete this game, so your feedback is really helpfull. You are welcome if you want to playtest in the future :) You can find me in fb - Karenin Dmitriy
fun!
hi! i really liked your idea with delivering the letters - fits perfectly to the theme. My only feedback would be to implement different interactions when delivering the letters. (But that's due to lack of time, i think...) But I love your artwork and also the music fits well - brings me in the right mood. Great work!
Hello, nice game, nice graphics. I'm a programmer looking for a graphic designer or a team to join and maybe work on new games, are you interested? email:m.shahiri.m@gmail.com
So many feels. The gameplay is very simple, but it had everything you could except for this type of game. The music and the graphics contributed a lot of course. This all blue/grey ambient. The whole game and of course the end are really depressing  The only bad point I see would be the gameplay, adding a bit more features would have been nice, but I guess like every jam the main problem is time haha
Is this a game? The amount of interaction was incredibly minimal. There's no "skill", no meaningful way to influence the ultimate outcome. It's a story, a poem, maybe a painting. Whatever it may be, the ending still managed to hit like a brick, even though I should have seen it coming. You created a world and situation that was engaging enough for me to get immersed in it, and never consider the inevitable conclusion that this story must hurtle towards. It genuinely hurt me.
Is this a game? I don't care. Bravo, and please grow this into whatever you think it should be. You have good instincts and vision - trust them.
This was really powerful! The art style and music set a somber tone throughout, and little details like the dog barking or the difficulty of delivering gray letters made it feel very polished. I also thought the ending was really well done. I do think it could have been nice to give people a different dialogue line before they receive the letter, when they still have hope/uncertainty, and then show their reactions to the letter after you hand it over. Overall this was a very immersive experience, great work!
You really work good on atmosphere, I love how color pallete and music create it
Cool game. Good job!
Very nice work with atmosphere. Loved the artstlye. This game would benefit a lot with the work of a writer. But hey, I got shiver delivering bad letters so you did everything correctly, haha. Good work
Gave me valiant hearts vibes, I like the art too.
I love, love love that the "sad" music kicked in each time the girl had a bad news letter, like, you knew immadiately that the person would be unhappy and you'll be handing a grey letter. The only thing I'd improve would be the artstyle, it fits the mood and such but it's not polished in some moments (like, I know it's scribble-y but still). Overall i like it, I'd love to see a full game with dialogues and more complex plot in the future <3 I also adore that you went with a serious theme, it's a bold idea for a game jam when everyone is doing funny games. God one!
