fun concept, would be good as a multiplayer or puzzle game if you wanted to develop it more
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD47 → Out of Time

@meowitzer Thank you. Yeah I thought about multiplayer as well, could become a bit messy with physics synchronization etc.
Looking cool and really interesting! Sad that I can't run it on my Mac :(
the concept is great i could not finish the first "puzzle" but great idea
Nice little game you made here it really sets a good mood :)))
Took me a while to realize I could pick the tiles up. But after that I got the gist of it. Pretty cool.
Really interesting concept ! I had some troubles to understand it at first but it came easy to my mind afterwards. That would have been easier if you could jump on the plates you lift. ^^
Really interesting concept. You can build really good game around it.
Thanks all for playing. I guess I should have added some clues but alas, I was out of time lol. I don't want to spoil it though.
@malashik I'll try to build a mac version tomorrow, maybe linux even. @nickzouk What did you have trouble with? @giordas @wahooney @just-dante Thanks! @grommel You just got to keep trying ;) There are some known bugs, I mean features, left in the game...
Very interesting experiment. I can imagine a good game with the mechanics. Congratulations.
Nice little experiment.
I had been trying (and failed) to go through the roof by lifting the plates and then walking on them, but they were too small and too slippery, to the point where I wondered if I was even meant to go through the roof in the first place .
The jumping didn't work well for me, sometimes I could jump and sometimes I couldn't.
From what I saw, the concept seems very promising, it just needs a bit of work to make it less hard (e.g. by making the plates bigger and making them less slippery) and extend it with more content and interesting levels.
Good job overall!
@mvasko2 Thanks for giving it a try and for the encouraging words! Yeah jumping doesn't feel great. I should have gone with a ready made FPS controller instead of rolling my own.
Also Unity's built in physics engine really doesn't lend itself well for this kind of scenario, not deterministic enough. Either that, or I did something wrong.
I'm already imagining dome puzzles that involve time travel but no physics... we'll see =)
Nice game! I really liked the graphics and sound effects. I managed to reach the Power button after a couple of tries, but all it did was turn off the time machine. Is that the goal, or did I miss something? Also, it would have been nice seeing ghosts of your previous attempts. Other than that, good entry!
Concept is here but need more information about what to do ^^ it's fun to try and discover but I was really lost for a while before noticing that thing move the way I did in the past and I have to push this power button to stop the loop. A little "success" message can be good too. Maybe you didn't have time for other levels. The jump command is a little messy. Anyway keep jamming it's a good entry!
Nice use of the theme! Really enjoyed building steps up to the power button.
The idea in this game is really great, unfortunately it is pretty buggy :)
One more review for you before you're out of time ! Graphics are good, the time travel thing works, physics are a bit weird, but overall, well done. There's just two big negatives :
1 - I think when it comes to this kind of games, a button to go back is a necessity. What I mean is : I've waited a bit, taken a slab, moved it up, now I'm done, I would like to go back in time to jump on it and not have to wait for the 30s timer to end
2 - I don't really understand what you're supposed to do. Was hitting the power button the ending ? If yes, I did it, but It felt like there might be more and if it is, I missed it, cause I had no clue what to do.
