Super nice game. Music is banger. Art is really nice. Liked your idea on resource management and mini-evenets with changing room of monsters Thank you for submission!

bulba 2024-04-16 18:59

Helldiver 2 reference. NICE!

shardykins 2024-04-16 19:06

The UI was stretched or unreadable on the WebGl version for me when in the window, and off the screen when I made it fullscreen because of the wide aspect ratio I have. The concept looks really cool though and love the art style.

muhyrla 2024-04-16 19:08

super! It's fun to play, random room events, a reference to helldivers, arts, everything is great! good luck!

binaryspark 2024-04-16 19:08

Okay this was a really cool entry, I had a lot of fun with this. It's very goofy and bouncy, and maybe that's not a bad thing :) Very nice work on the sprites; this is a really polished and cool entry overall. Awesome!

figaro 2024-04-16 19:14

Very well done! Art music and gameplay were all amazing. I played through it a few times trying to get a higher score. Moving the monsters between rooms to maximize points gave a more active element than just crunching numbers and balancing blood vs chaos. Loved it

simonl 2024-04-16 19:18

I liked this entry a lot!

The graphics are awesome and look very polished. The music was nice. But the best aspect (and a surprise for me) was the game mechanics. I very much enjoyed it and played multiple rounds. It was an engaging puzzle with multiple dimensions. Blood, the demon count meter, the rooms, the random events, the key combinations and trying to find the perfect timespot where to stop buying monsters for the engine and sit back and generate blood for the end score.

I had a blast, and will send the link to my nephew. He would enjoy it as well.

Thanks for the entry!

aysa 2024-04-16 19:20

Hahahahaha I am ready to recommend this game to everyone to cheer up. Beautiful graphics. You've got a very decent game.

zubspace 2024-04-16 19:22

What a great game! The presentation is awesome! Nice graphics, animations, UI, great tutorial. I also like the music and sound effects. The gameplay is simple, but well balanced. At some points it's hectic, but then you also have time to watch your minions roam the house. And it matches the theme 100%.

Good job!

sniffbl4 2024-04-16 19:28

Good game! The visual is my respect. It's a little difficult to find the balance to go far, but that's the point of the game!

sobad 2024-04-16 19:28

This is good!

I like incremental games, and hard-capping the time limit to turn it into more of an efficiency race was a great idea. Also clever to have some units add chaos while others cleanse it, resulting in a bit more strategic thinking than just "click biggest guy as soon as available". Would've been nice to be able to swap demons by dropping one on another, otherwise you can't take advantage of the bonuses once the rooms are full. Or perhaps that's another small avenue of strategy!

I like the music a lot too! Couldn't find a credit for it though.

Well done overall :)

batisdark 2024-04-16 20:00

Didn't get past B rank, but I guess one lucky higher level demon scroll would've get me there. Had bunch of low demon ones at the end :(

Very polished game, nice art and it feels an plays like full and released project. Really nice!

bit-flipz 2024-04-16 21:24

I am always jealous of people who are able to make their games look so good. I didn't quite figure out the best strategy, but it was fun to play regardless!

winie 2024-04-16 21:34

@batisdark I only get D rank XD

srslie 2024-04-16 21:39

Art and music are spot on! Also had a tricky time reading the scrolls on the web version, even full screen, but love dragging the little guys around. Some of the control sets to summon them were a bit hard to read (too far left). Overall very polished and fun!

raimondosenpai 2024-04-16 21:43

Truly amazing game. Funny, enjoyable. Well polished, music is very engaging and the gameplay albeit simple does it job in keeping up the attention. The mechanif of the summons whit arrows also adds to the difficulty, but not much just enought to not let you away from the game. well done guys

sid37 2024-04-16 22:05

I really like the graphic style, very cute monsters!

locke8 2024-04-16 22:17

Really cool game, fantastic art, fun concept, very polished, overall a really nice entry.

argensis 2024-04-16 22:53

The art is nice, the music is enjoyable and I do like that the limited unit cap forces you to think about how to allocate stuff a bit more than your traditional endless idle game (and the time limit helps with that too)

kirass 2024-04-16 22:54

I like this game! You guys are great!

iellswo 2024-04-16 22:57

The Good: - quick, fun gameplay - a really good twist on the clicker/idle game genre, for one thing, it was anything but idle. - Love the art. - The balancing of both chaos and time made for a fun optimization challenge. - really liked the music and sound. - replayability.

The Not So Good: - Tutorial was a bit lacking I feel, there were a few mechanics I didn't understand until my second or third playthrough, but otherwise, really good!

Design notes: - The little bonuses on the side could be a little better marked, maybe a simple UI element that says "current effect" or "current buff" or something like that. - As said above the optimization loop is really fun. I am curious how much tweaking and balancing you did with the different demons.

TL;DR Fast paced gameplay, very busy clicker-like mechanics, good use of the theme, with some great art and aesthetic.

eric-nguyen 2024-04-16 23:17

Love the art, and the UI was very informative as well. Music was a certified hood classic lol. Great work!!a.png

james-greenleaf 2024-04-17 02:02

Excellent game. Loved the music, the graphics, and the mechanics! Played it a few times until I got a good rank. Screenshot 2024-04-16 220014.png

shaner421 2024-04-17 02:35

Loved the art style, and the gameplay was really awesome :) I kept messing up the arrow keys lol

wieczny 2024-04-17 12:17

Oh God, another great game in this LD! I really enjoyed idea, art and music. Gameplay is polished and fun! For me it's 5/5. I'm seriously suprised with this one.

coderaurus 2024-04-17 15:15

Overall very good entry! Aesthetically good looking, great up beat music. I feel the difficulty was well balanced for jam context, meaning I had to do a warmup round before actually getting a decent rank (and still leaving room for improvement).

