very funny game
Love the pixel art :3
Well I may be incredibly stupid, but I did only solve the puzzles myself partially. It took me a second to realize that the text in the top left actually changes and can display hints, also I spent probably 50% of the time finding the key. Despite that the game doesn't really do anything wrong, there maybe could've been more physical hints, mainly for the puzzle with Jean, but besides that everything looks and sounds neat and polished.
Yessss I finished it :D Ok, I used the walkthrough a bit. I love the feel, sounds, music does fit the aesthetic. The random doors were funny, but the funniest was running around with a light-bulb-flower-pot as a head. You really made a nicely finished game, thanks!
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
Really good job. Excellent little accomplishment for a weekend, had a good time with it. Only got stuck once. Or, twice. Or like four times. But enjoyed it! Well done!
A very good looking and well polished game that I found quite difficult. Maybe some more introduction to the mechanics would be helpful but are understandably not included due to time constraints. Good game overall.
Cool game! The art and audio mixed really well, made it very atmospheric for being so simple. Was happy for the walkthrough though, I couldn't for the life of me figure out what to do. Since the description is random and depending on whether you have your head or not, the hints aren't very intuitive and I got lost a lot lol. Didn't help that the map layout was so tricky, but I guess that was part of the aesthetic.
This surreal game is so beautiful in terms of graphics and music. I love the look of all those random items running around on legs. Good Job :)
Nice puzzle game, art's nice and and there're some fun ideas in here. had a bit of trouble figuring out the puzzles myself so i had to go and use the guide, but it's all in the name so i shoulda figured. good job, well done, and nicely on theme too.
Its very fun!
Super idea and neat execution. The music fits the game well and the art is pretty coherent. It was a bit hard to figure out what to do but I guess it's the whole point of the game. Nice entry!
This was... different. Loved the artstyke, and nice choice of audio. I didn't managed to beat it, and chose not to go for the walkthrough, since I may give it a go later :-)
Well done and thanks for sharing.
Nice game!
I love the art and sound and puzzles and humour - like Duck Game meets Yume Nikki - bonkers!
I like the concept of using things as your head; Legman is a fun character. I really dig the surreal and slightly unsettling vibe that the whole game has. The pixel art is really clean too. I think there's a ton of potential here.
However, I have to be a little bit hard on it from a game design perspective. I don't think I *ever* would have beaten the game without the walkthrough - it felt like one of those really old point and click adventure games in that sense. The very first line of the walkthrough had me thinking "how was I supposed to figure any of that out?" Some design decisions made parts harder to figure out than they maybe should've been. The confusing, non-linear, mazelike doors meant that just getting around was challenging, which somewhat discouraged experimenting with item combinations in other rooms since it was a hassle to navigate. Another example is that "using" the light plant doesn't seem to visibly *do* anything, and just *having* it seems like it should be enough to explore the dark room... but you still have to use it? I wasn't even sure what it did, exactly, but I got the key.
Anyway, still a solid entry with a really great aesthetic. Good work.
@empty-set Thank you for such a detailed review!
We also think the puzzles turned out to be very difficult because we came up with them very quickly, and while testing the game, the tester also said that it was very difficult to complete the game without prompts. There was not much time left, so we managed to fix all the bugs we found so that the game worked stably and the project was pleasant to play, but if we started simplifying the puzzles in the game, it would lead to a few more bugs, so we left everything as it is.
For me the best quality of this game is the aesthetic, great pixel art and the mood is unique. Although I liked the game, I couldn't figure out what to do many times and I had to see the walkthrough. It's a challening game but it felt a bit off. Overall good game!
Nice little game. Really cool aesthetic and pixel art. The puzzles though, weren't that difficult, but they just didn't make much sense. I definitely wouldn't have been able to get through the game, without the walkthrough. Overall though, it was an enjoyable experience.
Very cool, I really liked the music, art, and sound. The confusing doors was a nice touch, the absurdity of the head-switching was charming, and the puzzles were over my head. I got to the use of seeds on my own, but not the secondary function of that interaction, so I resorted to the walkthrough for most of the game.
That said, I enjoyed interacting with everything and had fun just wandering around trying everything out. Nice work!
