Nice, the explosion made me jump otu of my chair. ( It may be 36 hours awake and double figures of coffee ) It'd be cool with some relative gravity from the different planets to pull the ship around more, or launch at the same velocity when you leave your current planet.
Also - just minor thing - it's hard to see the ship on reset.

Nice game! I agree, the ship is sometimes hard to spot.

Holy cow, this game has the same level of engaging by being annoying as Flappy Birds, holy dang if it isn't addictive. Sadly I suck a bit so only got to rank 4, but had hell of a fun by doing it. Love it !!!

Good game mechanic! I think adding relative gravity around planets would make the game too difficult because of the unpredictable trajectory. A similar, more interesting improvement could be that outer planets (for realism) or bigger planets (for balance) move at slower speeds.
Nice game! Pretty good graphics, but I don't get how it fits into the game.

Cool!
It reminds me about my old LD34 entry: https://web.archive.org/web/20170919102307/http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-34/?action=preview&uid=23381
The link to the compiled game doesn't seem to work. But there are still sources and video. Maybe this will serve as an inspiration for you!
Concise while challenging gameplay. I like how planets are lightened by the sun. Is it realized in 3D, or 2D with normal maps?

@chaosinism Thanks! It's 2D with normal maps - that was my first time using them, very fun stuff. ^^
Earplug physics simulator 2020 has come a long way
Nice game, but on my screen is hard to spot the little spaceship
'Simple but effective' would describe this well, I think. Has a lot of that 'one more go' about it and I think you've implemented and iterated on that idea really well in 48 hours.
It's a bit hard to see the spaceship at times, and I was unaware that I would start the next round on the planet I just landed on. In hindsight, I should've pieced that together faster, but even changing the color of the planet you are currently on to green or something would've been enough to indicate "you are here."
Really cool game, and despite the background making it hard at times to see the player, the backgrounds are gorgeous! Great work!

Nice one, i've had fun, i'd love volume controls though. The flying mechanic is well made and planets zooming around reveal a level of stress i did not know ive had this morning)

Fun to play. Thank you for your game

Really clever tie-in with the theme, gameplay was fun, controls were intuitive and i only crashed into the sun like 10 times. You should probably make the spaceship more noticeable at a glance though, it took me a few seconds to realize what i was piloting. Really good entry!

Cool little game! I think planets having gravity would have fitted well with the newtonian acceleration you have there, but maybe that would have been too difficult? Maybe for hard mode!

God, I loved your idea but that controls somehow made me unable to play at my full potential. Thanks for your game!
How were you generating the backgrounds? I really liked them. I could only get a high score of 5. Fun game but at times the player sprite was really hard to see and I often lost it.

@anant-ahuja Thank you! I've made the backgrounds in Gimp. ^^
Yeah, I probably should have made the spaceship more visible, I fixed it in a ***post-compo*** version if anyone has a problem with it but wants to try out the gameplay.
Entertaining game

I like the interpretation of the theme - literally going round in circles!
Unfortunately, I really couldn't get the hang of this. I don't think I ever scored more than 1. The controls seem a little unintuitive, but I think the biggest issue difficulty-wise is that the planets move way too fast relative to the ship. You can't catch up to the planet you're targeting, and you can't get out of the way of the red planets fast enough; by the time you realise one of them's going to hit you, it's already hit you.
I think if you slowed the planets down, at least initially, that would made the game a lot easier.

Looks like you've fixed a bunch of stuff in the post-compo... well, that covers all of my feedback! The planet speed could be decreased a bit too though imo.
Very fast and pretty hard, ship is pretty hard to see. It looks really cool though and the game mechanics are innovative and interesting.

I played and lost like 5 times before realizing I was a tiny ship and not the planet with the arrows! WOOPS! That little ship is sometimes hard to see.
After I realized who I was, I started doing a lot better. I liked the physics feel, and the way that your best shot is really that first hop, and if you miss and have to try for the next orbit, the danger level really spikes! It was fun trying to set up those quick safe one-shot hops.
Nice job with a cool physics-based control scheme. I think my top score was a 7, but I bet if you were patient and careful you could get a really high score.
