Great work! I love abstract arty games like this. It might have been cool if ejecting the pieces (memories?) gave you more time, or if maybe you could build up bigger and bigger. But even as-is, it was a great meditative piece. Nice job again.
I love the mood and the music. Very innovative! A little tutorial or some explanations would be good to understand the game quicker. Great job!
it took me a while to realize that the point of the game was to attach as many things to yourself as possible... i think. in the first few rounds, i didn't see the timer bar on top, so i had trouble understanding why the game was ending -- i wonder if that's a bug. love the sounds and music in this, they add so much. as well as the moody text you get on the death screen. great game!!
This game is so art heavy :two_hearts: I have never played an art installation before, but I realy like it. This opend my mind into something new and exciting to explore. Thanks, I realy enjoyed this!
Was not 100% on what I was supposed to be doing at the start, but enjoyed figuring it out. A lovely experience.
Very deep. Existential, with a touch of introspection. I like games that make me feel smart, and I think that does that really well. It's also easy to pick up and play, if not immediately understand. There's a lot of depth to it (clever use of the theme, there!) on a meaning/intention level, and the minimalist art is both effective and satisfying, while cleverly letting you stay within the scope of a 48-hour gamejam. Really good job.
For such a simple art style, I actually found the game very pretty. Good feelings all around and it made a lot more sense after reading the entire description. The only constructive thing I can think of to say is that the game might benefit with a longer timer. This type of abstract game benefits a lot from the player drawing their own conclusions and that might be easier to do if they had more time to play around and experiment. Great job!
I love the in game texts
Nice and simple! Even if the purpose of the game is not explained. Not every time it has to be, nor all games need a goal.
I kind of wanted this to be an open-ended sandbox experience! Having a score and gameover screen very quickly interrupt this poetic concept felt out of place to me. Like an art piece at a museum or gallery, you should be allowed to experience it at your own pace. I think you were 100% safe to lean into making "art" instead of a "game" here :) Very nice work!!
I picked up the idea of what to do, but I kept wanting to grow bigger. Too much agario, I suppose. I didn't realize the level was over so quickly at first, but it made the experience better for being so short lived. An interesting concept, indeed.
Like a lot the concept. It can be digged a bit. I like that you can interpret the meaning of the game. Maybe you should not have explained it on this page, it's also nice to keep mystery. I feel like you could have let away the score. A screenshot of the end of the game might be a better score than numbers.
Also, the sentence appearing could have been generated from the various geometries the player gathers. It could really go well in the idea of creating a memory.
It's a wonderful game idea. I'm glad I played it. Thank you for making it.
I love this!
Would be cool if there was more time / if there was some (maybe opaque (or is there and I just missed it)) way to get more time. Othewrise really nice concept!
Hello, I loved the idea and music. Music was really relaxing, so was gameplay. I would love to have more time to explore the mechanics properly, I think I didn't grasp it fully :/
wonderful game and worth to play.
A very interesting concept. The game over screen is a bit to quick to appear. Very good job !
I just want to say that this artistic expression is almost beyond my understanding of the scope of art and games, it's really great, hit the highest score they have played so far, it's really special.
I never thought triangles and squares would make me feel emotional. But it did. I really like the way you set the atmosphere, and the one-liners at the game over scene really drove it home. One little nit I have to pick is that I didn't quite grasp on how to survive longer, and maybe a short intro sequence would have made it a bit better. Other than that, great work!
A strange yet emotional journey. I enjoyed the game much more after reading all of your additional supporting text. Quite abstract, but also beautiful :)
Wow, this was really interesting! A very cool and unique take on the theme. The graphics and the audio really worked together nicely to create the emotional feeling. Very polished game overall. Great entry!
Looking forward to the devlog btw! Been subscribed for a long time.
I love seing weird concepts such as this. This is a really artistic and abstract representation of the theme and I loved it!
I loved how you managed to tell a story with very simple and seemingly random events, a yellow circle grabbed a polygon in front of me, and suddently it became a lost opportunity that someone else took in front of me. It gives a lot of room to interpretation and metaphors, this is really clever.
Really great job, thank you!
I can only say that I love it too much.
Ok. It was really interesting to play with. Nice metaphor was build in the gameplay and the short sessions + score encouraged to play again and again. Job well done. My only problem was that, I didn't get how the controls works from the start.
I'd really love to see more games like this in game jams. You got some really strong inspirations and your writting is really powerfull. Such a nice entry :)
well done - Loved the music
Hello. I came for the Kandinsky artwork - and I tried your project. It is a fun little casual game with a very pleasant mood. I liked this ethereal background music - really quiet. The main gameplay is fun for a while. An interesting compo entry. However I noticed a big memory bug on your WebGL project. I took a screenshot so as to help you fixing it. I hope that it helps ++

I really like the Music and mood this Game brings.
This was really nice! A very reflective, abstract experience accompanied by great tastes in mood and audio design! :D
ok, thats a very conceptual game. The atmosphere that you bring with the music is amazing, very chill and calm, matching with the also very good art! Congrats =)
I can get behind conceptual games like these.

I've always been pre-disposed to believe that games with .io on its title are short competitive multiplayer experiences with not much to them, but when I saw your post, I wanted to believe this would be something special. And oh boy it was.
"A minimalistic abstract art compo game" does sound like a bunch of buzzwords, but I'd say they'd be very justified for this project. The game really feels like just a weird clunky experience if you go blindly to it without considering the concept that it's representing. Yet, I was amazed that you actually gave things a purpose and a reason, which all made perfect sense within the context of the interpretation. The walls, the accidents, it all really contributed to the experience. Just the idea that there were other circles that already had advantages got me thinking.
This game has a lot of intrinsic value to it. While it does have that highscore factor, it still feels more like a relaxing experience to think and contemplate about rather than a button mashing competitive fest. These experiments are always a pleasant surprise in Ludum Dares. Way to go! :whale:
Right at the first glance, I realized that you were inspired by Kandinsky. Music fits. Game concept is fresh and innovative
