LD49 — Unstable

Instability by R3L0ad1 2021-10-06T19:07:09Z

Nice work. I liked this a lot. Although I'm sure you are aware that this game can be a little unforgiving at times. Some runs you are just at whim to the rng gods, whether that be platform height delta being too large or the screen moving to fast to do chain rope to rope. All of those are minor issues, knowing that balance for something like this is difficult in a Jam. My one major issues with the game is that it takes far too long to get into the next run. Please, allows me to get addicted to your game.

After spending some time I managed to get around 65 highscore. One idea, which I'm not sure would work, is disabling the player collision with the rope after releasing. That way you might be able to freely swing from rope to rope which at the current moment is awkward if you get trapped higher up the robe. Overall, great work. And great work marketing this game. I saw those epic gifs everywhere.

Really top entry. The physics were something to get used to I would say but not a complaint. Had a lot of fun playing this. Great stuff.

Unstable_Alpha_Quest by Dustin Brown 2021-10-08T10:21:19Z

Did a full playthrough. Wasn't expecting to play for that long but you had me gripped. Quite an interesting take on the theme. Immediately when I got in, I could tell the game was well put together. A small list on the menu would be nice to show me which commands got accepted, just had some doubts at the beginning whether my commands worked and if they carried over between games. But once I got the hang of it, it all was clear. Great entry overall.

The Nuclear Ball by 0X_VOID_X0 2021-10-08T09:44:36Z

Really nice work, great job on your first entry. Loved the music and the controls were just the right amount of skill testing. Nice incremental level design. Did a full playthrough and had a lot of fun. One small bit of feedback would be checkpoints feel really good in a game like this. I don't know how it would tie into the flavour of the game, perhaps shortcuts open up as you progress. But overall, great work.

A day in a life of an electric spaceship owner by spacecadet 2021-10-08T19:47:15Z

Yeah cute game. I really like the work you put in to capture the atmosphere, all of the moving parts etc. That opening cutscene is really nicely staged. Sweet game.

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

a Tiny Working Day by Alexis Roca 2024-10-09T18:56:03Z

This is a cute simple game - the art style is great. I think this game would have been interesting if the rooms were introduced one by one, building the complexity and give the player a chance to learn how to interact with each. But no criticism outside of that, this is complete charming experience.

Tiny Economy by Hawkin 2024-10-14T19:58:55Z

There's a seed of a cute enjoyable game here. The lack of intensity or large overarching goal I don't find to be an issue, I think there's a space for games where I can relax and make a tiny beautiful little village without the desire for endlessly min-maxing numbers. Additionally, you might double down on this concept by naming your village, taking a screenshot of it or maybe control more minute details.

It's difficult not to over scope in a jam game; I always say plan what you want to make and then cut that in half, but going forward the one mechanic I think I would want to add to this game is having multi-tile pieces to place. This would quickly scale the placement complexity and an emergent layer of problem solving and planning would really elevate this game loop.

I hope you stick at this one, I'd like to see it grow over time. I had a relaxing time playing this, well done for submitting!

Sheep County by Steamhat 2024-10-09T22:05:19Z

What a great entry. The atmosphere and art are so beautiful and serves as a perfect backdrop for the rage (in a good way ) that I received playing this. I think subliminally I was probably sending sheep off the edge of the cliff purposefully to enact my revenge. I could really see this as a lovely co op game to play with a friend similar to Moving out. Awesome job team.

Mini Beaker by LePeridot 2024-10-09T19:10:34Z

Wow, what an entry! Great interpretation of the theme, beautiful art, made me laugh, the way you built up the mechanics and the intensity of the game was flawless. Everything you want a jam game to be, no notes.

Soul's Descent by maneoliz 2024-10-09T19:03:16Z

Cool sound track and vibe. I found myself getting caught sometimes on the geometry and I think there could be some better signposting in certain level interactions such as making it clear what kills me and where air geysers air. Well done for submitting.

Green Shell by Kekwu 2024-10-09T18:50:21Z

Well done for submitting - there's a lot of love in this game and the cutscenes were a really nice addition to the journey. I found myself a little disoriented at times and wasn't always sure if I was doing the right thing - I think with a little more player feedback (Sound etc.) and clearer objectives this would be a smashing game. I definitely felt like a tiny creature in a big world, nice work.
