I really liked the visual part, it looks great! And i think that you totally got it with the theme! But still i would like to point that game is too hard for my taste. All this boxes filling up the room really fast, and at some point you have no room (ha-ha, great work with theme!) to move. It's not very engaging to accurately place each of them, so maybe it would be better to make a bit bigger forgiveness to player? I mean - it's fun to move boxes around, but moving EACH box very precisely can be frustrating. Anyway, great job!

Alas I am not adequate at box stacking. It's a very good take on the theme, I feel like im trapped inside a game of tetris. I also have never seen sprite based hand IK before and I love it.

I loved the art style but the gameplay was hard :D

I keep destroying them when i try to be more careful about where i place them xD I do love this game tho! so fun to get covered in boxes xD

I like the idea and the graphical style, but the controls are way too finnicky, I found it very difficult to get anything pushed/pulled around to my satisfaction (which I guess is kind of the point, but I may have gone a little too far.)

Interesting. I really like that hand. It was really hard getting up to the right level even on the first level and when I did, I couldn't find my way out of it, I was stuck next to the roof in a corner. Like some workplace hell. :construction_worker: The instructor voice was a really nice touch but he sounded a bit on the kind side given to working conditions that followed. I think making the first level a bit easier, making sure to reward the player for success. and giving a clearer way out of the room when reaching the goal. Maybe that voice could say something about loitering and taking breaks, and rush the player to the next room.

@local-minimum Ohh sorry, I should have put in the voice over that there was an exit hatch on the ceiling, sorry.

cedric-fey 2018-08-14 22:50

I'm not sure I got the purpose but I had fun. I reached for the exit thinking that was the solution. The meter keep goig up but nothing happens

Amazing entry! My favorite game so far in the jam =) I just felt that it was too hard and couldn't understand why the boxes started breaking. The game looks absolutely amazing, congratulations on that! How did you make it?

Congrats!

togimaro 2018-08-15 20:50

Absolutely lovely arts and really super fun game :D The weird controls are cool, it's hard to not break things x) The second level is great! Having more room to move makes things more pleasant I really enjoy it, hovewer I have a little bit of motion sickness so I don't have play the third level :/

Really good job!

PROS

- fun idea, stacking boxes fun at first - like the overworld idea - good level system

CONS

- trying to stack boxes is boring/tedious - why am I stacking boxes i want to quit my job and become artist - am i even getting more than minimum wage for this 'job'

boaheck-artgent 2018-08-19 17:28

@jern sounds like the intended experience to me!

jessefreeman 2018-08-20 00:05

I didn't really get what I was supposed to do but I really liked the art and the feel of the game. Great voice work I just wish it had given me more direction as to what I should have done with the boxes. At least stacking and breaking them felt rewarding. Hope you add more to it, great job!

foxisxiii 2018-09-01 16:58

It fills totally with the theme requeriment, good job!! I really liked the game, I would only change the tutorial part, a voice tutorial is great, but its alwais better by text, so the player can read it twice if he didn't understand it at the first time. The sensibility of the camera is quite high too, but when you get used to it its easy to control.

PD: When you put a box under you just when you jump, you get stuck over the room and its quite hard to get out of it. But its a great work!!

masterkrepta 2018-09-01 19:41

I loved the graphic style and the voice over work. I couldn't stop laughing at the way the hand animations play out. The hand felt like it could stretch across the entire room. It was difficult to get some of the boxes on top of others since i felt like i was just dragging them around the room. as opposed to actually picking them up for stacking.

dominic 2018-09-02 02:53

Very creative in terms of 3D box stacking and narrated instructions. The art was interesting as well. I found the first level too difficult to complete, even after two long tries and a seemingly full room, so a restart or reset button might be nice. Regardless, though, it is a cool result for a 72 hour game jam.

simogecko 2018-09-03 16:23

good game overall. here is some feedback:

pro: - loved the graphics. very cohesive style, really cool, stands out - the theme is right on point - guided audio tutorial definitely helps

con: - bugs in which the boxes fall through floor. this defies the purpose of the game - I found room 1 already too difficult. couldn't beat it and the system with 3 bars (red/yellow/green) wasn't clear enough for me to understand - you smooth the mouse input to turn the camera. this quickly leads to sickness. just get the input raw from the mouse such that the game feels snappy

with some improvement I would definitely come back. good job!
