Pleasantly surprised. The particles and circle manipulations were very impactful towards the visuals and tied well with the music. I liked the various ways to earn score. The score multiplier increasing per-round was clever; it kept me playing!

I would've wished for automatic fire, though. I found myself smashing my space bar to fire faster. Overall a clean entry that took me by surprise with its minimalist branding.

@decadedecaf Thank you! I'm surprised myself anyone would enjoy this in any way haha. And yea I was thinking about auto-fire for awhile, and implemented it for a second then removed it because I kinda liked spamming and timing hitting the moving enemies was easier, but that's just me!

Thanks again for the response :)

this is super cool! loved how it's all clipped within the circle, especially with the player at the end. small detail i really enjoy. i really liked trying to figure out what the goal was. really nice game that fits well in a ludum dare context, where the gameplay loop is immediately revealed and you can spend however long you want playing it. highest i got was a bit over 1500

Both the minimalist art style and the music are great. And I like the details such as the border distortion when shooting. Even the mouse icons are customized to fit the overall design.

@torcado Thank you Torc! Yea I went harder on the theme more than anything for this one. But I am glad people are enjoying it :)

Thank you for your feedback you are too sweet ;-;

@chaosinism Hehe, yea I am not the best at asset design, so my fallback is more satisfying small details. I'm glad you noticed that and appreciate the comment a ton :)

Really great first entry. The idea of the circle shrinkng in and only being able to control it one way was really cool to me. It too me a while to realize why I shouldn't be spamming space bar but when I realized I think I got my highest score yet (2,300 something?). Really adds to the skill part instead of just mindless shooting. One thing is I think the starwall enemies should have rewarded more points because they take so long to kill compared to other bigger targets that give many more points. Overal really nice entry and I look forward to seeing you participate in more jams!

Nice implementation of the theme.. I didn't know how to play. I was thinking to use the mouse, after I understood that I have to use the keyboard.. Maybe some instruction can help the user when start the game. Nice game for your first jam.
