Lovely artwork - great pixel art, and a lovely colour palette
I liked the attention to visual effects. Game has a good rhythm once you get going. Loved the cinematic intro.
Except for the different pixel sizes this game looks awesome.
Nice game! And it's fun once I figured out exactly what to do. Well done!
Great work guys! Fun little game nice graphics and feel
Loved the art and the cutscenes. The music was also very good. However it took a while to understand the gameplay properly. Some tutorial would've been nice.
It explodes. I need companions to maintain
Very fun took quite a few tries to get the spaceship charged fits the unstable theme well.
Yeah cute game. I really like the work you put in to capture the atmosphere, all of the moving parts etc. That opening cutscene is really nicely staged. Sweet game.
I love the voice acting in the intro its awesome
The animation is really nice and the game is engaging enough to hold my attention for a long time.
I couldn't figure out what to do (I could pick up the little wrenches but wasn't able to actually do anything with them), so a little more indication/instruction might be nice. But the comments are generally positive, so maybe I'm the idiot here.
Like a couple of people said it took me a bit of time to figure out how it's supposed to work. Written instructions at least would have helped; in-game hints even better of course.
One problem I was having was the sparks on the spaceship were hard to fix, the hitbox for it seemed to be off, so the ship wasn't repairing.
but once I did figure it out - super fun. I really liked how the graphics and music and personality worked together. A good balance of fun and satisfaction. I could imagine fleshing it out with a difficulty curve of some sort.
Having an opening cutscene was a great touch.
I loved the art they made here, really very good. It cost me a lot to go up and down the stairs, I wasted time finding the right point to go down or up, that could be improved. And it would be great if you could polish the game more and add more stuff, good job!xD
The intro is very good here! Thanks for the game and fixing bugs. Grats!
appreciated the intro and the music. all the artistic decisions worked well with each other. The game it's self was a spinning plates (or more accurately a put out the fires) kind of fair. there is room for growth but it's a fun idea.
the intro cutscene was pretty funny, with the scream, and nonchalant switch flipping.
i liked how the game challenged me to plan and replan a good route to navigate the level that efficiently picked up the right tools and dealt with the challenges as they appeared.
however! not being able to jump off ledges was pretty frustrating. also not being able to switch a wrench for cup of water was frustrating, instead i had to walk over to the nearest disaster, waste it, then walk back to get the right tool.
one thing that confused me was the ship in the basement started freaking out, but nothing i could do interacted with it. i guessed this was just supposed to be a visual indicator of the ship's health, but visually it had the same treatment as the intractable elements. i went back to read the instructions, and realized i just needed to press space with no tools to fix it. i think making that clear in the game itself would have been nice.
i got close, but failed just one or two pixels away from a full charge.
Super fun game with great sound! It really adds to the tension :)
Very cool entry. The sounds were charming and the art style very cute. It did take me a little bit to figure everything out but after a few tries I was able to beat the game. Overall a very nice game :)
Very cute and funny game.
The gameplay is intense though. The only problem I can see is a hitbox of stairs. Quite often you think that you should be able to use the stairs but it's not the case and you net few more steps to adjust the character.
Quite a fun and frantic game. The beginning cutscene stands out as impressive, and I like the art in general, although a little extra color variety could make the scene stand out a bit more. The collider areas are a little too small for my liking, and picking up water or a wrench while running past them failed a bit too often, not to mention using the stairs. Considering the amount of focus the game puts on moving and acting as fast as possible, that's a very central thing that hinders the experience, but fixing it shouldn't be too difficult. Aside from that, the game is quite simple to understand and very enjoyable. I always appreciate jam games that can be picked up and played without having to read or go through a tutorial.
Thank you all for playing our game and giving us precious feedback!
@alex-chertilin Did you make sure that the ship was plugged in as much as possible? If not, it won´t charge and you will eventually blow up with the factory.
@zanedd @aymarx @benk We though that with reading the controls from the description the rest would be self explanatory (ie. water to fire, wrench to broken stuff, plug the cable when it disconnects) but apparently it wasn't.
@benk @sakura-magika Yeah the sparks in the spaceship are a bit miss leading as you cannot interact with them with the wrench. You are supposed to just press spacebar near it and it will connect the cable back in.
@sakura-magika You can waste the water or use the wrench on nothing, just not when near other some other tool or the cable. It is frustrating however and I wanted to fix it but we run out of time (the classic problem :D )
@nicekot @eyedromeda I noticed the problem with the ladders also now that I had a week break playing it. They seemed just fine when I was testing during the jam :D But well, they could definitely be bigger as well the rest of the colliders to be able to pick stuff easier while running.
Hey! That was an amazing experience! Opening scene, audio is outstanding, fun and simple idea for a little game. Just like everyone above said the colliders for ladders are really small, also I kinda was lost about plugging in the ship. Thanks for this game! It was great!
Cool game
Fun idea, I think I've played another indie game along these lines but the name escapes me. Great animation at the beginning! Wrench to sparks was a little bit unintuitive to me, and the font on the transition and the button at the end seemed out of place with the otherwise 8-16bit aesthetic. Great music and all around an impressive entry. I couldn't get past the first stage, are there other levels?
