And now what ? by Nicso 2023-05-01T09:41:53Z
I am impressed that you managed to do all this in 48h :| The game plays nicely even if it is really short, but it could be a nice puzzle game if you continue it.

Nice game. I felt overwhelmed by the number of packages falling and ended up overloading a truck
I got it working. It requires .net Framework 7.0.x which I guess many people do not have installed. In my case, windows 11 requested to install the package and it worked well after.
The game is a bit strange, I won't say it is difficult, but I had trouble finding the z plane where the stones and carriages were located, so I tripped a few times because I just did not realize I was in the same line.
As others mentioned, the catapult is too sensitive, and I could barely see what to do, the graphics are tiny in my monitor (screenshot attached at full screen) review1.png
@tanis I use chrome in windows 11. My monitor is 1440p.
I really enjoyed the game. Ended up delivering the package on the first attempt with only 8% left.
Keep up the good work!
Quite a simple and short game. I was a bit confused by the cars just bumping the character and not dying (I tried if I could die but did not manage). Also, some of the collision boxes for the doormats are weird and even if it was on top it would say it wasn't. Another take on the paperboy concept, it was interesting to see.
I could not figure out how to boost, so the thunder bolt killed me quite often :D.
It looks nice, and I like the animations for the bird. Good work.
This game is amazing. I almost cannot believe it can be made in 48h by one person. Congratulations
Really enjoyable and polished game. Congratulations!
found the game surprisingly difficult. It looks nice to be made in 48h and the sounds are OK for the game. I could not figure out how to drop the packages properly.
I first thought the game was broken, it looks as if there are some spaces to write dialog lines but nothing was written. Then I managed to play and serve 19 angels. The game is interesting but as someone mentioned before, the cutting game takes way too long compared to others. I also had problems with the "circle left" concept, I thing clockwise or counter-clockwise might have been easier to understand. Nice game anyways, good job :)
I cannot access itch.io link either.
I enjoyed the graphics and the music, but the controls are really weird on when the press down the keys to pedal. I ended up crashing more than I wanted :id:
Good game.
I agree with the other reviewer that it would be nice to correct just after you shoot or have some way to do small corrections mid-flight. Sometimes you clearly see you missed and have to wait a long time.
The game was interesting and fun, I managed to score 28000 points in the first run.
Nice game, well done!
The game looks and plays nice, but I only have 2 complaints: - The feathers are very hard to gather (or slow). The first assignment required 4 and in a few minutes, I did not manage to get more than 3. - Some of the items you can interact when they are not visible (and I think it delays them from re-spawning) so accidentally I might have clicked the bird that provided the feather when hidden and delayed even more.
Anyways, it is a nice game, good job!
@ethernal-tech I did not want to offend, it is a great effort, well done! Just wanted to point out the bugs I found :). I'll try again tomorrow and see the updated version. Thanks!
Interesting game, cheating was very helpful or I would have died in the previous to last room.
Good work
I had problems with the web version of Godot 4 and LD website. I managed to get the web build working in itch.io, so I would suggest you upload it there. After you upload it, change the settings and enable the last option like below and all will work :)

