Nice visuals, music and idea, good fit for the theme! What kills it for me is the slow speed of every test run. A toggleable fast-forward button is probably a requirement for this type of game.
Interesting! But a bit short? I agree mouse input maybe would be nice for this!
Entrancing! I spent a good 20 minutes before my "light faded". Nice visuals and music.
Nice simple visuals, makes me want to do 3d next LD! Had some problems with the camera.
I have no clue what's going on! :P I saw the chicken, but couldn't reach it. Seemingly randomly teleporting back and forth between the two levels. The brutal gravity seems to cause the character to randomly pass through platforms. I dig the graphics though.
Looks greaaat! A good, eerie BGM would really do it justice.. Still, a great mood.
I'm a sucker for space games with upgrades! Controls are a challenge to get used to.
Missing an objective. Cute graphics, cozy driving at night.
Nice particle effects, good movement, great gfx, great tutorial. No music, but the atmospheric sounds are perfect. Great spooky mood! Just the right amount of difficulty. The light mechanic adds a sense of urgency.
Simple but great mechanics that make for a challenging puzzle! Particle fx are great. Bevy is love.
David Lynch, is that you? 🤔
Nice drawings, very fitting audio, simple and well executed gameplay!
My favourite part was when two of the enemies accidentally killed each other.
Super neat graphics, classic top-down-shooter. Protip if you're dying a lot: don't move too much.
Highscore: 2 deaths, taking 7 hits!
The hamster is very cute, and has very nice animations. But it turns so fast it's hard to control. The gameplay is simple enough, and it's fun to explore. Nice take on the theme!
I like how you can "save" a bad shot by flicking it again before falling out. The controls are like inverted golf but real-time. Strange but original graphics. It's a vibe.
Knowing the stack behind this, it's no small feat. Great use of a limited feature set. Well tuned difficulty.
@technonugget Wow, that's the first time i've seen mercury outside of level 5! :D I just put it at an absurd range when it's supposed to "not exist". Happy to see more bevy entries, I'll take a look.
Thanks everyone for the feedback!
+ Great music + Unique zoomed out perspective + Insane amount of content + Really well designed overall
The driving reminds me of an old swedish childrens game, Mulle Meck Bygger Bilar :-)
+ Awesome menu screen + Premise + Magical cutscenes + Cute cats
I did not manage to complete any objectives (where is the engine?), but Mr Kitty Jr has won my heart.
Today I learned:
- Writing is all you need - We're all in debt - My hard drive will never be truly empty
Simple, nice graphics, odd but nice tune. Great variation in enemies and patterns. No complaints!
I always thought I'm having way too much fun in WinDirStat and the likes. Great idea to turn it into a game. Fits the theme perfectly!
Fun idea! Rewarding to hear the song playing when you succeed. The timings are really tight.
Basic gameplay, but had fun exploring the map and finding all the secrets. Content is king. Well done!
Score: 100% in 507s :-)
Nice music. Combat is refreshing in how it requires you to be patient. I would totally play a roguelike based on this, with loot and different weapons.
Graphics are endearing and make me nostalgic for flash games. Incredibly hard to control ship, which makes it hard to progress and experience the game. The best thing about this game is the fun way it adheres to the theme.
Shiny, cute, well balanced difficulty!
- Awesome music - Super stylish - Highscores!
Most polished game I tried so far. You know how to make it juicy!
The gang looks very sad about the fact that I didn't manage to fit a park.
- Cozy music - Great character sprites - Basebuilding!
Really cool!
Man.. felt like going to a museum. Nice little story about the passing of time. Newspaper segments are neat. The chores are just slightly too long, really tested my patience. Square format camera is a nice way to adhere to the theme.
Those are some serious graphics for 4 hours!
I am the winner!
I had to try what happened if you lost. Poor fella. The chomping effect is great, with the particles and screen shake!
Small bug: music plays multiple times if you go to the main menu again.
Hehe, you had almost the same name idea as me :D
The puzzles are hard to grasp at first, but become strangely intuitive. Colorful, cute, and nice music!
Short, simple & cute. I like the scrolling mechanic. Reminiscent of those simple point-and-click games I played as a child. Props for the beatboxing!
Would love to see it in color.
Cheat code: "Dark Reader" chrome plugin :P
Nice variation in the levels. Hard to know which sprites are possible to pick up - maybe they could be automatically picked up? Controls are hard, would benefit a lot to be able to use arrow keys. Good amount of mechanics, and nice to have difficulty setting. Very ambitious for a 48 hour jam!
Cozy & unique! Very nice music.
Nice music. It was weird to me how movement is on ESDF instead of WASD. Juicy effects!
Great introductory tutorial! Nice variation in levels & patterns, nice music, good feedback when close to the projectiles. Satisfying when you're doing well. The controls are a bit slippery, but it adds to the challenge!
I like how the rocket mechanic relies on spatial audio. Very neat. Nice graphics, and music! WASD did not work for me.
Highscore: 517!
