I really liked the mood on this one and the animation on the frog made it for me 😂 Really simple mechanic that felt super nice to play.
the game play is fun and catchy and that cardboard art style is amazing, it work so well with the game
The style is unique the the platforming is fun!
Very cute animation & tune. Couldn't figure out how to "keep the rhythm" - felt like the water catches up to me after a fixed time regardless of what I do.
After the start of the game, I didn't see the water again. I guess I was just outpacing it very well. I just kept going until I accidentally jumped off a platform with about 160 points, I think. An indicator as to how far ahead you are would be good.
I like the graphics, the cardboard cutout style in front of the photographic rocks. Looks very good. The pitch shift in the croaking is good, stops the sound getting old and repetitive. Volume sliders would be good.
Really like the design of those two fishes that are about to eat you :fish:. Gameplay-wise I think I missed the point of the rythm, I kept spamming arrows and the water level never catched me again. Game could use some particles to make it all flashy, but overall fun and pleasing. Good job :)
Really simple game but super fun! Nice job!!!
Simple but still a bit tricky game :) Great music and sound effects. Loved the art style with the card board look.
@yagmurumsu, you were right, similar premise to my submission. Great minds think alike :D
Really liked the art, sound and vibe. The gameplay didn't feel as rewarding as I initially hoped. As long as you press the right buttons it doesn't matter what you cadence is. The option for different difficulties is nice but it didn't change gameplay at all just the length of time you could play it for.
I think it would be really cool to be able to jump more than one space horizontally at a time or something just to spice up gameplay. There was a lot of space of the screen that wasn't used at any given point in time and there weren't any choices the player had to make besides left or right and one of those would result in a game over. Didn't feel much player agency.
Again can't stress just how much I liked the art and sound.
All in all, 'twas an enjoyable experience and has the potential for a lot more in the future!
Loved the art style, it reminds me of Paper Mario and Little Big Planet alot, really simple game, but effective. Great submission!
I like frog and animation of it, but background + platforms...after 1 minute play eyes hurt. Generally not bad
5 stars for dat frog. The animation and charm of the cardboard look work great. Thank you for adding variation to the ribbit sound. If that was the same sound over and over I would have literally died.
Catchy fun game. Great art, the frog is a super winner. The sound is great too. Overall, well done.
I don't know if there's an actual end to the game or if it just keeps on going, but my poor coordination means I will simply press the wrong button after a while and that's that.
I see the water in the screenshots of the page, but in my limited time playing it hadn't caught up to me. I Don't know if that's whether I die too fast or whether I am simply great at the game until I quickly am not... I assume the former.
The art is pretty cool - normally I harp on an overuse of grey, but there are color tones in these textures and it works a lot better. Obviously there's a slight disconnect between the character sprite and the background, but it works. I appreciate the progress bar being a green tone that's in the frog, simple color matching like that gives is what makes it a color scheme.
Nice art and music. I'm not sure I was able to figure out what the mechanic was with keeping the rhythm though. It seemed like I could just jump whenever I wanted to without consequence (until I inevitably jumped the wrong direction).
Great work! I really love the cardboard graphics! By the way it reminded me a game called jumping joe & friends.
One of my favorite game so far. great work, congrats !
Nice and simple! Cool art style and nice music. Good job with the game.
Cool concept! Love the way the frog has multiple sound effects when jumping, and how it turns 2D while jumping.
It's almost a zen game or rhythm game! I just get lost in A and D keys with this frog!
Fun hyper-casual! Easy to play and understand.
Would love to play with a movement buffer and on mobile ^^
Love the difficulty option and easy to play. Great game!