I'm not sure if I was just slow but I didn't get to utilize the room bonuses that much in late game. And some of the early ones were for unavailable units.

Great job, easily one of my favorites this jam!

lyamgtt 2024-04-17 19:07

Definitely super funny and I love the art!

Capture d’écran 2024-04-17 à 21.06.11.png

jetty 2024-04-17 23:11

Probably my favorite game loop I've seen so far this jam. The music, visuals, and mechanics make for a feeling of immediacy and I always feel like I have something I could be optimizing while the time ticks down. Really fun, great job!

risminator 2024-04-18 21:52

Really fun, great and addicting short game. Game loop is simple yet has depth to maximizing the output. Got 137k blood and I'm certain there's more to get!

Art is funny and creative. Didn't encounter any bugs. I'm amazed that everything was done in such a short period!

Don't really know if there's anything to criticize. Maybe for further development it'd be great if you could always use arrow combinations without clicking, which could raise the skill ceiling (maximizing APM).

Thank you for your game, it's so inspirational and cool!

aaron-hart 2024-04-18 22:20

Damn this is very fun!! I really got into that. The characters are also cute and the presentation is perfect, well done :)

adam-gallina 2024-04-19 03:24

Really solid game loop! The visuals were really cute, and I like that the little scroll quests give you something extra to pay attention to so you weren't just waiting for blood to tick up, it made the 5 (?) minutes really fly by, and I was actually surprised at how low the timer was when I thought to check.

Overall really polished! My only real complaint is the 'rooms full' error was easy to miss, so I put in the code for a monster a few times thinking I'd messed it up before I actually noticed the pop up, overall incredibly well done!

Thank you so much for your comments and for sharing your result. You were excellent magicians! Screenshot 2024-04-19 220356.png

maymay 2024-04-20 17:15

Great game!! I felt like the amount of things that needed to be managed was just right. There was good replay value as well once I had a good grasp on the strategy. If I could give one suggestion, I wish that the rooms were labeled or had some kind of icon. It was hard to figure out which was the kitchen, for instance, while working under time pressure.

oatmilkmaid 2024-04-20 19:57

What an amazing submission. It really hooked me from the start. I loved everything about it, the art, music (banger), arrows for summoning. It really felt like a perfect balance of everything. Never really felt overwhelming nor too slow. Huge props to the group, one of my favs by far.

nsadie 2024-04-21 19:14

Really great art and some very clever ideas! I really enjoyed it, excellent game!

jiri-hysek 2024-04-21 20:25

Stunning graphics, great music and audio, and simple but very enjoyable gameplay! Great entry!

semenov 2024-04-22 06:53

Thank you. The drawing is simply magnificent! The gameplay is also interesting, the game has its own style and charm. Thanks for the video game.

frango 2024-04-22 17:43

Hi @ategon, we're glad to see you here! :D Of course you can, it's a pleasure for us. Thank you for playing our game in livestream!

ategon 2024-04-23 18:36

Did another run while recording the intermission and may have done slight overkill lol, will submit here to solidify my first

erlioniel 2024-04-25 19:39

Nice art and overall the theme execution is on point, it required some time to figure out possible combinations and how it works, but it's really nicely done game, guys

smidgens 2024-04-26 12:55

Incredibly well made game. The aesthetics are absolutely gorgeous and everything ties so well together. Whatever flaws there are have probably to do with difficulty balancing and niche usability quirks, but even in those areas the game is ridiculously polished. I would never judge a 3 day jam game harshly for imbalance or usability but damn, I barely have to think about that stuff with this one. I'd love to see this on Steam one day!

cristian-gurra 2024-04-30 17:13

I got a C at the first attempt and I immediately felt challenged to try once more! I thought I was doing well, but I quickly understood that there was room for improvement, since there is more depth than I had initially expected expected, and this makes the game extremely fun!

I managed to get an S (140005) in the end, that felt good. I like the dynamics generated by the blood/madness relation, it really made me think about how I could optimize my strategy to get an higher score. You did an amazing job at making a game that is truly entertaining in such a short time. I wish there was a reason to keep using the weaker monsters even in the later parts of the game, so my Pierchiccos would still have a reason to live :)

If you ever need someone to work on the audio for your next jam, you can always reach out to me :D

loki-drams 2024-05-02 10:22

Very good game ! good graphivs, and fun !

litle bug, one demon moved to a room, but the counter stay on the past room, so i have a room at 1 when nobody is in and 1 wich 0 when one demon is in, (and -1 when no demon). except this litle bug, very good job !

kanity 2024-05-02 17:05

* This music makes me wanna dance xD It's really good, oh my gosh! It seems you opted out of audio, so I wonder where's it from?

* The house is super pretty. It looks just the right amount rickety and charming!

* Overall atmosphere of the game, with visuals&music&animation feels so fun and light-hearted, really puts a smile on your face ^v^

* Opened in a browser and at first it went nicely fullscreen, but then I switched tabs to write down first impressions and now it's cut off on the sides ;-; Had to zoom out the page to fix the issue ^^'

* I like how there's arrow keys input for summoning, adds more interactivity, nice touch!

* Cute monster design ^^

* Credits are really cute too! Especially Donata, adorable x)

shasaur 2024-05-02 22:50

I love the upbeat music and the art style. The main mechanic is really fun too! It's not too hard (but I still died instantly the first time) but provides a good degree of challenge with the occasional hints and combo memorisation. The monsters have so much character too :)
