I really like the meta-ness of this game!

I really like the meta-ness of this game!
Thanks alot ;)
Greetings from Germany! :D Very innovative idea!
I couldn't start the game XD I guess that was intended
I've never had so much fun not being able to start a game! Great work with meta, interesting take on graphics :smile:
Nice Game. Using paper as graphics is a really great idea.
Thanks alot to all of you ;)
Overall a funny and interesting little game. Well done.
Really funny and smart, great idea for a jam game!
Greetings from Duisburg. This idea is really cool :D. It took some time, but I was able to "finish" the game, even though it did not start. Full points in Innovation!
Really unique idea and its executed greatly, I personally wouldnt change this to a better drawings paper n paper sketches all seem in harmony, good job congrats!
This is REALLY **REALLY** creative. Games that go outside themselves for mechanics are really intriguing, so very well done.
@mlkvr @megamasterx @westmave @slimmerburger thanks alot
Sorry I don't have a windows computer to play. Sure looks fun and creative! (If you ever post an HTML version, let me know :))
it's an interesting and unique idea. very interactive, and I like that it could lead you outside of the game. and I had fun playing it. thanks for the game. well done!
Brooo out of all the games I played this is in the top 5 lol it's really incredible, I mean it!
@vivyhasadream @0x-void-x0 thanks so much ;)
Rofl, the youtube link got me good. Funny stuff, man :) I relate to the slump.
I really enjoyed your game. It made me laugh a few times. FYI, it didn't hang when I hit X, but it did hang with the auto-close. My network is pretty aggressive about security, so if it was just hanging due to waiting for analytics, you can ignore that problem.
Very interesting idea, it's nice to see a game where you need to go outside the game to play it somehow!
Such a clever idea! Nice job!
dddd.PNG I mean, the title, it wasn't clickbait.
Very interesting idea! I am kinda unstable because I can not start the game but that's how the theme goes. Great Job!
Thanks to all of you @adriankrawczyk weird that should not happen, did you maybe try to start the x64 on an x86 system?
There's a problem with downloadable unity games on my computer i think, i'm sad that your game doesn't have webGL build.
Likely this entry stood out the most of the ones I have rated :smile: Big congrats on your entry... I'm a little curious in regard to if this was your idea from the start? On the video it sounded almost like you were at some point considering another kind of entry.
Have a fantastic day :smiley:
This is such a cool idea! I love when games break the boundary like this. amazing job!
@adriankrawczyk I tried but I used some functionality that would probably be not possible in a web gl build.
@purpledartfrog I was thinking about a game like this from even before the jam (not the video part just the concept) and than when the theme was announced I thought it would be a great fit.
@r3l0ad1 thanks alot
Really cool idea!
This was equal parts frustrating and amusing lol. Interesting concept. Must have been really fun to make and figure out what kind of puzzles you want to add to keep the player trying to figure out what to do next.
Absolutly loved it! Reminded me of "There Is No Game". It was a bit short but the ending is brilliant and you won yourself a wishlist. Really great work!
@sockenpuppe thanks glad you liked it
@sir-onionknight To be honest it was really hard for me to know if the puzzles would be hard or easy. @tombuston thanks so much (for liking the game & the wishlist) and about it being to short, I actually had one more puzzle I wanted to make, but I cut it due to me being tired and time constraints ;)
I really like this kind of games, very nice job! I wish the actual game was longer but I get that time constraints don't help with that. Great work!
What a creative approach to this game! I loved the rambling monologues too...very relatable.
I appreciate a game that knows how to close itself.
As I don't come from a developer background, I have no idea whether the following is an intended red herring, but when Player.log opened up, it had (among other things) the following text, and I spent way too much time trying to figure out how to modify sharedassets0.resource before eventually giving up and asking for hints, only to find the answer was online.
First video frame not zero: 1 (0.032943s). Result may be out of sync. Please make sure tracks all start at 0 in C:/Users/Carraka/Downloads/You Can Not Start This Game x86/You Can Not Start This Game_Data/sharedassets0.resource
@carraka sry for the confusion this was an error I got during development because of the video I used. But to be honest I have no idea how to fix it and it didn't impact the game. We I guess it impacted your game.
Absolutely loved how self-referencial this game is to the whole game jam development process, and to playing it in general. Totally hilarious, especially the monologues. I unfortunately did get a bug where the game crashed when the folder automatically opened. What a fun idea though, well done!
