LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Rock of Ages by nervous-composers 2020-10-07T16:58:01Z

The animations was great and, compared a lot of other games, the character really is stuck in a loop.

Cat's Delivery Service by uchiro 2020-10-06T10:27:56Z

Nice approach to the theme with a surprisingly deep and melancholic narrative.

Ouroboros Chess by IkigaiSeitetsu 2020-10-07T13:07:29Z

Really enjoyed playing this with someone, although we may have found some optimal strategies. The mythical hamsters are an interesting mechanic that make it an overall fun game that is well balanced, especially given the small time frame.

Beat the Loop by PaulLyaudet 2020-10-06T13:39:48Z

I like the idea of the evolving track, it adds a lot to this style of game and increased strategy in deciding which route is worth taking. With a bit more polish and smoother track lines, this could be a very fun game!

The Flying Tree by DavidPeterWorks 2020-10-06T09:18:49Z

Truly beautiful game although the gameplay seems to be largely trial and error but that may be what you were going for. Either way, I enjoyed it.

The Machine in the Woods by digital bacon 2020-10-07T16:52:59Z

I like the premise and the backstory. I think it could be fleshed out to become something very interesting.

Deep Winter by Copito 2020-10-07T12:08:39Z

As everyone says, the art is absolutely beautiful and I really enjoyed the combat.

Regguman by NinjaCatz 2020-10-07T14:44:44Z

A very good looking and well polished game that I found quite difficult. Maybe some more introduction to the mechanics would be helpful but are understandably not included due to time constraints. Good game overall.

CodeRunner by Nairi 2020-10-06T09:10:25Z

A really good implementation of a programming loop as the basis for a game. I enjoyed how it looked like I was travelling through the lines of code that make up the game but it was a little bit annoying that you could very easily get surrounded by enemies as they could travel through walls. Well done on a good game!

One Minute Army by Bob174 2020-10-07T12:32:12Z

Very well made game with great artwork. The mechanics are intuitive and the difficulty ramps up well. Congratulations on an incredible piece of work!

Loop of Death by Ryano 2020-10-07T11:47:41Z

Although the bike feels a little bit unresponsive and the audio keeps playing in the game over screen, you have still made a game that is worth playing for a while to try to get a high score. Well done!

The Serpent of Scorhill by Jofish 2020-10-07T17:20:32Z

It's an interesting and novel take on the classic game of snake that I think works quite well and is fairly enjoyable.

Tower Knight by AppoxGames 2020-10-06T10:13:17Z

A fun game once you get a hang of it that's actually gets quite difficult and requires some strategy. Really enjoyed it!

12 Space Diamonds by José Bonilla 2020-10-07T16:13:23Z

As others have said, the controls are a little tough to use and also I found it hard to read the quadrants when I was going fast so I kept getting lost and needing to stop. It does look good though and the particles and sound effects add a lot to the experience.

Nice game with some really good looking artwork.

RESCUE ATTEMPT #[REDACTED] by Junebug 2020-10-07T16:31:58Z

Great looking game with really enjoyable sounds and gameplay. The only issues I had were very minor: I found that the enemies spawning on 1 or 2 wide pillars were a little annoying and slowed down the pace of the game (but that might just be me), and when the big gun shoots backwards the sprite is the wrong way round. Overall probably the best game I have played so far from this jam.

Maze Service by Oshawatt123 2020-10-07T16:03:08Z

A really interesting and fun mechanic for a game although I did struggle coming up with the right words to unlock the maze, but I guess that's part of the fun. Very impressive game!

A Year by BjornStahl 2020-10-07T17:39:33Z

I really enjoyed playing through and I was surprised by the apparent depth to the mechanics and overall game. Maybe some buttons to allow for small adjustments to the sliders would be helpful but overall, a good game.

30 seconds to escape by Kassymov Iran 2020-10-07T11:42:19Z

Enjoyable game with some nice pixel art. I did find the controls a bit annoying, especially as they aren't described anywhere and figuring out how to open each door took a bit of trial and error. That being said, I did enjoy it!

Link the Fire by MeowMeowLitClub 2020-10-07T16:44:38Z

I really enjoyed playing this game. It was quite relaxing with the music and beautiful pixel art. The overall theme that everyone has a small part to play is one that I think is explored really well.

No Room For Mistake by Jack I 2020-10-07T11:54:27Z

It is fun once you learn the levels and can speed through the levels although I'm not a fan of the inconsistent start where some levels begin on a platform and others start with a drop, slowing down the momentum of the game. However, that's a minor grievance and it's still a fun little game.

Crows of Wraeth by Roikku 2020-10-07T15:50:27Z

Really good use of the art style and of the atmosphere. The implementation of the element system is bit complex for my liking and makes it hard to react to enemies that pop up. Apart from, that it was an enjoyable experience.

Unknown Factory by ShootingStaa 2020-10-07T15:30:43Z

Really good looking game but the fact that enemies and obstacles can spawn directly in front of the character and turn the game from a strategy game to a reaction test. That may just be me, though and the rest of the game was well made.
