LD46 — Keep it alive

Its Adventure by recursor 2020-04-23T18:26:37Z

I really like the concept and its very well scoped for the time frame. I also now know that my vocabulary is rather limited when it comes to 'it' words. I like the restriction of only being able to use a word once, I ended up finding some pixel perfect ways to bridge a gap with the word I already had so not to waste another, and moving while holding the stomps up with the mouse felt really good.

Unfortunately I got stuck on one of the levels where it seemed like the screen should have moved to another panel, or just moved along with my character, bit it didn't so I wasn't able to see where I was going :/ The level with spikes in the center, 3 stops along the top and a 4th just on the right side transitioning to the next room.

Keep It Undead by pcmaster 2020-04-21T19:31:52Z

Nice simplistic art style, makes everything very easy to parse as you play. The multi select is a game changer. Having the characters wander off in a random direction after they reach their destination was a bit frustrating but if they didn't then maybe it would be a bit too easy? Overall nice work!

Heartbreaking by mAnimal 2020-04-23T20:36:55Z

Really nice mechanic well executed in the time! Always love seeing Gamemaker games in the mix. Really enjoyed playing it.

My First LD - Choosy! by Lorne 2020-05-09T14:56:48Z

Really nice scope, simple and well executed! I enjoyed it :)

Trending Beasts by Siuler LM 2020-04-21T19:10:44Z

Interesting concept but definitely needed some more gameplay options, and some risk/reward choices. It seemed like any time I clicked my popularity would always go up so there wasn't much to think about.

Alien Inquisitor by bsdrago 2020-04-21T18:27:57Z

I liked how new stats became available as your communication improved, but as others said it became a little easy to find out which options where positive and just click those over and over. Cool idea, keep it up!

Together by Ulcius 2020-04-23T19:54:21Z

The writing was a little on the nose, I'm pretty sure more people would pick none of the bad options every time to it loses any sense of realism, but there's genuinely some nice stuff done on the gameplay side. I really liked the time slowing on the second silence especially, would've been a lot more powerful if there wasn't text directly underneath it explaining what was happening! Maybe if the time slowed down gradually over the 30 seconds the player would naturally feel the tension instead. Seems like a lot of work done in a weekend, well done!

Ice Light by ThornDuck 2020-04-21T21:11:57Z

Really nice subtle lighting effects which I appreciate.

to Leave by 5imon 2020-04-21T18:56:56Z

Definitely took me a couple minutes to understand that the first stage didn't involve just the watery platforms, but once I understood what was happening I really loved it. When the right tracks combine it genuinely made me smile. Brilliant music, great concept, simple and clean execution.

SheepShot by RoofloorWall 2020-04-23T19:36:48Z

Honestly it's a pretty good aim trainer style game, the theme makes it more interesting than just shooting a target. Audio on the gun was piercing, but the art and aesthetic was pretty nice!

The Last Flower by Unimaginable_Code_Studios 2020-04-23T20:47:41Z

Enjoyed it, the difficulty scaled pretty quickly which made it fun to pick it up! Keep on making :)

Gaia - Keep It Alive by Hereward 2020-04-23T18:57:28Z

I kept it alive! Really cool, performance was a little low but I've got a good machine so I assume the browser's resources are artificially restricted somehow. It did devolve into just spamming hot or cold stuff fairly quickly so the last 1500 years were very repetitive. With a few more properties for you to control it could be a really interesting little experience :)

May2020-Attack Of The Karens by Daniel Whittaker 2020-04-21T19:54:37Z

A joyous experience that really challenged my perception of the media

Cacophony: The Ballad of the Celestial Goblin-King by Renikor 2020-04-21T20:06:57Z

I had no idea I had a sword for ages! Once I equipped it the game made a lot more sense. Looks like there's a good balance of combat and resource management, a nice range of enemies, levels and background art, but some smoother movement or animation would've gone a long way.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Loop Factory by Nitero 2020-10-07T19:51:36Z

Good puzzle design, the last one had me going for a while. Really nice scope and concept, re-using the arrows you're given at the start and trying to reach the end with the fewest modifications possible. Great job!