The game looks nice but I could not really figure out how to play. I got some apples and then it did not let me get more or do anything else. Also, the controls feel really complicated/weird. (I expected the drone to stabilize and just float if I did not provide input like real-world drones try to do). Now I see there was a key for it, so I guess it is user error :D
@kreshi & @valmontechno - Those are good scores, I'm not even sure what is my high score with the final build as I probably remember some 20 something from easier builds I made previously
@brandon-campbell thanks for the feedback. I thought about it but finally did not include it (Submitted the game at 23:30 local time and did not have energy for more features)
@john-gabriel - Thanks for playing the game. Next time we should try epidural anesthetics before morphine
@tanis - I'm sorry to hear. I checked if I can export to MacOS, but it seems it is not possible from Windows (at least I've never done it before and I get many errors).
It also seems that the html5 build is not working in MacOS in any browser. From the Godot 4 official documentation: >Godot 4's HTML5 exports currently cannot run on macOS and iOS due to upstream bugs with SharedArrayBuffer and WebGL 2.0. We recommend using macOS and iOS native export functionality instead, as it will also result in better performance.
@binroot - I've been in 2 baby deliveries and showing the middle finger is the mildest I can imagine (any other form of swearing would be more NSFW). I'm happy you liked the art style, it was my first attempt at pixel art. Thanks for playing
@rickylee - You are the boss, thanks for playing with such a dedication :sunglasses:
@justslavic - Thanks! Happy you had fun. I only thought about delivering babies, but you are right, double delivery!
@rolly thank you for the review. I agree the current gameplay is exploitable, I might extend it in the future after the jam is over. And yes, the music is 50 notes in a midi piano kind of randomly pressed when I was sleep deprived. I need to experiment with music and sound creation between jams and I will give it a go and test some other instruments instead of piano. This time it was pure improvisation.
@captaindreamcast - Happy you liked it :) @icarusdev2 - Thanks for the feedback. I tried to keep the doctor's speed constant and adjust the other variables to "balance" the game. When the doctor was too fast I had trouble handling everything even if I could get further faster.
@crimoudin - Thanks for playing, I did not expect the middle fingers to be such a success
@kuggenhoffen - Thanks for playing!
@xfinktion - I really need to start experimenting with music in between Jams, I'm a coder and it is my weakest spot. Thanks for all the recommendations, I will have a look over the weekend!
@ellaris - I will probably extend a bit the game once the ludum dare is over. I had many ideas on how to continue but I had no time (I was going to make the babies poop if it took too long to be picked from mum or the doctor carried them for too long). I will prototype your suggestion too, it could work and be easy to implement.
@thomas-bringer - Thanks for playing! I will add some background. Art is not my forte, so I will try to add something simple after this ends.
@linus-lindberg - Thanks for playing and for the suggestions. I will consider it when I do the next version of the game :) @bea - Thanks for playing. Happy you like it. @drtizzle - Thanks for the feedback! And yes, I think the charm of this 48h game is all the handmade in-a-rush stuff. It is suboptimal but it is fun. @aeveis - I guess I never thought past the "a short game of a few minutes", so I will need to think about the progress and how to increase the difficulty and variety. @wetburritosupreme - Thanks for playing
Interesting concept, but the hitboxes of the pizzas in the kitchen are really difficult to aim for, so I need to press several times to get the parts of the pizza or to place the ingredients in the pizza. Then I thought I was going to bake and it was a bin, so I had to start with a new pizza  Good job!
I tried to play twice, but one of the chickens completely clocked the door and did not move and the animation did not play. I liked the music and the idea but unfortunately didn't work for me. (screenshot on how it gets stuck)

Interesting concept, it took me a while to figure out how to play (started playing without reading the instructions)
Good work!
It does not work for me either
Looks really polished and it is a nice touch that the mums walk to the beds. Good job! I'm very bad at these "press the right key sequence" games, so I'm grateful you did not punish the mistakes
It worked nicely for me. I got a first run with an easy track and got 6/16. After I reopened the game for a second try the next track was just a continuous zigzag and I got 0/16. It kind of reminds me of Paperboy from the good old NES.
The game plays well, but it is weird when installed because it has a generic default gamemaker name. The UI shakes when the drone moves, and it would be nice to have an arrow indicating where is the next H. So far it is very time-consuming to find the next drop point. Good job!
You only uploaded the unity exe file, not the associated resources, so the game is unplayable.
Nice little game :)
I really liked the graphics with the simple palette. I tries to play the game, but the doctors always tried to go in a straight line even if I modified the path of the pigeon to go on land.
The game has potential and looks nice. Good work.
It is a bit unfortunate it requires installing a whole browser to play. I tried but I could not figure out the goal of the game. To end the game I had to kill the browser, I could not figure out the exit key. I liked the graphics.
I managed to play but got stuck in a very long jump to the right, the controls feel really floaty, but the game idea is nice :)
Yep, same problem for me. Repo in github empty and itch.io seems to be an unpublished page. I hope you managed to publish it and I can test it :)
I saw same issue, itch page 404 and github empty. I hope you can fix it so we can test the game!
Nice concept, it starts really slow, and then after a while, it is just unstoppable and you cannot lose.
But it is really great for 6h of development. Good work!
