Simple but can be difficult reaching a high score. Reminds me of *Celeste* and *Snake*. It also inspired me that a pacman version would be viable?

I like the music and retro style. But my fingers start aching in few minutes. You really should add a "hold to keep moving" function as a fix.
Control is a a little weird, it jumps at a relatively slow speed but falls very quick. Hard to climb 1 block high. Fail = Replay as a penalty is too heavy. You should probably make player lose some loops instead of kill (like Sonic?) or base on health point when touching the saws. Though I don't know what to do for the chasing laser. Theme seems irrelevant from the jam's perspective. But the level design is pretty good. I didn't expect almost every next puzzle. And having to solve dozens of puzzles in time reminds me of WarioWare.
@steffo I know I can hold up (I read the description), it's just feel werid comparing to other well-known platformers... Yep because of the difficulty I didn' make it to the later part of the game :P . I will try with the cheat later.
Decent platformer, would be better if with check points. I notice that after a small hit with the eagle it becomes half transparent, but next hit it's opacue again. Maybe the animation didn't reset right when state change?
BTW, it looks more like a normal rat rather than a hamster. :joy:

My fault. I indeed forgot to publish the page. It's my first time joining a ldjam and make a playable game, and was in a hurry to catch the train. Didn't got time to have enough thoughts on avoiding mistakes when uploading the game. Thank you guys for the reminding. It should be available publicly now. Game page descriptions will be add when I arrive at home (about 10 hours later).
@sampadders Thank you! The enemy AI was simply set to attack you when close enough to it. I should have made it less aggressive..
@tjm Thanks, I may have been too strict about the sprite animation size, all of theme are 16x16 pixels, leaving few space for attackinr part... When testing I am also feeling it's not intuitive if the attack will hit. Next time I will set up with a larger canvas, and make sprite and collision sync better.
@judgezedd @athryell @hadryel @arzi @jeremy-ryan Thank you guys, really appreciate it.
I acutually have similar ideas before the jam, to mock the overwhelming "paying as gameplay" games in my country. But I'm more a dreamer than a doer. Most of my projects died at scaffolding. When LD started and the theme was out, I almost didn't come up with other ideas. I'd like to thank LD that it gave me a chance and motivation to finally be able to finish one.
As for the damage counter, I should have made a text label indicating how many times you have upgraded. But after finishing store functions, I still didn't have a start-to-end gameplay. I was busy catching the deadline and testing the game, then I just forgot it. I hardly had a clear mind at that moment (LD ends at 6:00 a.m. here). And I have considered a second monster. I even prepared sprites for it (A ranged purple slime). But got no time to implement it. I really need to practice more at coding and workflow. :P
I like the voxel art and animation. The game gives me a feeling it's rather polished.
The drawing are pretty good. The scary music suits well for an unknown dangerous alien star atmosphere. But the gameplay seems to be repetitive. (Well, for this theme, every game is more or less repetitive.) In general, it's a nice cute little game.
Nice graphics and audio. But the puzzles are kind of obscure. The last puzzle is very difficult at stopping the ball from moving, Maybe you should increase frictions, or the box's mass (if it means to stop the ball). And making it easier to jump over one object would be better.
I really enjoy it. Nice work. (Though I often have the gun shoot myself if I click too fast.)
Neat platformer. The auto walking forward do add some difficutlty to the game...
