which levels? maybe the game just does not work for me... or there is really nothing

kellmen 2019-10-07 22:35

The narration at the beginning is a little long and the gameplay follows. Did you maybe not make it passed that?

merkisoft 2019-10-07 23:08

intro is too long and maybe there is a problem with hitting the enter key or space bar (still having the focus and messing up the game)?

lifeinacemetery 2019-10-07 23:27

Thanks for letting us know, there's an issue with pressing the enter key during the intro. It interrupts the intro sequence and can make the game stuck on a portion of dialogue. If you'd like to try again, wait for the intro to complete and the only controls this game uses are the WASD keys for direction, space bar for jumping and the mouse for item selection. Thanks!

sometimesghost 2019-10-07 23:48

Really excellent game overall! I love the narrator, real sense of whimsy to the writing there. It's a nice cherry on top to an otherwise fun bite-sized puzzle-platformer. That last level could've used a halfway checkpoint, but otherwise my only complaint is that there isn't more of it!

kellmen 2019-10-07 23:52

@sometimesghost So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the feedback! I agree about the checkpoint. If we decide to expand the game, that will definitely be a part of it!

kellmen 2019-10-07 23:54

@merkisoft Thanks for finding and pointing out that issue with the 'Enter' key. That should no longer be an issue.

I had trouble when I would run forward, my element would switch on its own. Other than that everything worked fine for me! Many funs were had. Would play more!

porocyonak 2019-10-08 04:00

nice idea!

brotherbondproduction 2019-10-08 04:05

I could not fully explain how much I adore this game! The narrating, humorous. The puzzles, gradual and becomes challenging at points; therefore perfect! Everything about this sparks my interest and I'm glad I fell upon it in the monstrous game selection. Needless to say, I'm adding this one to my collections.

Cheers!

janderson-barboza 2019-10-08 04:15

Congratulations to the whole team! Great job, I loved the narration of the dialogues, the music, the graphics and the difficulty progression of the game! <3

zenpj 2019-10-08 05:45

Really cool idea of unlocking tools to build a path to the exit, this could definitely be expanded upon in the future!

of711 2019-10-08 05:52

Very very cool!

aaranos 2019-10-08 06:07

Narrative platformers are underrated. It's quite a bit of fun.

cheldav 2019-10-08 06:16

I. Love. This. Game. So. Much! The idea is fascinating, the gameplay easy enough for even me to pick up without too much trouble. The music is happy and energetic which suits the premise quite well. And the commentary was a hoot! I literally keeled over after some of the comments, they surprised such a hard laugh out of me. I would LOVE to see a full length version of this game. My only suggestion would be to take a look at length of time between when the player dies and when the screen recenters itself on the starting point. I kept placing blocks either way out of reach or too close to the starting point because I'd start placing blocks as soon as the screen looked and felt like it was recentered, yet invariably in the beginning the screen would move once more and throw my alignment off. There *may* be an issue with laying the blocks and how that affects the little dude- I noticed a couple times when I thought the little dude moved a bit when I laid down a block, because one second I was fine and the next I'd fallen even though my fingers weren't on the keys, but if y'all can't recreate that then maybe I imagined it, or my hands were too shaky. I am 100% in love with this game and I'm looking forward to more interesting games from this group!

I really enjoyed this game, love the narrations and sound design. character was really cute as well! The character felt as if he was on ice which made it sometimes quite difficult no to fall. Great job overall!

adamcyounis 2019-10-08 09:59

the VO was adorable, well voiced and well written. Easily the highlight of the game. The platforming mechanics were a bit floaty, but the level designs were solid. Overall, pleasant to play :)

redimension-games 2019-10-08 12:31

I enjoyed playing it. The voice acting was great. Wish the character felt a little but more responsive, but overall fun gameplay.

emmatw 2019-10-08 14:14

This game was a lot of fun to play, the puzzles were great and it felt super polished! Well done!

hadi-danial 2019-10-08 14:30

Haha that was pretty fun, I liked the narration! Pretty cool idea for a puzzle game! Well done!

rensei 2019-10-08 14:39

Nice soundtrack and narrative. The character controls were good enough, the puzzles were quite interesting  I liked it!

flying-dog-fish 2019-10-08 17:53

A fun little platform with great voice acting and some funny dialog.

mirka-chan 2019-10-08 22:53

Good job ^^

falu 2019-10-09 06:29

Enjoyed this a lot! The narration gives it such character! And the ability to use and get cards is fun. Schmoot will go on to do great things! Although the "do you think this is some kind of game?!" sfx might get repetitive (only downside imo)

marcin-j 2019-10-09 17:57

Quality voice acting and a very fun chill puzzle-ish game. +1 for making fun of the player :)

tricky-fat-cat 2019-10-09 18:03

It's a cute puzzle game woith adoreable narration.

swen 2019-10-09 18:03

Controlling the character itself was a bit though, I felt like I was sliding. But other than that I really enjoyed the concept! (and the savage narrator).

bryvox 2019-10-10 04:29

This was really fun! I thought the level design was great as well as the music and narration. Really cool game :)

synltr 2019-10-10 09:30

superb very nice ...

savvy-community 2019-10-11 09:17

Really nice game! The concept is neat and the voice acting/humor is on point, good job! :)

kellmen 2019-10-12 04:01

Thanks for all of the feedback. Glad so many of you have enjoyed it. It really warms our heart to hear all this and gives us motivation to take our idea further.

I also appreciate the criticisms! Please keep that coming as well :) It would seem we need to spend more time tightening the control of the character and I would definitely love to take the time to do that!

dock-frankenstein 2019-10-12 07:22

Yes.

bradleyashley 2019-10-12 19:52

This was a great concept executed very well, the growing stage, the true puzzle aspect with freeform solutions. It was engaging and rewarding to play! Top ratings.

random-storykeeper 2019-10-13 08:12

I really love the narration in this game. The voice acting had great delivery to make the game fun while I was figuring out the puzzles. Some of the quips, even the ones that were supposed to be insulting, were rather amusing. I liked the pleasant music track and that credits detail at the end for "Game design" was a nice touch. I found the movement of the character to be on the sluggish side and unresponsive when first pressing one of the A or D keys to move. But other than that, the level design was pretty solid as a whole. I like how the last level unfolds into a longer level, although it might have been cooler if the buildup to that longer level was more gradual. Still, I give this game two thumbs up.

nitroglycerine 2019-10-27 10:50

Very cool voice acting! But the beginning is too long!
