overall "eh" game. text overlays each other. can't deselect buildings. buggy.
Good core mechanics! I think with a UI revamp, perhaps some snapping to building placement, and a clearer building tree could massively improve the game. Good job.
This is a cute idea! The most glaring issue was the text overstepping the bounds of the buttons, which seems like it was probably a resolution issue in testing; it's really hard to read on my monitor. I appreciate the time-saving "don't move the abyss, move the whole town" approach. :)
Certainly more stressful than any other town building game I've played! A nice evocation of the theme, although perhaps having the abyss move towards the town would be more thematically fitting. I somehow managed to bug the game and got a Shaman Tent stuck on my cursor which put a slow but sure end to my poor town. tent.png
Cool idea!
It was a bit too complicated for me and I had a hard time understanding what each building type was doing, especially while panicking about everything falling into the abyss. I think the idea could be an amazing game if you had more time to polish this (including maybe adding a tutorial that would make it easier to learn).
nice and idea and great mechanics but with a some polishing you got yourself a very nice game you can build upon.
Well done, tent got stuck to the cursor on my first attempt but after a restart I was able to lose a town :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Cool game, mate! One really minor thing and pretty easy to fix was the color of the text. Make sure that you set a color that is easily readable. I would have chosen, for example, instead of the black text a brighter color.
Nice Work!
Nice little game ! You kept the art simple, and that is for the best, as your game is really readable. Your take on the theme is clever, and makes for a fun challenge. However, the double click bug ruined many playthroughs in a really furstrating way ; once you solve it, you'll have a pretty great game on your hands !
Ahhh! Not my style of game - too stressful. :) But kudos on what you created.
My thoughts: 1. As a colorblind guy, I had trouble with some of the graphics. 2. Drag-and-drop seems like the wrong mechanic for this concept (which IS a really neat concept, by the way) - I think using arrow keys to highlight a column to drop a structure onto would be faster and less frustrating then clicking and moving the mouse. (Think Tetris. That way you could also drop new stories on towers, etc... but then you've got to find a reason to make an investment in vertical development. Dunno.) 3. I'd scroll it the other direction. It feels weird to go right-to-left instead of left-to-right.
Interesting idea, it needs a bit of polish but you have something here. Some on-boarding would be a good idea, but there's definitely something to explore here.
Good game! Pros: - Really great idea - I like the challenge - Game mechanics make you think fast Cons: - The colour pallete was meh - The ui needs some love - Some sort of tutorial would be nice
Overall, a nice little game, 6.5/10
Good idea, a bit difficult to understand what each type I built was doing (example, it took me a while to figure out wood). One thing I really did like was the constant counter of what you needed when looking at what to build.
