I was really looking forward to seeing some mobius strip shenanigans, and this is the first one I've seen. The movement is well implemented, the pacing is slower but that seems to go with the rest of the game feel. I would've had no idea how to make a game out of this particular idea, well done!
Lovely game! You have nailed the calm and zenlike mood of this robot still doing its job 721 years after the last guest. I really the music lent a lot to the atmosphere, it was well done. I am also impressed by the mobius strip, I thought about trying to use one but had no idea how to start to bull it off, and you did it very well, even keeping gravity understandable enough to allow for jumping. Impressive!

I loved the mood you've created in the game. Your use of music and assets has created a really nice experience!
I found it difficult to find the last window to clean. I mean, I guess I shouldn't worry given the obvious needlessness of it all  Nice touch with the 'last visitor' date
Cool :sunglasses::thumbsup:

Very nice and soothing game. I like the concept and graphics. The way robot flips sides is great. Wonderful job!

I started with a mobius strip idea, but gave up after the first day because I just couldn't get the player from not falling off when going past a certain angle. Well done! This is amazing given the time we had!
Thanks everyone for the kind reviews :D
I did the main work on Saturday and Sunday as I had uni on Monday, but before the jam finished I managed to fix a lot of bugs and change some minor mechanics, I removed the 5th window as it was way too hard to find! and added an options menu and controls button in the pause menu :)
Nice! I really enjoyed the mood. If you intend to keep developing this, what types of visuals would you use afterwards? Similar to what is being used, but more polished? Post-processing would help a lot with it, too.
Oh, the impatient part of me wanted to go faster than Shift does at the moment, but maybe making it faster would ruin the mood (?).
Great concept!
@lucaskawano originally shift made you go a lot faster, there was a time in early development where I considered making this a racing game :joy: but the reason that I slowed down the shift speed is that if you jumped towards the edge with shift on and kept driving forwards you would actually reach escape velocity and be able to escape the mobius!
I messed around a lot with the pull towards the mobius but that just made it worse if the gravity was too high then you would get a sling shot effect and get more speed, but if it was too low you could escape naturally, I decided it would be best for the game and the mood if I slowed it down to the point it is at now ♥
also if I do develop it I would like to make the ship look a bit nicer, though I'm just a coding uni student with some light 3D modelling background from college no I would have no idea what I'm doing :joy:

Loved it! Great take on the theme, the music was harmonious and the game very relaxing. With a few extra tasks this would be lovely time killer. Great job!
The game looks great! The music and the game overall looked pretty calm and chilling. There was one bug that made it so you fell out of bounds. Here it is:hkguh.PNG Rest of the game is fine.

@witekwitek you have completed the secret objective to escape the loop :joy: Yeah with the nature of how the car interacts with the loop I know that there's a very small chance you fall off the mobius, I was going to make some hit boxes outside that teleport you back to the starting platform, but I ran out of time and they messed with the raycast that searches for colliders for the gravity direction

hehe i was also going to make a mobius strip game, but ended up doing it on an island. glad someone did. i kinda fell off the möbius strip, oh well. very nice atmosphere and nice details like the little water holder. i like the dome you start in too. good job.
Nice but too slow.
Absolutely wonderful. Incredibly atmospheric. It was a great little meditation. It took me a few revolutions to find the charging station again, but it was overall a very wonderful experience.

I love the look of this game, and it's really relaxing. The dirty windows were a little difficult to find, and sadly I fell off the mobius before I found the last one. Love you profile pic, too.

Pretty cute game, really liked the mood and loved the music, only thing that annoyed me a little was the camera, the vision when going uphill was a little odd sometimes. Nice job on the game!

Sweet and relaxing game. The simplicity worked well for the mood, and the music along with the slow-paced gameplay was very atmospheric. For this big area here isn't a lot of content though, so slowly zooming 'round and 'round looking for the one thing missing for your tasks got a bit tedious. Some guidance would've helped, maybe a minimap or arrow? Or just moving the camera around would've been nice too. :)
@humnyn I was going to add some arrows or even have a help button that high lights your objectives, I kinda failed at making a world place UI that would float above tasks as I could never get it to look at the camera without getting skewed in some way
and I ran out of time with the outline idea, My last push of the game added the options menu which I had originally planned to contain the help button which would activate the highlight, but due to the way I had done everything prior it wasn't something I could of finished in the time remaining
Really everyone enjoys it though! This is my real first finished game so getting all this great feedback is really pushing me to continue developing! ♥

The models are simple but effective. I think maybe more gameplay would be nice. Really good though.

Beautiful game. I liked! :)

Very innovative use of the theme, constraining movement to the mobius strip is very impressive. This was a very chill game and was very calming to play. Much enjoyed :) I would say maybe you could make the objectives for doing a lap of the loop more obvious that would be one suggestion?
I really had fun with it! I am REALLY curious how you got your gravity to work. I would like to see multiple days with different activities.
@charlie-hall I got the concept when I was thinking about loops, I remembered the Mobius strip was a type of loop and also know of the Spaceship Mobius from a book series I really enjoy.
The gravity actually only took about an hour to do, I looked around online and found that a form had been working with walking on walls by casting a ray cast from the player downwards, and then rotating you towards it.
I tinkered around with the code a bit and managed to get it working really quickly, only had to fix a few bugs as I worked more on the project such as jumping over hit boxes that where not tagged as ground, the raycast returned as not above ground and the code was trying to return my rotation back to the up rotation but using the world space instead of local, after I fixed those kind of bugs it was smooth sailing (apart from when you fall through the Mobius but that's rare :joy: )
the code I used as a base line for the gravity system can be found here: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/155907/basic-movement-walking-on-walls.html
Really chill and fun game, super impressive for one person team! The gravity effect is really well done!
Just the little bit of text in the top left was some nice world building. Really nice, needed something chill like this to end the day on.
I really liked the chill mood and it was a great use of the theme. The visuals were pretty, nice game.
So relaxing, I love it

Really cool game but I never found the last dirty window.
really beautiful game. Didn't manage to find all the dirty windows though.

Hi !
A rather relaxing game ! :) The goal are quite clear in my opinion. One things: the UI did not work well in little screen size.
Such a nice atmosphere you created, I love it. I freaked out when i realized you used a möbius strip as planet model. The music really fits the game and calms you down. I just sometimes felt a little bit lost, because the Loop had a lack of recognizable points like decoration, would be cool if there were more days and each day the space loop gets more populated, but I guess you hadn't enough time for that.
Part of me was soothed with the calmness and the other wanted to speed up and fall into a void 😅 I liked it lots though! Keep it up :)
