I really liked it, it was fun and easy to pick up! Would have loved to see more levels, more complicated ones, and more mechanics (for example, explosive barrel that "teleports" the fire to all squares 1 square away). When the game ended I had a literal "awwww... :(" reaction! :D
I really liked the graphics, and the theme, but the controls felt buggy: I didn't know when I could attack again, sometimes the cursor disappeared, and in general it felt clunky. A healthbar for the enemies would be useful to give more feedback on the damage I'm doing. I think with some polish it could become a much more interesting adn better game.
That was a very interesting experience! Even with my musical background, it was difficult to find the matching samples, but once I found them, it was very rewarding! Especially the last song! :) I think some more cues to if the matching is going well or not would be useful, because this way it is very difficult (I actually tried to check the reaction of the little guy when activating each platform, and thought the headshake at the end means it's not good... but I'm not sure). Anyway, a very nice experience, even artistic, I would say!
Good game, very enjoyable. I never understood what the energy was used for, and a death screen before just returning to the main menu would have been nice. Also, the randomness of the upgrades unbalanced the game (you can get level 3 upgrade on the first room), and you can also get in a situation where you fill your inventory with level 1 upgrades, and can't get better ones. However, the graphics were nice, the music cool, and it gave me a bit of Binding of Isaac feeling :) Oh, I almost forgot: the aiming felt off, I think because the shot starts out at the arm, not the body, so it will launch at a slightly different angle I expected... this could be a feature, but felt a bit like a bug. Nevertheless, very nice game!
I liked the game a lot, I think it is an interesting idea! I felt it was well-balanced, and was fun to play. I also liked the mechanic of keeping the autonomous walking tank alive, and especially upgrading it. Choosing which attacker to slow down was also cool. I just wish the game were a bit longer, and maybe have more types of enemies. Also, it would be nice if the game would pause while in the upgrade menu, but maybe that was intentional, to keep the player "stressed"?
I really liked this game, one of the best entries I've seen in LD42! Very nice gameplay, the graphics is perfectly minimalist, the music fits nicely, and it was a lot of fun! My only issue is that it gets very difficult quickly, but I'm not as good at logic/puzzle games, so it is probably my fault. Oh, and that sometimes you move twice by one key press.
I agree with everyone before, the game is nice, the controls are innovative, and the graphics is unique and elegant. The high score was also a very nice touch, it made me want to become better. However, the game is too difficult, it is very hard to dodge the spiky balls. A lower starting difficulty and smoother increase would make it better.
The game is an interesting remake of a classic (I think), and it was fun. I'm sorry that I cannot evaluate the graphics, because that was superb, in my opinion: it felt like playing on a very early cathode ray tube display.
I really liked the concept of the game, and especially the graphics, but it lacked conflict for me, the corporation fighting back. Otherwise it was fun to play through!
That was a really good game! The graphics, the music (that typing SFX!), the and the intentional repetitiveness, as well as the "machine thinking" in it were very nice! For me it is one of the best games of this jam so far.
@bar0net, could you explain a bit more how to play? I don't seem to have understood how to play it. In the battles I just played all the actions possible every turn, and then finished the turn. Based on the above comments there must be more to it.
I can't say I really got the hang of it, but the audio (both the music and the SFX) was amazing!
That was fun, even if causing a lot of anxiety! :D Was it intentional that the bloom effect made it more difficult to see the boxes? :D
That was funny! I've found it a bit too difficult at first, but after I got the hang of it, it was fun constructing shelves and managing the waste. The physics was a bit frustrating (if a shelf full of waste falls over you are basically dead), but it was overall nice.
I couldn't figure out what the game is about. Could you give a description what the goal is and how to play it? I really liked how the music comes to a halt when you pause, but unpausing doesn't work :(
Hey! I tried the game, it's fine, but I've found some bugs: - I could not get dash to work (space/shift)... how do you do it? - either the audio feedback is late, or the hit boxes / collision detection is off, because I got damaged even when there was nothing nearby - you cannot return from the options menu - main menu button from game doesn't work
Btw, you can update your upload on itch.io as well, it's easier to find the fixed verions that way.
Cool game, I really enjoyed it! :)

Hey! I couldn't try this game, as virus protection blocks even the domain it is hosted on, but I like the idea.

I really liked the idea, but without knowing the rules of how the tribe reproduces, it's a bit difficult to play. Also, @samuel-hollywood-summers "people tend not to reproduce asexually outside of this game" :D :D :D
