Really cool game!!
Simple and very effective, the idea is brilliant!
That was very fun. The controls are a little touchy, but honestly, when I overcorrected on something that accidentally sent the rocket flying way off course it was pretty funny. It took a long time to get my first satellite orbiting, but after that run I got like 6 orbiting. I think that's a pretty nice difficulty curve, like it's definitely a difficult game, but not unfair. My only issue with the web version is that the vertical height was too large so I couldn't frame the entire game in the browser.
Original controls for an idea that doubly fits the theme! Congrats.
The toy is very challenging starting from the 1st rocket which is a good thing imho because I replayed the heck out of it to put one. I'll probably trying to beat my best (1) soon.
So congratz for creating a game with good replay value.
The windowed version doesn't fit on screen and zooming the page creates very strange behaviour (the game seems rendered in absolute units while the UI is in relative units?), so when I try again it'll be on downloadable version.
Well scoped game for compo. Good execution and nice job on the polish! I'm always impressed when I see a jam game with actual controller UI
Neat control scheme. I think some others have mentioned the window size kinda getting in the way, but otherwise very fun
It's very intersting idea. Thanks!
not only the idea is great the mechanic is good too . not too challenging at first(you still have to put in orbit your first satellite )but it becomes tricky once you've launched the first satelitte it allow us to aprehend and understand the controls before serious business arrives, the first rocket is a tutorial on it's own .
Anyway it's fun .
That is a super cool concept.
Took me a sec to understand how the throttle works, but once I figured it out it was pretty fun! Reminds me of the web games I'd play on a certain math-related website back in elementary school lol!
Fun to play, but I got frustrated by the controls. It's hard to gauge when you've achieved enough thrust to take off vs too much sending you off-screen. I'd like if there were some arrow that could point where your ship is (when off-screen) and some indication of its orientation. I would fly off screen and be unable to recover.
I enjoyed this game. The gravitational pull of earth when the rocket is flying is a neat touch. Overall well done!
I havent played enough kerbal space program to master this one :D I found it very hard and the variance on the target zones is very high. But cool concept and well done in the time!
This game is super fun I played for like ten minutes until I realised its a throttle and not a one time boost XD
I really like the menu and transitions is really well done can't believe you did that in 48 hours.
Fun game, good concept great execution, would have been nice to seen some fuel sliders though
interesting game,good fun
Well done, menus and feel are great. You're only a few steps away from being the next KSP!
Well made! I like the musik its very catchy. I would have liked there to be more of a clear goal or alternative objectives. Maybe coins spawning, specific locations for bonus points etc.
Simple and effective, it's all sound, a menu, it's well explained... On the other hand, it's still super hard
I love how simple this game is with no flaws and very very enjoyable. I like that you have a how to play section.
Loved this. I have a weak spot for these "lander" style games. You even added a manual orbiting mechanic to it... this game ticks a lot of boxes for me. Clever way to look at the theme as well. Pretty fun
I really enjoyed this game, simple and effective gameplay. I got fooled by the music, thinking it was a important to be quick instead of fuel management. But after figuring that out, this turned out to be KSP 3. Great work
Great idea and a good gameplay loop, with easily visible difficulty increase.
Works on Manjaro.
I like the Gravitar-style gameplay. I can manage to orbit satellites, but not to not collide with other satellites. The throttle needs those indirect controls to work with digital inputs, but have you tried to control it directly with an analog trigger?
PB: 6 satellites.
@MrSamafu @TrebleColby @dhavavamba @novicedevgames @SoloAdventurerGames @Dovodx @Germdog53 @2TheGameChanger @bayunyoubi @jon-curtin @TasakaSama @InfinityE @GettingRekt @ellaris Thank's for playing and feedback everybody :thumbsup:
@rcxa Thanks for the feedback! You're right, the size of the game is a bit too big for the web.
@Sevansevan Thanks for playing. I'll have to test the different ways of managing screen size in Godot to avoid this kind of behavior.
@kartik-kini Thanks for the feedback! Making a UI in Godot is very simple, it's one of the strong points of this game engine.
