LD42 — Running out of space

Phase Shift by mitjmcc 2018-08-17T00:14:01Z

Nice level design, cool mechanic and great exploration of that mechanic. Some of the animations don't blend together nicely but when you're so focused on the gameplay it is easy to stop noticing that. The visuals are also very clean and focused on the core mechanics of the game. <3

Ice Moon by LTyrosine 2021-10-07T18:06:40Z

I could play this for hours. Really reminds me of Elite Dangerous driving around on moons and collecting resources. I will say that I don't think the vehicle being unstable was the most creative approach to the theme, but it is a very impressive game to have made in 72hrs. Would be cool to see more of this!

Interstellar Highway Robbery by Corny 2021-10-14T14:56:35Z

Really love the idea and presentation. This kind of aesthetic is my cup of tea. I wish the gunplay had a bit more impact, that part lacks some crucial gamefeel. Other than that this is really solid ldjam entry.

Overall a solid physics puzzler! One of those games that you think is going to be simple but continues to provoke deeper and deeper thought. Nicely done.

Ark by ProdigalSon 2021-10-06T19:57:24Z

Loved the puzzle mechanic and the implementation of them. The level design was really spot on throughout.

Timmy's Very Bad School Day by Miyolophone 2021-10-06T02:06:35Z

Absolutely hilarious. Perfect blend of self aware and original. Well done.

Unstable49 - Balance by runrajrun 2021-10-07T15:35:05Z

Simple but effective, nicely done!

The TurnVille Mayor by LemmsG 2021-10-05T01:55:50Z

Very clever take on the theme, and clever approach to the genre. The UI needed communication polish for this game to really work (for instance, using a progress bar for happiness instead of a number).

Dread Knowledge by subcreation 2021-10-05T01:49:08Z

An ambitious kind of game to go for, and its got potential. The biggest issue was a general lack of clarity in communicating the core mechanics (which is obviously very hard to do in a short period of time). The overall game "board" was very cool and impressively constructed.

Babel by cauldron 2021-10-07T15:49:28Z

Good simple graphics, nice style. I wish there was a bit more variety in the kind of parts falling. I think the physics were nicely tuned to make it feel fair, which is always a challenge.

LD54 — Limited Space

Orbital Operations by bmacintosh 2023-10-02T16:50:21Z

I love the idea of a space flight control operator game, and the vibes of the game are neat. I feel like I either missed something or the games pacing is too slow. I know its a space game, but I found the time between ships departing to be too long and I only ever saw two ships, not sure when more were supposed to appear? Either way, i liked the concept and execution, possibly some bugs / lack of explanation that made it hard to enjoy.

Forklift Frenzy: Limited Space Edition by denvil 2023-10-02T16:59:02Z

I liked your interpretation of a forklift game! I found some of the obstacles in the warehouse to feel a little arbitrary, but I love the idea of and implementation of the shop and the upgrades! The timed requests were also a neat stress-inducing mechanic, however I felt like it starts off WAY too fast.

Limited Space in Space by Fifut 2023-10-01T22:23:30Z

Well scoped game for compo. Good execution and nice job on the polish! I'm always impressed when I see a jam game with actual controller UI

Galaxy in a Box by Haydads 2023-10-03T15:09:49Z

Screenshot 2023-10-03 110834.png Simple game that fits the theme really well. I love how chaotic it gets, while still making me feel like I am in control. Also great job on the very clear tutorial! My only wish is that there was more visual feedback that you took damage.
