Nice Game my friend i liked mouse games :D

dreamscale 2020-10-05 21:45

Cute game! The music was really catchy and the effects are nice. I think there needs to be some warning on the color changes though, it's easy to get screwed because the color changed right before you kill an enemy.

kitiliisu 2020-10-07 18:11

Very addicting! I love, love, love the effects, they're so cool, and the music is such a vibe. Hitting enemies felt really satisfying. It is very hard though and I did not manage to beat it, but I still had a good time. Very nice idea.

coderaurus 2020-10-08 14:26

Nice game. The music is catchy and fits the rest of the game well. Bright colors work very well here. The game gets hard pretty quickly, I wasn't able to finish it. Since the colors are high contrast and fast, I was having trouble recognizing brown and white ones. I feel it was straining my eyes quite a lot as well.

As mentioned before me, some sort of indication of color swap (player or enemy) would be neat. I had some really unlucky situations where either one changed all of a sudden. I like that there is the five second frequency, but I personally won't be able to keep track of that when focusing intently on everything happening on the screen.

Found a bug: the cursor is lost visually if you go to menu after starting to play. Encountered this one when alt-tabbing and tested without it.

Nice little game, maybe a bit too challenging. Hitting a single wrong-colored enemy seems to undo all your progress. I would make the success/failure ratio closer to 1:1.

hidjy 2020-10-10 08:15

Nice graphics, actually !

raiponz 2020-10-10 08:22

The game is nice with a good feeling and nice feedback. the ambiance and is catchy and make me keep playing whereas the win condition is unclear and color swap are not warned and make me did a lot of mistake.

humnyn 2020-10-10 19:57

It's a very fun idea but yea it could really use some balancing. The colours changing without indication is kind of a bad idea for good player experience, I think with everything else going on in the screen, you could settle for just the player changing colour and still have it be pretty difficult. Even then you might wanna implement some visible/audible timer, because as someone said you can't really keep that in your head while playing.

Game itself plays well though, and the graphics and audio complement each-other nicely! Just wish I could win too

sophiemae0 2020-10-10 20:12

Other than the the unclear win condition this was a fun game! I really enjoyed the warp effect when you destroy an enemy, it was super satisfying. And the enemies were all so funky! Good job :)

marcus-otterstrom 2020-10-10 20:16

This game has a really good feel, the music fits very well with the aesthetics and the gameplay is satisfying. Like others have mentioned it really lacks an indication of when colors are about to change, especially of the enemies. It's really the only pain point of the game in my opinion, but it's a pretty big one as it makes the player feel out of control, making gameplay frustrating after a while.

I like that you took the time to implement a dynamic difficulty, this works really well in the beginning and I think it's a really good feature. But after ~30 seconds or so it reaches the peak difficulty and never goes down again. Perhaps it could be related to your current progress in the progress bar so that the difficulty goes down after the progress is reset?

It's a fun and good game though, the only thing missing is an indicator of when the colors are about to change on the player, and perhaps never change colors of enemies (or add an indicator of when that is about to happen too) for it to be a *very* fun and good game

Nice mood and music, good job!

salier 2020-10-11 12:47

A good game with a very good soud, visual effects and visual esthetic. A few problems difficulty-wise as i just don't see myself reaching the end of the bar, not even half. I feel like there is a problem with how the game is stepping up the difficulty so quickly and with how the bar just reset at any error. The ennemies shouldn't change color randomly or at least without the player being able to tell it's about to happen. And lastly it needs more clues for when the player change color, i personnaly look at the right of the screen to react for incoming ennemies while keeping the player to the left so i missed it often. Particularly on color change from brown to white and vice versa.

Seeing how you mentionned puting this game on a mobile platform, if you're thinking about switching the mouse to touch-screen, player-color change is gonna need a lot more clues as the player-character itself would often be hidden behind the finger of the player. A very solid entry in all cases!

knatt 2020-10-11 13:09

Great game!

I loved the music, The graphics we're a little crude but they worked for the game, and it was easy to pick up.

Some points of contention I see from other players are the color change. I also found it frustraiting when I would go to destroy something, only for the color to change and restart ALL MY PROGRESS! An audio que for when the colors change might help aliviate it.

lastly, Id choose a different color than Tan if you have white. At times when it was most chaotic I found it hard to differentiate between the two. Maybe green?

@andrea-ancona Thanks for playing! :smile:

peace-of-cake-games 2020-10-11 17:45

Nicely done! The gameplay was very smooth and fast and challenged my touchpad abilities.

pierrens 2020-10-11 17:53

Really nice aesthetics, and a fun difficult game! :)

neowedge 2020-10-11 17:59

I love the art and the mechanic, but it's very difficult, because when you fail, your progress is reseted, but the difficulty continues growing. I would prefer to die and start again (or not to lose all the progress). Anyway, is very addictive and solid game, congrats!

wolfier 2020-10-11 18:05

I think I really only have two criticisms

The first one is that enemies shouldn't change colors, or at least not do it without warning.

The second one is that if you are going to change the players color, you should have the background match the players color so its easier to get that information. Also some warning would be nice.

Really like the music choice, and the sound. The gameplay is fun if a little unfair due to the things above The minimalist art is actually really nice to look at.

I don't think it was necessary to tell the player how to win, since its easy to figure out but that could just be me.

Upon further analysis I did notice that the stars in the background do match your colors, but its easy to miss. Also the game refused to full screen so I couldn't tell what my score was, not sure why.

masaru 2020-10-11 18:05

Really cool music, graphics and concept. Colour-shmup have been done before (Ikaruga, Radiant Silvergun...), I don't remember one where you didn't have control over your own colour : this control is at the heart of strategy in both of those, and its something I missed in your game, being able to cycle with left and right click would have helped a lot. Also, tan / white wasn't a good idea, three colours was good enough in itself.

Outside of those two, it's an insanely good entry. GG !

simplepotential 2020-10-11 18:14

I didn't manage to beat it but good mechanics, music, and visuals. I liked it

gabriel-dias-oliveira-de-almeida 2020-10-11 19:01

Loved the art style!

richard-ortiz 2020-10-11 19:40

Hi God Colo,

Had a lot of fun with your game. Great "endless runner" type of game. The art was simple but good, and it was easy to start playing right away. Great music, sfx, and really stuck to the theme. My one criticism is it was not very clear how to beat the game. I understood that I needed to collide with shapes that matched my color, and that seemed to feed a bar that I am assuming I need to fill to win, but the color change and the negative points hitting other colors kept me from filling the bar up. I think some fine-tuning on the "damage" and you will be in business. Other than that, I really like it.

matheuscampos2910 2020-10-11 21:53

Please upgrade the game in the future, great choice of the soundtracks that fits perfectly to the game. The illusion of movement it's awesome. Nice game everybody. I really enjoyed to play. Good Luck.

guimoliveira 2020-10-14 17:49

Nice game! :)