@cyber-puffin Thank's for the feedback. I'm taking note of this improved off-screen rocket indication for a future post-jam version.
@poopgames Thanks for playing. It's easy to make animations in Godot. With the animationPlayer you can easily animate anything in the game. You have a fuel gauge on the bottom left by the way
@r8teful Thanks for playing. You are right, I have a lot of idea to improve this game like asteroid, aliens, bonus, etc.
@leparlon Gravity tooke me too much time to be effective
@Sentmoraap Thanks for playing. I didn't manage the analog controls, but it's definitely an improvement. Have you tested the web version under Manjaro or the executable version?
@fifut I tester the Linux binary.
How addictive to get the satellite in place. Every time you know you can do better next run :) I had fun playing your game thank you !
A lot of fun! I will bookmark this one to improve my measly 6 satellites 😄. I like the music and sound effects a lot. I'm missing a full-screen option so I can actually play with controller without moving my mouse cursor around (played on itch). Maybe it's just me, but the circles closer to Earth felt a bit too hard compared to the outer ones.
Nicely done! Definitely takes a few tries to start understanding how to get them in orbit!
Not sure why people keep thinking that space-related setting is somehow "limited"
Nice game, pretty tough until I got my first satellite then I got 2 more XD
managed 3 satellites before I lost one off the screen and couldnt bring it back, great fun though
SPAAACCEEE!! the ship controller was really fun to use, and the music was bangin! great work!
Nicely done, a Kepler Syndrome game is something I've had kicking around in my head for awhile. I wished I could refuel my rockets somehow. Incredible that you made the music on a PSX tool!
The mechanics of this game are really fun. Normally I'm not a big fan of rocket ship controls, but you made them work well here. I like how each satellite you successfully launch poses a risk to your future rockets, and how you have to finesse your rockets within the launch zone. The game is pretty difficult but I had a lot of fun moving each rocket and avoiding the other satellites.
Personally I think the game is hard enough without a fuel bar. There were several times where my rocket fell over and I had to use all my fuel just to get it off the earth, and I had no more to control the rocket. I also think you should make the launch zones bigger, but gradually decrease them as you successfully deploy more satellites.
Overall, you did a great take on the theme and made a fun game with it. Great work!
Really cool take on the theme! I had to try and crash in an existing satellite to make sure that it was actually limited, and it was :D
The gameplay is pretty cool, and the physics are well done! The size of the ring is actually perfect, making it easy enough and challenging at the same time.
I loved the small animation in the menu! Nice touch!
I'm not a big fan of the music track, but I guess it's just personal tastes. I'm wondering if the mood would have been different with a more calm space-y track.
Good game!
Fun and challenging! I couldn't get past 3 satellites. The menu transition was pretty cool. I loved the music - it's awesome you made it in a PS1 game.
I got 5 satellites! It took me a hot minute to really understand how to play though. Something about the acceleration or throttle or something felt a bit off but I'm not really sure what, it was still very fun nonetheless and quite challenging. I think it fit the theme really well too and is even kind of relevant to current events with all those internet companies wanting to throw a million satellites in orbit
Awesome game, I especially liked the music!
At first I kept going off screen (and the game didn't really end there a couple of times, it didn't register me leaving the playable area). Then I realized that you have to go really slowly. I also found it a bit weird that you don't actually need to get into orbiting trajectory, just to stay in the highlighted area for a few seconds.
Great job, I had a lot of fun playing the game and figuring out its mechanics!
That is a cool game, but is very hard too. I enjoyed learning and seeing how i was improving, but struggled to get to 3 satelilites. Good one!
Nice compo game, fairly challenging. I sometimes had a few problems when the orbit circle was partly outside the screen.
Nice game! Good take on the theme. Congrats
I always like space games and the theme fits in the game so the game is brilliant! Congratulations!
fun! It took me a few tries to realize i had to think of this more as a "drifting" game than an orbit game!
fun game. I especially like the rocket sfx. Very true to the theme
