Super cool concept. I'm a sucker for anything pirate related, so this was right up my alley. The game also looks great. The simple art style works very well. Good use of loop. As pointed out in the instructions, the game crashes when you run out of food. You don't start with very much food and there's lots of enemies through which you can lose it, too. Perhaps less of an issue for better gamers than me, but it meant that my playthroughs were always very short and ended in crashes. I really enjoy the concept, the map, the art, and if you decide to further develop it and fix the issues, I would definitely play it again!

Beautiful art and very nice soundtrack, overall very chill experience, I had fun playing. Loosing all your rum (like 30 of it) to one pirate ship hurt my soul though.

I found the treasure!

Should I do something with it, or did I win already?
Very pleasant game. The art style fits well with the music, and it's fun to play.
A few nit-picks:
- I'd experiment with making the map a bit larger, and make the boats move a bit faster. The movement feels sluggish this way. - Loosing everything to a single pirate ship is a bit demoralizing, but I understand the logic behind it. - I had to install an autoclicker to buy enough cheese to trade for the treasure map.
Anyway, good job!
@kuro Thanks for the feedback. I just uploaded a new version: you can now hold down a transaction button to transfer a lot of items quickly. Right now there's no "you won!" message. The famous treasure is a last minute addition to give the player some kind of objective and end game. :D
Cool stylized graphics, great trading gameplay. Music fits the game perfectly. Nice job!
nice game, overall its a very calm experience

I really like the concept of this one, wish I had more time to play it. The balancing really does need a bit of work I think, but it was fun to explore and learn the world! Thanks for submitting it! -PomoTheDog
My cheese and Beerenburg scheme made this game too easy  Famous treasure in no time. I was also wondering if there is some kind of end game to reach but the comments already answered that question. I'm glad you introduced the holding button to buy more! Even with that one, buying 2500 food rations took a looooong time.
I love the color scheme and music fits the atmosphere very well. It's a charming game and a nice jam job
PS. Additional points for using Godot
I really like the cartoony art style of this game! Very chill experience!
Hi there ! Thanks for submitting your game to my stream (twitch.tv/drjavasaurus). I really liked the style of this game, very lighthearted. A rarity in these times ! Thank you. I really like the merchanting element ! It was really fun to figure out how to cheese the game and become a filthy rich sailing merchant :D

This was very cute and fun, i dig the art style! Having different moving traders is a neat idea from which I could see some fun min-maxing arise. I was a little disappointed the goal is mostly a grind objective but I had fun just exploring around :)
Love the art. Fun to play.
Didn't mind the "it's easy once you find the good trades" factor for a jam game, but it feels like it would need a major rethink and not just extension to make a post-jam version without that issue.

Cute art style and fun to play and figure out trading routes. I figured out you could buy rations for 1 coin and sell them for 2 coins to the trader (I was definitely happy about the "long-press to buy/sell many" feature). I'm impressed you made this in such little time.

Really enjoyed splashing around as a little vanilla sailor trying to find the best deals, you know it's a good game when you get excited about trading one(1) food for one(1) money. Great concept and execution, I only wish there were some more variation. :) As others pointed out, an end-screen would've been nice to avoid some confusion. But adding the treasure was definitely a wise decision!
I exploited the system and ruined the economy of this game lol I guess those monks looooove beerenburg!

Great entry! Super clean and well executed. Am I the only one who noticed the trader ships are named after Ludum Dare streamers? That was funny lol Great job!
I do not want to remind you of what happened when I FINALLY grinded 2500 food for that treasure map... heart. broken.
Really lovely experience, Bauke.
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my livestream and for the cameo in the game! :D