It goes on and on and on Dungeon by FancyReckless 2020-10-07T19:31:42Z

Really like the idea, I did seem to end the final few puzzles with 'sweep the whole row and go down one' but the concept is really nice. Good scope, nice simple art that gets the point across, really enjoyed it.

ENILEMIT by Wxzuir 2020-10-07T16:57:37Z

I ended up playing through to the end because the concept is quite fun. I was pretty confused for the majority of the time I was playing but I think that's half the charm. The mechanics worked as expected, though it felt like the reverse button didn't work 100% of the time, and I had to stop and think about some of the solutions which was good. Nice little game with a good scope, well done.

Hotel Mobi by TheCreator 2020-10-07T19:22:14Z

Just the little bit of text in the top left was some nice world building. Really nice, needed something chill like this to end the day on.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

The Space Between Us by LaneDavis 2021-04-28T20:09:51Z

Great game, all of you make a really good team to produce something like this in such a small time. The gameplay loop was tight and each mini-game was simple, worked well, was easy to digest in a small time, and well presented. Atmosphere, art and sound was great, and I loved the monologue at the end. Thanks for the fun, look forward to your future entries.

DeepO by Rodrysson 2021-04-28T19:36:14Z

Really nice neat game, focused and well executed. Lovely atmosphere, good controls and nice gameplay puzzles. Enjoyed it a lot.

LD55 — Summoning

Tower Of Madness by Chiara Sanviti 2024-04-16T19:06:50Z

The UI was stretched or unreadable on the WebGl version for me when in the window, and off the screen when I made it fullscreen because of the wide aspect ratio I have. The concept looks really cool though and love the art style.

Dicing with the Undead by picttarge 2024-04-16T18:24:33Z

I really liked this, the loop was cool defending while trying to spread your reach and upgrade your dice and slots. The visuals were clean and in a nice style also. It was definitely tough to understand what to do at the start, even with the tutorial elements, but you figure it out. It could be cool if dice auto-filled the highest slots possible, unless there was ever a reason why you wouldn't want to do so? I has a couple instances where a unit wasn't unselected correctly when I clicked a new one and it led to lots of the map being highlighted green when I knew I could only get 2 squares-ish. And unfortunately the game crashes before I got to seige the base :( an enemy attacked my units and when clicking Resolve it shut down with 'Failed to launch JVM'.

Sumo nin': Demolition Experts by Pandalk 2024-04-16T18:07:22Z

Fun concept and good effort for the jam! A couple points for improvement: - It felt like the camera/character roataion wasn't being scaled by deltaTime maybe? Sometimes it would spin super fast, sometimes slower, feeling like it was tied to framerate. - The selection menu after clicking would be a better user experience if the mouse started in the center each time, rather than keeping the same position where you last released it, as you can then flick a known distance. That more intuitive the controls feel the more I can get invested in seeing how quick I can destroy stuff! Also same for me, only S and D were working for movement.

One Hell of a Maid by ottos 2024-04-16T18:45:38Z

Love the concept and design, very cute and funny writing tone, but I got stuck or misunderstood something. I tidied everything I could see but the door wasn't opening so I had to give up. I feel like I've missed so much though after seeing all the menus and stats!

Furriend: A Paw-some Summoning Odyssey by pralista 2024-04-16T10:26:29Z

Puuuurfect little game, wonderful to play with a really tight loop and a cool set of mechanics that build on each other naturally. I got through all 20 levels while I should've been working.

Came and went by Cats in jackets 2024-04-16T18:31:20Z

Unfortunately I wasn't really able to play through this, the text boxes seem to be getting stuck half way off the screen so I can't click continue? You may want to try playing it with different screen sizes or aspect ratios to identify the issue!
