I found this strangley absorbing. I would prefer if I could adjust my aim a bit sooner after firing (waiting for the truck to land feels a bit painful sometimes). Also, allowing for a truck to miss but slide/roll onto the target should count, but with a lower score. Overall pretty fun.

Really good! Funny, quite engaging and the right level of difficulty. It definitely needs a bit more variety and the actual game graphics could use a touch up (the title screen looks amazing). All in all a really solid piece!

Overall pretty fun. I found it a little hard to be precise when aiming with the arrow keys. Aiming with the mouse would have been better. The text that shows up on the bottom of the screen after launching vans disappears a little too quickly. I really enjoyed ejecting packages to land on the houses as the van is shooting overhead. Pretty fun game.

I agree with the other reviewer that it would be nice to correct just after you shoot or have some way to do small corrections mid-flight. Sometimes you clearly see you missed and have to wait a long time.

The game was interesting and fun, I managed to score 28000 points in the first run.

Nice game, well done!

Really like this game idea. Simple but still fun to play!

slimeboos 2023-05-01 14:19

Nice and simple, the gameplay reminds me of golf. The way you need to adjust your direction and force before firing. The only thing I found annoying is that you HAVE to wait until a car hits the ground before doing your next shot, or even getting your next target house. Would be nice for the catapult to be on a cooldown instead, that after some amount of seconds you can shoot again.

9250! Alright!

Although funny, the intro text felt a little too long. Maybe you could have had a TL;DR first, with only the controls? :) I kind of forgot when the shift ended, so a small marker on the clock could have helped me understand how much time was left. I liked the lowpoly clock otherwise, nice touch! The gameplay itself felt a little slow, like too much time was spent waiting for packages to land. The parachute could have been triggered much closer to the ground? And I didn't feel like I controlled the velocity of the van when catapulting it, could I do that somehow?

All in all, nice idea and execution!

Felt like I enjoyed it a bit more than I should have. Nothing that tells the player how many seconds left for each delivery which was a bit annoying when some of them canceled mid air, but that's nit picking :D

Nice little game! Core gameplay loop is fun enough and it's a sign that it get be expanded. I think you can add there some meta game, like upgrading slingshot, buying new vans and something like this. Also small suggestion is replacing wall of text in the start with some kind of dialogs or tips showing throughout gameplay. Well done!)

vectrex28 2023-05-01 15:17

Simple idea but very fun and fits the theme to a T. Would've wanted it to be little more fast-paced but that's just me (and just a tiny tiny nitpick really). Either way it's brilliant, and I really liked that music too! That electric organ sound reminds me of early SNES classics like Magic Sword and ActRaiser :P

fabian-denter 2023-05-01 15:31

Great idea to let players eject the package when they clearly overshot (which happened to me a lot). Got the hang of it after a while and it was pretty fun! Sometimes I clearly hit a target, but it wouldn't register a hit. Overall a nice entry, well done!

randompickle13 2023-05-01 15:56

Funny concept. It looked like a few times the same house was chosen twice in a row, which makes it look like you missed the delivery.

ellaris 2023-05-01 15:57

A little simple but Nice, I loved parachuting the packages out of the vans.

lisyarus 2023-05-01 16:30

Fun game! Got a score of 14000 (wanted to screenshot it but it disappeared too soon). I liked that missing the target doesn't punish you directly (like e.g. decreasing HP) but only means you've wasted precious time on a shot. It was fun trying to hit the target from a slightly weird angle as well (instead of e.g. a top-down camera). I felt like the maximum catapult strength was too much: even with a strength of 2.5 out of maximum 4 the vans would overshoot all the houses by a large margin, which made it a bit hard to tune the strength in the beginning.

Great game! I loved the concept and the intro message - they were hilarious! I also really liked all the little messages near the score counter. The gameplay was quite good too - at first I always just overshot on purpose and ejected the package, but once I realized hitting the house with the van scored more points I switched trying to always do that and it was much more engaging - even though it probably ended up reducing my score as I was quite bad at it :) Still, balancing between trying to hit the houses with the van versus the parcel was a really cool twist and quite engaging. Overall, excellent entry! My final score was 16250.

calicedev 2023-05-01 20:39

pretty fun and funny, having to wait until the van fell all the way down to shoot again was pretty frustrating, and aiming at some of the further away houses was pretty hard due to the camera perspective. The music and sound design are really good too

cinterre 2023-05-01 21:44

I like the amount of loft the vans, though I was disappointed when a van that rolls in doesn't count. As others have said it would be nice to not have to wait so long before firing again. Love the title screen!

zefphyer 2023-05-02 01:55

- Cute concept, and I loved the messages - Wasn't entirely clear if it mattered if I ejected the packages from the vans - A little challenging to aim but I got the hang of it

gary-the-enchanter 2023-05-02 02:49

I thought at first I was supposed to be landing the vans in the circle, and could use the parachute as a backup, but apparently that was not the case.

Overall though it was pretty fun!

pvg 2023-05-02 11:32

I love a good "throw things with physics" game. I wonder how the experience would change if the physics were less floaty--if the gravity and forces were turned up? It might be fun to try adding momentum to the packages as well. Anyway, it's a good jam game, and it would be fun to try some other experiments with this design.

xandruher 2023-05-02 17:06

Score: 25000 The Morning Jammies Guy cannot disappoint! A couple more objects would have made it a bit prettier, but the Gameplay is simple and fun and feels very balanced. I had no issues in facilitating the catapult after a few tries!

justslavic 2023-05-02 22:23

Got 2400 points :sunglasses: A little annoying that I cannot throw another van until the first lands, c'mon I am ready to throw vans all day long as fast as the catapult is ready  Also, if van hits inside red circle, or ends up in the red circle, I would count it as a hit, but for whatever reason I need to hit roof exactly? Very fun game anyway, I never knew I love throwing vans as a delivery sercvice

maximeg 2023-05-16 00:37

Great idea, make me remember the project Zipline, were they deliver medicines in Africa through drone lunched by catapult.

kreshi 2023-05-18 21:57

Nice and creative explanation at start. The gameplay reminded me a bit of angry birds :D (in a positive way). The scale of the game was good chosen ;).
