LD46 — Keep it alive

Mampfred and the singing, tingling tree by gagapete 2020-04-21T08:13:12Z

A fellow Godot user! In my opinion, I didn't really understand what I could or could not interact with and the tree instructions didn't really feel clear. Also, the "How to Play" screen felt more like a piece of lore than a manual, maybe it would fit better being played after you press the Start Button with the "How to Play" section containing a clear explanation of the controls and what you can do in the game.

NOAS by ROBOWARRIOR1982 2020-04-21T07:08:53Z

I got stuck in the first level after the tutorial but the mechanics seemed to be well implemented, movement feels smooth and shooting is fun. I'd probably work more on the audio and graphics, specially on the color palette. The scenario felt too empty and I didn't notice that the brown things were enemies before I was damaged by them and where I was supposed to go after beating them.

Bat Man by Dominium11 2020-04-21T07:31:27Z

I like the concept but didn't really feel like the implementation did it justice. Sometimes I misclicked on the charging station and it closed down so I just had to wait until I died. The gameplay feels a bit too slow and movement is somewhat clunky, let the player be constantly on move while holding down the movement keys might solve this issue. Maybe charging the doors could be an instant drain on your energy instead of waiting for it, electric currents doesn't really feel like it should be a bad thing since the player character has an energy theme to it and recharging the battery sometimes killed me seconds after leaving the station, but with some polish, I believe it would make for a good game. All in all, I liked the art and I feel it has potential to become a fun experience.

Dance Dance Unicorn of Magic! by Kagerowo 2020-04-22T11:14:07Z

First of all, I'm sorry that I couldn't reach back to everyone before, but thanks for the feedback! Glad we could bring you some joy with our little experiment!

@sheinxy I actually did use YSort nodes, but I still haven't figured out exactly how they work and how to make the whole node hierarchy so that the sprites get sorted properly. We also wanted to keep the unicorn as the center of attention all the time, so I thought we could get away with it, but according to the feedback it still feels awkward nonetheless. Thanks for the tip!

@tomssuli Thanks for trying out the game more times even if it didn't gave you a good first impression! The core mechanics weren't exactly intuitive and we didn't teach them properly to the player, so that's our fault.

@demkimos I'll be honest here, we thought of that while brainstorming but synchronizing the fire rate and the music's rhythm, especially with different songs, would take a lot of work to do properly. So we didn't really intend it, but I guess it worked out in the end

@sheinxy I'll look at it, thanks for the recommendation! Drawing attention to the unicorn was also supposed to be something more subtle, so I'm not sure if the arrow would work.

@diinki Thanks for the feedback!

@loginaut Sorry about the glitched speaker icon! I used Godot's default visibility notifier to save some time but apparently it's not working properly, so the ideal thing would be to code a custom visibility notifier in order to make it better.

Incredibly polished, really fun and innovative in both concept and gameplay. Camera transitions were really smooth and the whole atmosphere of the game just felt right. Plus, I never imagined myself having fun by rolling inside a jar in the middle of a city

LD59 — Signal

TURN SIGNALS by Sthor726 2026-04-20T02:26:02Z

I don't see any other comments so I guess I'll be setting the bar with measly 113 points lol

Game reminds me a lot of Subway Surfers, although I prefer the snappy controls of that game over the continuous movement. I felt like I ended up missing some coins due to not being positioned exactly right behind them. The signals could have been a little more highlighted, I didn't even notice them being there before I read the game's description, maybe the overly saturated colors of the other elements and the CRT filter end up obfuscating it. The game could be a bit more challenging too, the core loop felt way too simple and gets way too repetitive too quickly, specially for people that have already experienced similar games.

That being said, I love the graphics, art direction and audio design overall, helps create a good mood that accomplishes the fantasy of endlessly driving away.

Fun game overall, I just wish there was a keyboard key for quickly turning towers on/off just by hovering over the tower and pressing the key without having to open the little menu, but it didn't bother me enough to stop me from finishing the game.

From the Abyss by Megurt 2026-04-20T16:48:09Z

Really cool game! Felt polished in all areas, very fun experience overall. Congrats!

Detect Metal by Chomby 2026-04-20T02:56:09Z

Cool game idea! A bit more audio cues and feedback for shooting, hitting and moving closer to targets, and the ability to move in a direction while shooting in another, and I feel like this would be perfect.

Could definitely use a more detailed tutorial but once you learn the mechanics it turns out to be very fun and very well thought out puzzles. Overall a great game, congratulations!

Congratulations on the amazing game, liked pretty much everything about it to the point that I don't really see any improvements to suggest besides adding more content. Maybe adding some hazards that affects the guide instead of the animals could lead to a more challenging experience, but I'm not sure if that's really the point. Good job!

i love you, too by tolviere 2026-04-20T16:33:44Z

Awesome game, I enjoyed everything about it! Difficulty felt just right, controls behaved exactly like you expect and the mechanics really fit with the tone set by the narrative, graphics and audio. Congrats!