@brainloaf-studio oh thats bad :( sry
@parttimeindie It's all good, I still had a fun time!
A beautiful game, I love the volumetric lights and the controls are very smooth. Nice idea for a game.
@falawiska thanks yea the lights wont get more realistic than this ;)
@brainloaf-studio ok still would love to know what happened
A very fun entry, it's like a crossover between a bug fixing session and an audio book. :D Love the hand-made menu interface, great idea and well executed! The game crashed when trying to close itself, but considering the theme it was a perfect fit of course and more of a feature than a bug. ;)
Paper is cool. At the final point I wished for some unstable events with quitting the game or having unusual logs in the executive folder. Anyway, very creative concept (especially when there's not much time). However wished for more playing than actually listening to some Stanley Parable vibe. Nice touch with youtube).
@ardorugus Yea I wanted to create more content, but wasn't able to finish it in time ;)
I could tell right from the start you are German. I couldn't tell anything else that was happening though. In conlusion that menu could use some work in usabillity. Some really cool ideas in there. I just wish the solution was to smash all keys on the keyboard at once.
@davision interesting can you tell me what your issues with the menu was? Just so I know what to look after in the future.
Clever. Unusual. A really good entry - weird :/
Interesting concept, well done!!
Very creative lol, liked the dialogue a lot and it was very intriguing. Good execution on being experimental, some games feel outside the box just for the sake of being different but this felt like it compromised at nothing to get a few specific mechanics/ideas off. Honestly fantastic
Very refreshing, so weird but so good :muscle: :fire:
Greetings from Austria
So weird XD I loved it
О, да это же последователь There is no game! Я рад, что люди играют в эту игру. Она действительно хорошая. И эта игра тоже хорошая!
Very interesting game! It made it into the second part of my let's play series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5X9Ha1_nE8 PS: I reconsidered and I think I was a bit too harsh in the video, it is quite the creative game you made here, so I bumped up some of the ratings a notch :) Also took another look at School of Magic, it looks pretty cool and I wish you all the best for it!
@erkberg thats completly fine you finished the Game realy fast and did Not even Need to Look Up the solution to the last partI probably should have made it more difficult so you can't just guess it
Excluding long dialogue this was quite interesting. I think the main issue is long waiting for the narrator to stop speaking but I never saw someone go this far with a 4th wall breaking game in a game jam. Good job
@dock-frankenstein @erkberg since you both have the same issue, I wanted to say that I definitely did not expect players to just listen and wait for me to get finished. I expected that you would try stuff while listening, but I failed to lead the player to the desired behavior, so next time I will think about that more.
And thanks again for your feedback.
Hahaha, very nice idea, that really put me in a good mood :)
Probably the best implementation of the "Unstable Game" idea I've seen. The fact that you have to tab out of the game and interact with your PC to solve some puzzles sells the idea of the broken game that you have to fix. Also, the handdrawn graphics look sooper cool and eyecatching. I always wanted to do the game with a similar art style, but never got to it thus far. Maybe someday:slight_smile: TLDR: Very cool game, great job!
@gaming-night @annie-owl thanks so much to the both of you, I am glad you enjoyed it.
I really love the idea, Good job! :D
Wow this was so unique and creative! I do wish it was a little longer though, as it seems there was just the 1 puzzle until I made it to the end, unless the steam page was not the end and that's a misdirection? Either way I thought it was pretty awesome.
@sharks thanks there were 2 puzzles but you probably solved the second just by trying around a little. The idea was that you go to the itch.uo page and check the forum's. But I wish I had time for more (had 2 more planned I think)
@theblindeye thx
Congratulations for the game, for me it became difficult to solve it because it's not my language, maybe a subtitle can help those who don't know it, I really liked the art style, and it might be a suggestion to make a more dynamic game telling the story of a character using this mechanic of papers and hands would be very beautiful!, I don't know how it works for those who master the language, but I found the dialogues very big with little action, it's a great idea that if worked with enough interactions can reap great results, i hope i have helped, if you didn't give your feedback to my game i would like to receive i would be very grateful, a big hug.
I think if you have some problems with the game, it will be better to search decisions in internet, or to choose some other games to play. There are so many modern online activities nowadays, so everyone can find something interesting! For example check [BETO.com](https://beto.com/en/casino-reviews) site, here you will find the best casino games and sites.
