Awesome Ludum Boat Race by mvasko2 2020-10-09T20:01:11Z
Cool concept! I tried it alone, but that could be really fun with other players!

That's a fresh idea ! It looks nice and even have sounds ! It does not run so well on my computer, but i still enjoyed it !
Cool game! I love how the ghost wears everything as a hat :)
That game was kind of weird... Still, pretty fun to play ! However, rotating with a and d feels really weird, i expected to translate with these keys since i can control all rotations with my mouse
Really interesting concept! It could definitely lead to some really cool narrative games! Plus, the pixel art looks really good! However, i found the fact that the client comes back until you give him the perfect match is a bit frustrating. Yet, that's still a pretty fun puzzle game!
Cute ! I especially liked all the details near the end !
YES! That was really fun!
cool concept !
Cool game! The gravity mechanic is really satisfying!
Super intuitive to play! The sound design and graphics makes it really satisfying !
Nice idea! I really like the effects on the loops!
I really liked the artstyle and the sound design, it makes it really satisfying to play !
Simple concept, but very efficient ! I like how the different slimes and their combinations gives a lot of mechanical depth to the game !
Very original idea that fits the theme extremely well! The effects on the text were nice too!
Just out of curiosity, did you see two distinct gameplay parts @ramble-house-games @quinn-patrick ? I tried to implement a little something (spoiling it would kind of ruin it), but it didn't seem too obvious (some friends of mine tested my game and didn't notice it). So i just want to know if it happened to other players, and if i should have made it more obvious...
Anyway, thanks for playing and for the feedback !
@marcmagus Thanks for the feedback ! I didn't support WASD because i have a french keyboard (the equivalent would have been ZQSD and would be quite uncomfortable to play), i thought of implementing a control mapping menu, but i was not sure if i had enough time to do this, so i kept the arrow keys ...
@lrotp Thank you :)
@zackavelli Thanks a lot!
@coderaurus Thanks!
@dharby Thank you for the feedback!
@ramble-house-games Thanks! :)
@quinn-patrick Thanks! I wanted to make something extremely simple as a basis, and add some hidden (perhaps too hidden?) spice with the time left, while keeping the basis as alright to go through.
@rakowu Thanks !
@sava-tsurkanu Glad you liked it :)
@ben-ash Thanks for playing ! I didn't spent time on the audio, i didn't want to make accidental loud sounds that would be painful to hear since i have pretty much no experience in sound design...
@shambles Thank you :)
@mvasko2 Thanks for the feedback and advices ! I realize now that it's actually pretty hard to hint a hidden path to the player. I now can see the mistakes i made in order to do this, thanks to the feedbacks, i definitely learnt some things with this game !
@tommy Thanks for the feedback ! That was pretty much exactly what i was aiming for with this game !
@nicoccino C L I C K I N G I N T E N S I F I E S !
@coding4rtist Thanks for the feedback !
@marcmagus Actually, i thought about implementing a control mapping menu. I have heard it's pretty simple to do in Godot, but since i have never done that before, i didn't know exactly how much time that would take, so i kept the arrow keys as a compromise. Definitely something i need to learn for future game jams. (Oh, and there is also this shift+alt technique, but i was scared that too many people would be unaware of this trick).
@island-jam-2-group-3 Thanks for the kind words! I wasn't particularly practicing text animations, but since it's pretty easy to do, i tend to use it a lot!
@chaosinism Thanks for the feedback!
@cogcomp Thanks!
@xatulu Thank you very much!
@doot Thanks :)
@mrpiedpiper I have never played this game, but a friend of mine also told me this, i guess i really should give it a try someday! About the cheat code thing, i realized afterwards that forcing the player to push the button was not a really good idea... That's something i'll keep in mind. Anyway, thanks for playing and for the feedback!
